Climbing Mount Slamet

Climbing Mount Slamet
Departure

Tonight I and Tari were busy with the preparation of the equipment that we will bring for the plan to climb to a mountain in Central Java. A backpack big enough to fill with various purposes that will help us sustain the needs of life for a few days up there. And so is Dance. There's not much we brought. Just the basic needs for a few days and also a few pieces of clothing for us to change. We will go five. All the needs for tents, cooking utensils and others we can divide the five so as not to be too heavy when carrying them.

"What time do we walk?"ask me on Dance.

"So the hell Robby said we're on our way at dawn. Let there not be kemaleman."ansi Tari who is still busy putting one by one items to be brought.

Our house is close. Dari chose to bring the items he would bring home and intend to stay at my house so that tomorrow morning can immediately leave together without agreement.

"Is there anything that hasn't been brought?"yelled Lukman before closing the trunk of the car after putting in some of our backpacks and luggage.

"Everything is done" I answered while wailing here and there to see if there were any items left behind.

"Okay, let's go now" Robby told the others.

We rushed into the car and prepared to travel quite a distance. Robby's driving for the first time. They will be replaced by Tomi and Lukman if necessary.

"Eh, have you been to breakfast yet?"ask me to the others.

"Yet. It is still early in the morning when we have breakfast. Later we stop by at the rest area." replied Lukman.

"I already, hehehehe .. " replied Tomi with a cry.

"Yeee .. no wonder you are mah, mbul."we replied boisterously. Tomi is the most beautiful among us. So it's only natural that he eats more and can not resist hunger. Tomi just grinned at hearing our taunts.

During the trip we were not silent. Lukman prefers to play guitar, Dance as his singer. I prefer to be quiet while reading various short stories and stars in a writing application. Tomi prefers to sleep. While Robby is more focused on driving while occasionally chiming in on songs sung by Tari.

As much as possible we make the atmosphere of this trip fun. In addition to taking a long time, the trip this time in fear will be boring as well because it has been a long time we vacuum from the world of climbing. Understandably, now we are busy with our respective work.

Robby's slowing down the car. Slowly we entered a restaurant to fill our stomachs that had begun to rebel. I have the clock on my wrist. Nine o'clock in the morning. I rushed down with a small bag containing a wallet and a cell phone. Followed by the others behind me and still seen Lukman trying to wake Tomi who is still engrossed in his dream world.

"Wwwoooiii, want to wake up no one. From earlier in the wake is very difficult."look Lukman has begun to annoy. His stomach was struggling here, but this time he was busy waking up the bully Tomy who was asleep. I approached and whispered something into Tomy's ear. Soon, Tomy opened her eyes and her eyes looked back and forth looking for something.

"Fucking what? ask Lukman irritatedly.

"Where? where's food?"tomy asked suddenly half-conscious. Even his eyes are narrowed because depressed by his chuby cheeks are still difficult to be invited to be literate. But if you have heard the word food as if immediately aware of the stings.

Instantly heard laughter from the others saw the silly behavior of Tomy with eyes that still look red looking for food. Robby smacks Tomy's chuby cheek to wake up and gets out of the car.

"Aware of the woy, if you want to eat please come down." Robby asked.

Tomy also walked a little staggering because his life had not been collected completely. His funny behavior caused laughter among us.

"Nasi use rendang yes, sir."message Lukman to one of the employees at the typical Minang restaurant.

One by one we mentioned each order. We also chose a seat at the end to make it more pleasant to chat to discuss the next plan upon our arrival at the climb. It was thought we would be there at night. At least we will find lodging first and wait for the day a bit later to climb. So that at night we can stay above and the morning can see the sunrise. It is clearly illustrated in the beautiful eye of the sunrise seen from a height. We miss moments like that. For almost five years the four of us have never touched our climbing tools because of the busyness of each. As for Lukman, he has not been with us for long. I knew him when we went to the same school and department.

We have rested long enough. We also continued our journey so that it quickly arrived and not overnight.

"I'm so sleepy." Tomy made us all turn our eyes toward him.

"Ah a habit, Tom. If you are full, your eyes will continue to crumble. Replace Robby, pity him continue the drive." said Tari with a little higher tone of voice.

"Don't be ah. We still want to live, right? Can berabe if until Tomy who brought the car, especially while rejuvenating."reject Lukman in follow the nod of the head of the other. Tomy who is being talked about is just grinning while scratching his head either real itching or just pretending.

We didn't talk much during the trip this time. We are all focused on our own activities. Someone tried to take a picture of the scene through the camera we brought. There are also those who choose to play the phone to eliminate saturation.

"All of us, why are we silent?"I break the silence. There are only mellow songs tuned by Robby to reduce loneliness.

"Want to talk about what I am, Jen." replied Tari.

It's not like we're usually quiet with each other like this. Usually even though we often meet and together there are always interesting things for us to discuss. I don't know why this time was different. Something was different with us this time. Others also just look and return to their respective activities. I took a long breath.

"My feelings are not good." I suddenly said and made them look back at me.

I shrugged both shoulders. I don't know why I suddenly said that. It was just that those words crossed my mind and an uncomfortable feeling flashed through my heart and mind. So distracting.

"What do you think, Jen?" ask Robby suddenly. He who was only focused on driving this time also spoke.

"I don't know. It's just .. "I don't continue my words. I chose to close my eyes.

The others also fell silent. Maybe they thought about what I said. I don't even care about my words that don't make sense. I don't know, I don't know either. I opened my eyes again, and I tried to look at them one by one. There was a feeling of sadness that suddenly appeared within the heart as it looked towards them. I don't know why pain comes from the heart.

I am trying to make peace with my heart and mind. I pat all the discomfort and sadness that suddenly appeared to reduce worry. I hope everything will be okay.

Cciiitttt ...

I woke up when the car we were driving suddenly stopped.

"Eh, Rob. You drive while you sleep?"suddenly Tomy makes a sound and hits Robby's body slowly and is confused.

"There's a cat." Robby answered briefly while shaking his head. He chose to pull over the car and went out to find the cat that had run right in front of the car we were driving.

So do I and the others. In addition to us out to help Robby find a cat that seemed hard to hit, this is also a chance for us to stretch the muscles of the body stiff because it was too long sitting.

"Udah ran away, Rob." said Lukman who did not manage to find the carcass of the cat that Robby had told me about. Robby shook his head, then shrugged both shoulders.

"But I was sure the cat was right in front of the car" Robby said.

"Yes, now change only me who brought the car. You take a break." Lukman said to Robby. Robby agreed. We got back in the car. Robby and Lukman switch positions.

"Now you take a break, it's half the journey." I told Robby. I saw him close his eyes too.

Honestly, ever since the cat that almost got hit earlier made my feelings more and more awkward. There are various kinds of bad thoughts that will happen to all of us once there or even during the trip. But I have to shake all those feelings. I do not want just because of my prejudice and also the unfavourable thoughts that are raging in the chest will make our holiday plan this time which has been planned in advance will fail and making them choose to turn around just because my prejudice is not necessarily going to happen.

It's already dusk. The sun was starting to be invisible and the light of the lights had begun to illuminate throughout the journey. That means soon we will arrive at the place we are going. Instantly I was amazed to see the convoy of women in beautiful dresses walking hand in hand along the road. From what I see it looks like they're locals who are going to hold a dance performance around here. From the dress they use it is like a traditional dancer plus a red scarf tie on their waist. And also some groups of men carry a variety of ancient gamelan as a musical instrument to accompany the dance. I observe them all, look beautiful with traditional clothes and makeup that is quite thick.

All of a sudden, my hair stood up as I focused on looking at them for a moment they all stopped and returned my eyes with sharp eyes and as if glaring at me. I was surprised by the look in their eyes that I felt was getting creepy. Whether it is the effect of makeup, either because of the dim reflection of light from street lights that make their faces look very creepy. I chose to turn my face to the side where the Dance sitting next to me was also busy observing the outside scenery around.

"Tar, didn't you see that hang dance troupe we just passed?"ask me on Dance. He looked at her forehead and looked back.

"Where, Jen?"tanya Dari was confused.

"Must be, on the left side of this car." I answered while looking back. The group is already invisible. It may have gone too far or it could have crossed or turned.

"Udah passed by a long time, Tar." I said slowly.

The curious dance still looked back many times. The atmosphere of the streets is quite quiet. Not many vehicles pass around here. Maybe because we've entered the countryside. To divert the unpleasant feelings, I chose to lean my head and open the blue application on the phone. But still an unpleasant feeling of ambush filled the chest.

"Oh my God .. may all be well."into me while wiping the sweat that appeared.

"Jen, are you sick?"suddenly Dance spoke while holding my shoulder.

"Huh? Eng ... not really." I replied.

"But you're pale." said Tari while holding my sweaty forehead.

Eh yes you know, you are very pale." said Tomy chimed.

"I'm fine. Really." I brushed off Dance's hand and wiped the sweat that came out all over her body. Lukman and Robby turned their heads towards me.

"Are you sure you're okay, Jen?" ask Robby to make sure I'm feeling right.

"Yes, I'm fine. Continue to not stop. How much longer are we gonna be?"I asked Robby.

"As soon as we get to the inn." Lukman and Robby replied in unison. I nodded and gulped down the mineral water that Dance gave me. There was a slight feeling of relief after knowing that it would soon arrive at the inn. Can't wait to feel like breaking down a body that has been stiff because of a day of travel.
