Mother-in-law Return

At night, when the sun goes down it gives off a reddish color and closes all the horizons. Tyr was in the kitchen preparing dinner while Winifred helped Blair with his homework.

At that moment, the door of the living room was opened. A middle-aged man and a middle-aged woman carried two large bags.

"Dad, Mom, why are you back?" Winifred immediately rushed to the entrance.

These two people were Winifred's parents; in other words, Tyr's father and mother-in-law!

Winifred's father was Jacob Zea. He is the third son of Jorge Zea. He used to have a position in the Zea Group, but after the incident that happened to Winifred six years ago, his brothers have taken the opportunity to accuse him and deprive him of all his authority in the Zea Group. After that, he became unemployed.

Winifred's mother was Helen Cole. She is a woman who has a strong character.

When Helen entered the room, her expression became wrathful as she denounced, "If we don't return, you might already be gone by now. Where is the beggar? Get him out of here right now."

Tyr who was in the kitchen to make dinner, suddenly heard this commotion. He laughed bitterly. Her mother-in-law did not sound friendly. It seemed like the days he was going to live would be a little difficult.

Tyr took off the apron he was wearing and came out of the kitchen. “Dad, Mother, you've returned."

"Don't call me 'Mother'," Helen suddenly cut off her speech, making Tyr feel awkward. "I've never had a trash son-in-law like you. Tell me, as a grown man hitching his life away from my family, don't you feel ashamed of yourself? For years you have left my family, but now you even have the courage to ask my son back! Who gave you that kind of courage?"

Tyr was stunned, and standing beside him, Winifred, too, he felt extremely shocked.

"Mom, what's wrong with you? Why are you saying nonsense? Since when did Tyr ask me to come back?"

"Iris told me about the events in the company. Winifred, you really have been bewitched by this beggar."

Winifred immediately understood why her mother was acting so angry. Iris must have contacted him to spread discord between them. "Mom, it's not like you imagined!"

"Hmph! Then tell me about everything that has happened. If you don't give me a full explanation today, then don't blame me because I won't show you my compassion."

Seeing Helen's growing anger, Jacob tried to temper her emotions, "Don't be too angry before you can even find out about her sitting problem. We are a family, so we must maintain harmony. Let's eat first!"

"Fuck up with food! Whose family would want to deal with this stinking beggar? Winifred Zea, did you really marry her without telling us. Are you not thinking of us anymore?"

Winifred knew that he was guilty of wrongdoing, then she said in her soft voice, "Mom, I've been telling you for a long time that I'm going to wait for him to come back. And when he comes back, I'll marry him."

Helen was getting angry. "You've gone too far!"

At that moment, Blair ran out with a smile. "Grandparents."

"Don't call me Grandma. Every time I see you, you always make me mad."

Tyr frowned. As a mother, is your attitude not too excessive? I don't mind if you make fun of me, but Blair she's just a five-year-old little girl. She is also your granddaughter. Do you have to use dirty words like that with him?

Tyr was a little annoyed. If you dare to do anything to Blair, don't blame me for disrespecting you as an elder.

However, at that moment, Helen threw one of the bags in her hand in front of Blair. Blair quickly opened his bag to see the contents of the bag that turned out to contain toys. The toys are not packaged but still look quite new.

"Why are you thanking me? I don't have enough money to buy you any toys. These are all toys thrown away by people who no longer want them and I pick them up. Extra baggage like you're just perfect for playing with used toys."

Blair was just a child, so he did not know the harsh words spoken by Helen. He picked up the toy and started to play happily.

Tyr was quietly observing his behavior. Suddenly she realized that she could not understand her mother-in-law at all.

Next, time for dinner. Tyr was the one who cooked the dishes, and his culinary skills were actually quite good. However, from the first bite, Helen kept complaining because this dish tasted terrible like pork. It made Winifred and Jacob feel awkward responding to Helen's actions, while Tyr just smiled bitterly in-laws.

After dinner, Helen immediately pulls Winifred in to ask about the incident at the company. To prevent her mother-in-law from returning to her emotions, Tyr invites Blair to play.

On a long bench in the outdoor park, Blair happily plays with the toy Helen gave him. Tyr was sitting next to him, hugging his chin while he seemed to be thinking hard.

"Blair, what do you think of your grandmother?"

Blair answered with a smile. "Grandmother was always fierce and called Blair an illegitimate child, but Blair didn't hate him."

"Why?"

"Because she's my grandmother!"

Tyr surprised. Why does this little girl sometimes sound like an adult? But his words make sense.

"Father, I'm a little thirsty and want to drink."

"Oh, sure. I'll bring it for you." Tyr stood up to go to a nearby store but then realized that he had rushed out too quickly and did not bring his wallet and phone. "Blair, wait for Papa here. Papa's going home and getting the money."

However, Blair grabbed Tyr. "Papa, you don't have to go home. Blair has money."

As he spoke, Blair took out two ten-dollar bills and several five-dollar bills from his pocket.

Tyr frowned. "Blair, where's this money coming from?"

"Grandma just gave it to Blair."

Tyr was shocked. That was too shocking. Does Blair's grandmother not hate her granddaughter and consider her an illegitimate child? Then why is he still giving her money?

"Blair, you didn't lie to Papa, did you?"

No, replied Blair. "Grandmother gave me the money. He said that adults could not use this money so he gave it to me. He even said that Blair is an illegitimate child and a curse, if I use it, nothing bad will happen. Papa, what does it mean bastard?"

Tyr doesn't know how to explain it. It's totally inappropriate to use the term 'bad boy' on an innocent little girl. She had just changed the subject and asked her daughter, "Blair, is your grandmother always picking things up out there?"

"Yes! Yep!" Blair looked at Tyr with a surprised expression. "Papa, why are you so great? You've even managed to guess something today! Grandma is very lucky. He always managed to pick up toys, clothes, and even money outside. Sometimes, he can even take things for a few times a week!"

Tyr suddenly laughed. The toy bag looks so new as if it has never been used. Her mother-in-law must have deliberately removed the package before giving it to her granddaughter. This mother-in-law is very interesting.
