Still on the same day. I've arrived at the police headquarters with the three policemen. This police headquarters is located right on the side of the road crossing Sumatra – on the edge of the city of Kisaran. It does not take long to get to this place from the hospital because the distance is also not so far away.
With both hands still in handcuffs, I was taken to a room for questioning. A policewoman on duty at the computer questioned me. His hands started playing on the computer keyboard as soon as I answered his question. Some of my questions were answered honestly, but others were questions of accusation, and I refused to admit it.
The interrogation stage was over and two policemen drove me elsewhere. Before I actually got out of this place, I saw a quiet cop who was smoking in the car standing by the door. I just realized he was watching me. He still seems lazy like that. From the look in his eyes it was as if he felt sorry for me.
“You shouldn't play around with the law, son,” he said slowly as I passed by.
The sentence was instantly digested by my ears raw. My lips were eager to rebuke and deny his words just now. Damn, the two policemen also did not give me the opportunity to reply to the police officer who looks lazy. I was led quickly outside the room to another room.
The person I've been worrying about meeting all this time without having to be searched. My eyeball caught Arfi's figure. Arfi was in a concrete room whose front and door were made of iron bars. The police on duty inside opened the lock. My handcuffs were removed, and I was pushed roughly into the same room where Arfi was being held.
“Do they also behave rudely when the criminal is an old man?” I said after the cop got away from these bars.
“Hahahaha,” heard a mocking impressed laughter. “Why are you here too? You rob too?” jeered Arfi who was sitting leaning against the wall.
“This is all because of you!” I snapped with a sour face. I really want to beat him up. Arfi's index finger pointed towards his own face with a confused look.
“Why did you rob like that-,” my words came to a halt as Arfi stuck her index finger to her lips.
“Calm down first, Eldan. I'll tell you later. Now I wonder what brings you to this place?”
I also took a position to sit next to him while leaning against the wall. I see three other people in here who look older than me. But I don't really care. I explained to Arfi what happened.
Arfi doesn't look sorry. He was trying to hold back his laughter. If I wasn't talented in terms of holding back emotions, he would have been battered I'd have beaten up earlier. What amazes me is, he's so relaxed in here. It was as if there would be something that could take him right out of this place.
“Why can you relax like that?” my cynical look rained down on her face that still looked cheerful. It is clear that we are in a place that does not make our movement free.
“In the meantime, time,” reply. “Later you will also know for yourself,” replied pretentiously. Then he pulled me into a corner of the room to get a little away from the three prisoners while the others. “There's something I want to tell you.”
Arfi gave the code by playing her eyes at me. I-i understand. Then I looked at the three others who were there. With a smile I said, “You know this necklace, right?”
They nodded almost simultaneously.
“I have HIV in my body. Right now I want to talk to my friend about something secret. If you eavesdrop a little, I do not hesitate to share my blood with you,” threatened me politely. The three of them shuddered in horror. Then, move them to the opposite corner.
After saying such bullying words, my heart wanted to cry. I could have done a threatening thing I never did before. It's all because of Arfi. He must pay with the right information.
“You know why I joined the Yuva gang?” he said he started the conversation in a quiet whisper.
“That's what I wanted to know,” replied I whispered.
Arfi began to tell stories. He said he met Yuva while passing by in a shopping mall. Arfi greeted him immediately. While pretending not to know, Arfi asked about my relationship with Yuva. With a flat face, Yuva invited him outside from that place and looked for a quieter place.
“Know, what does it have to do with him?”
“The grandfather died two weeks ago.”
“Which is possible,” denies me. “If you don't remember the wrong life point is still a lot. It might last another five years. He also always kept his diet. After all, if any of the caldier users died, we would all be told.”
“Just because of that,” says Arfi fast.
“You mean?”
“I heard directly from Yuva. Grandpa's death was kept a secret.” Then I let Arfi tell him in detail without me asking again.
He said that Grandpa Pedi was very old. His body grew weaker and could do almost nothing. He just kept lying on the bed. All needs from feeding food to urination and large must be taken care of. Life Point is classified as still a lot because once Grandpa Pedi was very active in finding life points. But because of that, his family felt troubled. Grandpa Pedi now can't do anything while the rest of his life is still long. Though other diseases have also sprung up and it does not reduce many life points that exist on him.
“For that, his family secretly took off Grandpa Pedi's caldier so that he died soon and they did not bother to take care of him anymore. Brutal, right?” arfi said ending his sentence.
While grunting, I leaned my yams against the wall and looked up. I just let it in without having to do it again. “Then, how did Yuva know? Could have lied.”
“Yuva often hacks Kaldier Center archives to dig information about kaldier. And coincidentally, he found a forbidden archive on the case of Grandpa Pedi.”
Kuresapi was once again the words that Arfi had just spoken. I imagine that the elderly Grandpa Pedi could do nothing and could only sit in a wheelchair, or lie helplessly on the bed while waiting for time. Picked up by death.
“I think,” I said slowly. “Maybe it's better that way. By immediately ending his life, Grandpa Pedi does not need to feel suffering again waiting for death.”
“What do you mean, Eldan?!” snapped Arfi instantly. I thought he would be angry like that. “You don't have a heart? Talk like that!”
“I only think of more efficient.”
“You're better or not but I don't like your words just now as heartless as that.”
“Do you have feelings? You yourself conspired to rob and harm people,” reply me.
“It's different! At least what I'm wearing isn't a person who uses a caldier!”
Different next to where? To hurt people is still to hurt. Whether you use a caldier or not. I did not try to calm down Arfi who seemed to not accept my argument. What I have in mind now is not about Grandpa Pedi's death, but rather Yuva's intention to convey that to Arfi.
“How did Yuva look like when she told you that?” my question was to immediately ignore the small swearings that Arfi still hurled at me.
“What do you mean?”
“I mean does he look moody, sad, or angry when he reveals it,” I explained again.
Arfi silence. Clenched his forehead to remember. Then he looked back at me. “As I explained earlier. Yuva shows no facial expression.”
