CORONAS
5. DEPRESSIVE

Jum’at, March 23, 2046, at twelve noon over ten minutes, Yuva invited me to lunch together in the campus cafeteria. His facial muscles work well to put on a cheerful look. A strong woman. The crate he made to hide his troubles and grief seemed solid to be broken into. 137 days – the rest of Life Point seen on his bucket. Every day – every time I meet him on campus, every day I see his Life Point continues to decrease. And every time my body trembles seeing a reduction in its Life Point. Yuva hasn't helped or helped anyone since our date a week ago.

The fear of losing Yuva because her Life Point was exhausted now tailed me like a bloodthirsty stalker. Therefore, I tell her everything I talked to her about last night.

“In other words, I am less sincere in providing help, yes?” muttered Yuva sadly.

“Sorry, not to judge you. But that was just a suggestion from Mom. Who knows if you can be more motivated,”, I said afraid if Yuva was offended.

“No, I'm happy. Maybe your mother's words are true. I am indeed too eager to add to my Life Point, not eager to help others,” he concluded. “So so yes? Hmmm ...”

If I remember, there was someone whose story was very similar to Yuva's. Later his Life Point also did not increase and continue to decrease. He often complains that he does not have time to volunteer because he is too busy with his work. Haven't seen him in a long time. Maybe if we meet him, we can get additional solutions on this case.

“Tante Viola's. You recall? He said he also had this kind of obstacle a few days ago. Maybe he can help me,” Yuva suggested. I heard him say that. “Why? Anything funny?” tanyakanya.

“No, I just thought the same thing.”

“Then it is decided! We go to his house tonight. I have class until six this afternoon. Can?”

“Iya, I'll tell Mom that I'll be home late.”

Maybe if Yuva had been more active since she first installed her caldier, her Life Point wouldn't have been this small. That is something that is often discussed endlessly by a group of micro-sized me in the head. Someone was screaming in annoyance. Someone is always blaming. There are also those who just sleep like in meetings that are often broadcast on television. Nothing gets done if you keep thinking about it.

At exactly six, my phone rang getting a call from Yuva. His last class is over. I told him to meet me in the motorcycle parking lot. Not long after, with hurried footsteps, Yuva came to me. Immediately I handed him a helmet to wear. He climbed into the boncer and I immediately started my motorcycle engine. We immediately exit the campus area and move towards the North towards Bunut – sub-district at the border of Kisaran. If it is not jammed, we can travel aunt Viola house in less than twenty minutes from campus.

Aunt Viola is a widow with a respiratory illness. Caldier used to prevent the development of more severe symptoms of the disease. The virus that causes respiratory disease in his body will be restrained from activity but does not die. Also, he always wears a mask so that the virus that comes out of his mouth and nose does not spread everywhere. Thus people around do not have to worry about contracting.

As a widow with three children, inevitably she had to support her family by working extra hard as a worker in a company. Her three children are very small. The oldest child is still in the second grade of elementary school.

We arrived in front of a small house in a simple residential complex. My watch shows almost seven o'clock in the evening. Yuva said her greeting several times while knocking her hand on the door leaf. The door knob moves around, and the door is pulled inward. From behind the door came a woman we wanted to meet. He let in with a gloomy-looking face with hair that looked more like a spider web than a broomstick. And what was even more surprising was when we saw the Life Point number on his calendar.

“Sorry, I can't help either. I'm still stuck with that problem. You can see for yourself my Life Point, right?” aunt Viola said quickly so listen to our problems.

The remaining Life Point is 25 days. More worrying and far from what I imagined. It is natural that he looks so cranky with his hair ruffled and eye bags hanging black. In the corners of his house also scattered cans of liquor very much.

“You guys were lucky enough today to meet me. I usually go to work early in the morning and come home late at night. All because of my busy work to support my children, also use the remaining free time to collect Life Point,” he continued with a soft-sounding tone. “And I've had a few days to leave my children to relatives because I barely have time to take care of them. Wicked, right? What kind of parents am I?”

Me and Yuva were washed away in a bitterly slicing situation. Our lips were like they were tightly sewn together so that they could not let go of words. Aunt Viola must have had a hard time dividing her time between working to support her family and helping people who needed help to prolong her life. As an ordinary worker, surely if he works without taking overtime, his needs will not be met.

“I really understand Auntie's feelings,” said Yuva trying to cheer up. “But don't give up, Auntie. I haven't given up either.”

Aunt Viola only commented on the smile of hearing Yuva's words. “I don't think you really understand the problem we're having, Yuva. You still haven't seen the real figure of those people.”

“Means?” asked Yuva directly.

Aunt Viola did not answer. It was as if he left it as a mystery that we needed to solve ourselves. “I feel like I want to move to a place whose people do not yet understand about the system of work kaldier. But that's impossible. This tool has been circulating around the world,” continued Aunt Viola.

“Ah, can't I live a normal life like most people?” aunt Viola cut my sentence. The question is similar to dirty air inhaled into the nose and then make blood flow to the brain becomes not smooth. My head's dizzy. “It's like God has left me. God doesn't want me to live in this world anymore. No matter how hard I try to survive, he doesn't care about me.”

“No aunt Viola. Aunty can't talk like that,” I said quickly.

“Quickly or later you will definitely experience it yourself, kok,” continued the woman around the last thirty as if not to menggubris our words from earlier. “Sorry that I'm not polite, while I'm not busy today, I want to visit my children at the relatives' house tonight. Can you go home today?”

We came out of Aunt Viola's house carrying a dark question mark on the head. Yuva took a deep breath and exhaled loudly when she was outside the three-bred aunt's house.

“Tante Viola as already resigned to his condition. I don't seem to see any more of the light of his life,” Yuva comments as if talking to myself. I guided my bike on Yuva's orders because he still wanted to talk while walking away.

“Maybe because no one cheered him up. I think what Aunt Viola needs right now is a husband who can support herself and her child. Until he can focus on helping others,” respond me.

“It's not that simple, Eldan,” cut Yuva. “You heard it yourself, right? It was like a severe mental attack. There must be something else that was troubling his mind besides his livelihood problem. Something more complex.”

“Is that? What is it?”

“She said, ‘you will experience it later’. Maybe the connection is there. He deliberately did not tell because he was afraid of being labeled as a desperate person. He wants us to understand it ourselves.”

A serious situation crept into Yuva's eyes, into her face, to her tone. I'm starting to realize one thing. Having never had trouble getting Life Point, the empathy I had seemed to fade away. I can't seem to understand what Yuva is feeling right now. My heart was panicking and thinking about the problem Yuva was facing, but I was still too relaxed to respond to it. Given Life Point Yuva who lived that little, I should have forced her every day to help people who were in distress.

“Then, what do you think?” Yuva raised a question and made my daydream fall apart.

“Ah, I think I will accompany you tomorrow to patrol looking for people who need help,” my proposal suddenly.

“Ha?” forehead wrinkling. “But that's not what I asked.”

“Just think about that problem later. This time we should focus on adding your Life Point.”

No matter the assignment, papers, group work, practice, exams, and all sorts of*****-chuck lectures as usual. I'm gonna leave it for a while.

This curly haired girl's forehead still lingered in her wrinkles. With the direction of the eyes that were also still linked to me. He snorted again. His voice was not as heavy as before and not longer. But it was a little different as he added a new force in his snorting of breath. It's dabbling the waist.

Then the two hands that had been at the waist moved to the top of his head. He made a movement like he was shampooing while slightly lowering his head down. With eyes closed. With a mouth that let out a slow humming sound. Then released both hands as well as his hum while throwing a gaze at me.

“Well. Where will we hunt tonight? We rarely do it at night, right?”

Iwanted a smile. Then one of my hands I patted on the back seat of my bike. Yuva understood and immediately got on the motorcycle after the motorcycle ignited. We both started combing the night. Heading to a place that just came to mind.
