CORONAS

CORONAS
18. KRISTA AND DAWN

Wednesday, April 25, 2046 noon at 13:30. Bang Auron, Brother Alma, and I went to the medical research center. Caldier making and research of all diseases from mild to severe are done here. Including new diseases that appear suddenly due to mutations. This building is huge. Right next to it is the largest hospital in the city.

There is a medicinal aroma along with other chemicals that irritate the nose. Some medicine? There are still drugs in this Dier wave era? Of course there is. These are medicines for a mild disease. Which can still be cured by taking drugs. Like fever for example. There are also some medical equipment that is still neatly arranged such as stethoscopes, cardiographs, breathing aids, caldiers, and others in a glass-walled room. The three of us waited in the waiting room to be able to speak directly to the head of this medical company. According to the receptionist, we were lucky to see him. Usually we need a deal first because he is very busy.

Not gradually so long – about twenty minutes – we were called to immediately enter his room. Father with a slightly filled posture with a medium height allows sitting. For a moment we introduced ourselves and continued by expressing the problems we faced. Of course, regarding Yuva and the series of criminal acts caused by him we did not mention first. The father did not respond immediately. With a serious look, he walked towards the large glass window looking out.

“Regarding the problem we have also discussed before,” said the father named Fredi while turning his body towards us. “We have warned when problems like this will come, but this is still in our discussion,” he explained.

The look on his lethargic face was like trying to convince the eyes and mind. That he and all the paramedics have tried to overcome this problem.

“So, no way out yet?” many quick. “Is there no easy way to give a free life point to a critical caldier user the rest of his life?”

Mr. Fredi glanced at me for a moment before answering a question. His cheek muscles pull his lips to a corner until they look more horizontal. “Life cannot be obtained by free means. You have to fight alone to keep it. We are not God who can prolong the life of man. We can only provide assistance in the form of tools, then you are the ones who are trying to get it yourself.”

How cruel he was and his reasonable explanation. With logical and easy to understand language, and with polite speech. Mr. Fredi gave me an explanation that I can't ignore anymore.

“The father doesn't hide anything, right?” bang Auron suddenly asked an unexpected question. Now my eyeballs and eyeballs Kak Alma are fighting to say a word of wonder. Bang Auron brave presumptuous. The trembling is me.

“You mean?” reply Mr. Fredi calm.

Bang Auron did not answer immediately. His eyes were still reluctant to turn from Mr. Fredi who returned his gaze. Kak Alma's hand made a noise at Bang Auron's body while whispering a few words to stop Bang Auron's intentions.

“Ah, no. Maybe it's just my hunch that you're hiding something. Sorry, Mister. I don't mean to be rude,” said Bang Auron.

Mr. Fredi doesn't seem to touch him too much. He just nodded. With his explanation just now, we ended this short meeting and immediately left the building that was filled with medicinal fragrance at every corner.

“Eldan.” A female voice greeted me from behind as I sat alone on a long bench lined up in the campus garden.

The sound forced me to turn my eyes back. My eyes widened to find a woman who had often been invisible in my campus. “Crystals?” kataku shocked.

“Crista!” reply to deny me the wrong name.

“Ah, sorry. Your name feels like a responsibility,” I said reasoned. Then I got up from my seat and approached him. “I heard you were hospitalized. You've ..?” My sentence stopped as my eyeball caught something familiar tied around his neck.

“Iya,” he said while developing a smile. Touching her caldier, Krista said again, “Kanker my blood is already at a dangerous stage. I can't let him go much longer. I would swap my life for this tool.”

“Cancer blood? Why haven't you told me all this time?” many quick. Krista simply replied with a smile while sticking out her tongue.

The caldier attached to his neck shows a figure of 352 days. He still had about a year to accumulate even more Life Point.

“Please help me collect Life Point, huh? I don't know much yet,” the door is soft.

I'm asserting. Without telling him about the ongoing events among the caldier users. For a moment, I seemed to have forgotten my troubles. Somehow with the presence of Krista who suddenly asked for help to me instead of making me more dizzy, quite the opposite. My spirit is back again.

“Ah, but I'm not forcing. What's-her-name? Yuva huh? If you feel burdened, don't force it. I'm also a bit bad for him,” Krista said again.

“It's okay. Yuva has been very busy lately. I'll explain it to him later.”

Krista's face flushed. I smiled thinly. Suddenly, my eyes moved behind Krista. Yuva's figure flashed not far enough from where we were standing. He glanced at me with a glance like someone who had never known me, then threw his face forward. A square-shaped bag was lined up on his left shoulder. My mind began to feel the contents of the bag he was carrying. Maybe it's his new hacking device. Yuva will hack again.

“What's up?” krista's voice pulled back my gaze towards her.

“Ah, no-.”

As if in disbelief, Krista immediately turned her body to see the thing I saw. “That's Yuva, right? Why don't you say hello?” ask her again while looking back at me.

“Ah, that ... there ...,” I replied with stammering. I don't know how to explain it myself either. Krista and I have never been close before. To discuss something personal does not seem to be able to.

“It's okay. No need to answer. I understand,” he said again with a smile and tongue sticking out a little. I can only nod. Krista glanced at the shiny silver mini watch on her left arm. It was time for the two of us to go to the next class. “Come!” bring him.

The class was silent when Krista and I entered. Inside were many classmates sitting on their benches. One thing that kept them quiet was Krista's presence looking different. Some of them showed panicked faces, some looked disgusted and frowned.

“Crystals have blood cancer. Not a contagious disease like me. Don't worry,” I said quickly to melt the atmosphere.

Those tense faces then loosened. Krista immediately turned her head towards me with her face looking worried for me. I looked back at her with words that explained that I was fine. Then I immediately stepped towards my seat. While Krista mingles with other friends.

As a caldier user in this class, I was the only one who was ostracized. They are still afraid of people who carry around dangerous disease viruses with bodies that are like healthy people. Fear of pain is natural. No one needs to be blamed in this world. Then the back seat and separated from the other friends\-friends is the most fitting place for me.

“Bau! I told you your moody face stinks once!” knock one of my friends over and close the chair next to me.

“In my face there is no garbage package food two days ago!” I said that joke while I grinned.

“There is none. But the word ‘toilet has not been watered’ tuh written clearly on your face,” ledeknya again.

“Damn it!” My hand tried to pat her on the head but all I managed to grab was air.

She was Dawn, the only classmate who never looked at my status and even considered me equal. He's my only good friend here. His posture is almost the same as that of a medium-postured me. The difference is, his hair alone is very curled but he is very skilled at making it look fashionable. She also loves cosplay. His real name is Dawn. But he prefers – or it could be said he claims himself as Dawn and forces us all to call him that. He just translated his name into English.

Then the sound of heavy steps that enter through the classroom door attracts the attention of each pair of eyeballs. The move went straight to the table facing us. My joke on Dawn had to stop. The class went on as usual.
