Finally we arrived at an inn that we had booked earlier via online. The place is not very big, but comfortable. The atmosphere of the countryside also looks beautiful with the characteristic air at the foot of Mount Slamet cold and fog. We rented a two-bedroom house that we were going to live in. There are also two people who will serve all our needs during our stay at the place.
"Monggo, Mas, Ma'am. Please come in."a Fathers with an estimated age of fifty years have welcomed the arrival of five of us. Behind him looks a mother with an estimated age not much different from the fathers earlier.
"Oh yes, sir. Thank you." Lukman replied while carrying the backpack he was carrying and helping us women carry our luggage.
"This is a room for you men."appointed the father while giving a room key to Lukman. While we women are still trailing behind him.
"Well, this is a room for a woman" said the half-century man, handing me the keys to the room.
"Oh yes. Thank you very much, sir?"my words stopped because I did not know the names of the two of them.
"I'm Kromo, and this is Ms. Sumi." replied Mr. Kromo kindly as he pointed at Ms. Sumi who stood up and then bowed as a sign of introduction.
"I'm Jenna, sir. And this is my friend's dance. There were three of them Robby, Lukman and another one that was the puffer Tomy." I introduced myself and was greeted with a nod of the head from Mr. Kromo and Ms. Sumi.
"Then you guys clean up straight there for dinner. Ms. Sumi has prepared everything."ask Mr. Kromo whom we reply with a polite nod of head and a smile.
"Aaaahhhh .. I'm so tired." I said to Dance who was getting ready to take a shower.
"Go take a shower, Jen. Let it be good to sleep." said Tari who I answered with a nod of the head.
I tried to close my eyes while waiting for my turn to take a shower after Dance. Fortunately, our bathroom was available. Either all the rooms are available, or maybe because we are women so the bathroom is special in the room only.
Sayup-sayup I heard a gamelan on the table. His voice calms and makes the eyes heavier to open. Slowly I heard the voice of the woman singing. Maybe sinden is singing accompanied by gamelan music. As for Dance, not the least I heard the sound of water gurgling from the bathroom. Suddenly my eyes opened to find the strangeness that was happening. I got out of bed and approached the bathroom.
Tok .. tok .. tok .. I tried to knock on the bathroom door to find out what Dance was doing inside. Silence, there's no answer from inside.
"Tar, Dance."Call me wiry.
But Tari did not answer my call. The sound of gamelan is no longer heard.
Tok .. tok .. tok .. I turned my head when I heard the door of my room on tap from outside. I walked slowly towards the door and intended to open it.
"Si ... who?"tanyaku.
"I, Ma. Ms. Sumi." she replied from outside. I slowly opened the door and found that Ms. Sumi was already standing in front of the door.
"What's up, Mom?"my many.
"This, Ma'am. The bag was missing." he replied, handing over a small bag that I knew belonged to Tari.
"Oh yes, thank you very much, ma'am." I said as I received a small brown bag and closed the door again to see the state of Dance in the bathroom.
"Why, Jen?"tanya Tari who was suddenly behind me. Suddenly I was surprised to see that Dance was suddenly right behind me.
"I .. this. Your bag's missing." I said to Dance. Dance received her small bag, there was a slight look of confused face implied there.
"Then anyway? That feeling I brought in. I put it there instead." said Tari while rubbing her wet hair with a towel. His index finger pointed towards a wooden chair neatly arranged at the end near the window. He walked towards the wooden bench.
"You forgot the times. Yes the time you have brought in while still left out so. Sumi ma'am who sent me anyway."I replied to dismiss the strangeness that Dance experienced.
"It could be." replied Tari while shrugging both shoulders and putting her little bag back on the bed.
"Yes already. Change me to shower first. Wait a minute, don't be left anywhere." I said to Tari who he answered with a thumbs up.
I picked up a change of clothes and also the toiletries I had brought from home. I saw it in the bathroom. There is only a bathtub, dipper and also an outhouse. I remember that time when Dance took a shower. If there is no shower here and there is only a dipper, it should have sounded quite loud when Dari flushed his body with this dipper. But the feeling was not heard there was a splash of water from inside the bathroom. In fact, there is a gamelan music sound that is actually heard coming from a place far enough away.
"Ah come." I brushed off all fear and suspicion. I'm back in focus for the current shower plan. I took off all the clothes I was wearing during the trip. I slowly flushed my body. The water temperature here is very cold. It feels comfortable when it touches the skin. While rubbing the body with soap, back faintly heard the sound of gamelan music in the tabuh. This time his voice was clear and close. I close my ears to the bathroom door. I heard dancing humming out there. Naturally, Dance likes to sing. Unnatural, dance singing Javanese songs with the accompaniment of the gamelan. I peeked through the keyhole. Dari was sitting on the edge of the bed combing her long hair facing the window against the bathroom. I creeped on him. Soon I speed up my bathing ritual and want to get out there to see what Dance really does.
For a moment I stopped the water on my head and opened my eyes. I just remembered, since when did Dance hair become waist-long. As far as I know Taru never extended his hair to the waist. Even when we left, Dance's hair was still on her shoulders. I hurriedly dried my body with a towel and put on the clothes I had prepared earlier. Slowly I opened the door and saw that Dance was lying on the bed and playing her game.
"His bath?"tanya Tari while glancing at me. I'm nodding. Sure enough, Dance's hair is just a shoulder. Then who was the long-haired woman who sat on the edge of the bed while combing her hair. I became more and more curious about everything that seemed unnatural in my eyes.
"Tar, did someone come in here?"I slowly combed my hair.
"Nothing. Why?"reply Dance with eyes can not be separated from her mobile phone.
"I don't sing. From earlier I was lying bales chat my mama." replied Dancing confused and began to sit leaning on the edge of the bed.
"Maybe I was wrong, Tar. It could be the next-door neighbor or someone else who happened to pass by" I replied. Dance nodded.
"Eh, Jen. My mom says we don't have to continue our plan to climb." Taru said suddenly.
"Why is that?"manya curious.
"Mama said, he had a bad feeling if we climb there" replied Tari.
Deg .. is right. I also had a bad feeling for our trip this time. It's just that I'm trying to shake off all the feelings that I don't think make sense.
"Jen, are you okay ?"tanya Dance touched my hand. I'm shaking.
"Do you agree with my mother's words too?"tanya Dance suddenly.
"Did?"I didn't answer. I don't know what to answer to Taru's question this time.
"So you said that you felt bad when we were on the way" said Tari. I just nodded.
"How should we go?"tanyaku pepper Dance.
"Well, how else. We've already got here. Time yes we cancel." said Tari pout.
"Yes already. We just continue our plan. It's just that we have to be vigilant and keep our ethics during the climb. Do not let because we neglect to continue we can all be wretched." said I who followed with a nod of the head of Dance.
"Let's talk about it all the same as the others."I.
We went out to the diner after Robby knocked on our door to take us to dinner. To be honest, my stomach was also very hungry because we just had breakfast and did not rest for lunch.
We also eat even with a joke. For a moment I forgot about the strange incident I had been through. Likewise with Tari, it seems he has begun to forget the message from his mother to come back and do not have to continue the journey. While we were eating, I caught a glimpse of a young, long-haired woman walking through the living room door that was still open. I saw the woman also looking towards us who were eating together.
"It seems like I've seen it before." I muttered in my heart. I intend to ask Mr. Kromo and Ms. Sumi later.
"Sir." I said hello to Mr. Kromo who was sitting on the terrace while accompanied by a cup of black coffee and a cigarette tucked in his fingers.
"What's up, Ma'am?"asked Mr. Kromo hurriedly put out the cigarette and threw his cigarette butt forward.
"You know that long-haired woman who passed in front of here?"I asked while sitting on the bench next to Mr. Kromo.
"Who is it, Ma'am? How could I not even see anyone passing by." replied Mr. Kromo.
"Maybe it's fitting that you haven't sat here" I said later.
"I've been here since then, Mom. From before you have dinner." replied Mr. Kromo as he sipped his black coffee. This time I was confused. Mr. Kromo did not see a single person passing in front of our inn. He has been sitting here for a long time.
"They're about my age, sir. Her skin was clean, her hair was waist-length. Well-favoured. And he walked in that direction."I said back to explain to Mr. Kromo. I hope Mr. Kromo knows him. It's nothing, I'm just afraid that what I saw wasn't human. It looks like Mr. Kromo is frowning like confusion.
"This is a woman with long waist hair that does not exist, Ma'am. Her hair is short on average. Want to follow the style of the city children he said, and minimalist so." replied Mr. Kromo.
"Don't you see it's not human anymore" said Mr. Kromo suddenly made my heart beat fast.
"Ah father don't be so dong. I'll be scared." I said a little annoyed.
"But it is like that mostly" replied Mr. Kromo.
"I mean, father?"manya curious.
"Yes that was. Sister Jenna saw a long-haired woman through here while I was clearly sitting here from earlier not seeing anyone through here." replied Mr. Kromo made me more frightened.
"Mr Mah, make me even more afraid. If you'll excuse me for coming in, sir."I replied a little annoyed and preferred to enter the room.
"It's okay, Ma'am. As long as we don't mess around, everything will be fine. They are just getting acquainted." said Mr. Kromo chuckled. Maybe for him all this is normal, for me who have often climbed mountains also sometimes find unnatural things like this. It's just that, since the beginning of our departure here, my feelings have been bad. Hopefully this incident does not exist as a sign of bad things happening to our group.
I saw that Tari had fallen asleep with a thick blanket covering her body to her shoulders. The weather here is cold. I soon followed Tari to sleep. Still heard the voices of the men in the next room talking and occasionally heard their laughter in unison. I don't care about them. Immediately I took the blanket and lay down right next to the already slumbering Dance.
