Choice Matchmaker For Reva
123. Dev & Aldo

In that house, Dev sat alone lamenting the exhausting life.

*A DOZEN YEARS AGO*

"You sleep here with me." Little Dev invites Aldo to sleep in his room.

"But I want to go home, I want to see a picture of my mother." Aldo got up from his seat, and left Dev's house.

"All right, I'll keep you company." Dev follows Aldo on his way to his house.

"I'm really alone, dad's gone, mom's gone too. Are you also going to leave me?" Aldo asked with his clear eyes glazed over.

"No, I'll accompany you. Sleep on!" he said by taking a pillow and sleeping next to Aldo.

"Thank you for being with me." said little Aldo, he closed his eyes until morning to pick me up.

They leave school together, second grade Dev and first grade Aldo junior high school. In the morning they waited for each other, and when they came home from school they also waited for each other. By the end of the month Dev and Aldo were short of money for school and spending money, and there was no charge to go to school.

"We're going to work." Little Aldo stared intently at the hot dusty streets.

"What are we going to do?" Dev asked questioningly.

"Work anything, if you want to come along I'll wash the car down the road." Aldo looked at Dev who was much taller.

"I'm coming, but I've never done it." Dev was doubtful.

"I've never been either, but I can certainly do it" he said so confidently.

They went together, both spent the day until night picking up, their clothes and pants were wet, their hair was wet, their feet and hands were white and wrinkled. He came home tired, cold and hungry.

"Do you have food?" Dev walks into Aldo's kitchen, opens the fridge and cupboard.

"It doesn't seem to exist." Aldo answered with trembling lips.

"Then we go to my house." They walked out to Dev's house.

"Why lonely, is mom gone?" Aldo saw no one in the house.

"Yes, the mother is out of town, visiting the father's brother's house." replied Dev, his hand opened the closet. "It's got bread, but only one." Dev took out a large loaf of bread and cut it in half.

"Thank you." Aldo received a piece of bread that Dev gave him.

"It's your milk." Dev thrust a glass filled with warm milk.

"I'm so tired." Aldo finished his milk and leaned on the chair.

"We're sleeping, resting." Dev walked first to his room, followed by Aldo who slightly wiped the rest of the milk at the corner of his red lips and looked beautiful.

The days they spent together were so busy with things, it did not feel like they had grown up. Until high school, the two friends like brothers are always together, even when there are people who disturb one of them then they will both face it together.

And one afternoon.

"I'm not bothering you." Three kids pushing Dev's shoulders.

"I told you there wasn't." Dev tries to release one of their hands.

The tug-of-war continued until Dev fell, and the three kids laughed happily.

Aldo came with his flat face, his sharp eyes so piercingly staring at the three laughing people. Without warning Aldo hit one of them to fall, then after a fight between two other people hit Aldo simultaneously.

Fights cannot be avoided, they hit and kick each other until the end. Aldo managed to hit the nose of one of his biggest opponents until it bled.

"You again?" he said it sounded scary, his eyes increasingly radiating cruelty. His steady and sure steps made his three opponents run backwards and not come back again.

"You fought that cruel?" Dev stared in wonder at Aldo who was still clenching his two hands tightly.

"You don't know, I've even seen people hurt each other so much that blood splashed on my face." Aldo reached out his hand asking Dev to stand up immediately.

"But it doesn't have to be followed." Dev looked at Aldo with worry.

"If you're too weak, you'll be trampled, proof you're losing to them." Aldo pointed towards the three people who had already disappeared.

"You're being scary." Dev still stared in disbelief.

"I'm not that scary! I'm still in a reasonable stage." he said laughing, dimples that had disappeared in the cold face was again visible.

"Thank God, I just don't want to see you being sadistic and cruel" Dev said as he walked along with Aldo to the city bus, they went home together.

"You know, I'm gonna take a military test, do you want to come?" Dev saw a handsome and white face next to him.

"I'm still second grade. You go first!" he replied, turning for a moment and then getting on the bus.

"Well, after you're in third grade, I'll take you. You pray for me to graduate." Dev smiled with his hands clinging to the city bus door.

"Yes" Aldo replied with a smile.

The days passed, so long Dev underwent military tests, and finally he qualified for the education round.

"I'll go, you take good care of yourself" he told Aldo, who was standing looking at his best friend who was wearing a striped uniform.

"You take it easy, I can take care of myself" he said confidently, but the handsome face looked ruthless and defiant.

"Don't fight a lot, you'll get hurt and hurt, it'll be hard to take military tests like me." Dev reminded.

"That's not going to happen" he said smiling at his best friend's worries.

"I'm going, please take care of our mother." Dev's message to Aldo. They embrace as a farewell greeting, until Dev finally goes missing with the rest of the group.

Stay Aldo himself with the High School period which is only a little while away, at that time Aldo still often fight but his good attitude and courtesy he did not leave, to the point where he met someone who needed help, but he did not leave, the man in black was confused as he was being held by some people. The car that stopped with the door open appeared to have been entered by one of the four people. Accidentally Aldo who was walking alone saw and slightly frowned, those sharp clear eyes trying to read the situation.

Aldo approached without making a sound from behind the car and immediately hit a man who was pointing until he collapsed.

"You want to die!" a man holding a firearm.

"That's a toy gun" said Aldo smiling cynically making his opponent more emotional so that the quarrel could not be avoided.
