Invitation of In-laws

The atmosphere of the shop was not as usual. Today, the store is visited by many buyers. The reason is because special today there are promos as well as new menus in this place.

Alice has been very busy since this morning helping to deal with customers who come and go.

"This is table number 7" said an employee at Alice, who was in charge of delivering orders for the customers.

He immediately did his job. Alice carried a tray containing several plates of ice cream and there were two glasses that also contained ice cream.

"Please order. Enjoy it" said Alice kindly after putting all the orders on the table.

"Sir, I want a message" said a customer calling Alice.

The woman immediately approached the table and was already preparing with her notes to record the order. Alice and the other officers continued until noon. In fact, the store gets crowded during lunchtime. Plus the atmosphere outside is very hot.

So many are looking for cold food to relieve the heat. Alice rubbed the sweat that soaked her forehead.

"Mom, rest first. We're changing."

Alice simply nodded and went inside the special staff room to rest. He sat slipping his legs, his hands outstretched to grab a cell phone. During work, Alice keeps her phone in a locker. There is a rule during working hours is prohibited from holding a mobile phone.

"Mas Rian came home late today," Alice muttered reading a chat from Rian.

For the past few days, the man was often late to return home. However, Rian always gave word if he was going to come home late.

"Maybe it's really busy" Alice told herself.

Alice kept her phone back and decided to have lunch first before continuing to work until her shift time was over.

Today Reni is also not in the store. Remembering her in-laws, Alice recalled her gift. Indeed, eventually both Alice and Rian consume his gift, even though it seems Rian has no intention of having children.

Alice could only obey, even though she also craved for the baby to be present in their midst. After finishing her lunch, Alice returned to the front.

"Well done, Mommy?"

Alice nodded. "Now it's gone, huh? Not so many."

The woman looked at the entire store. The atmosphere was quieter, not as crowded as before. Now it only has a few customers. Alice's working hours are over.

While waiting for the clock, Alice helps clean the table that customers have left behind. The sound of a bell at the door made him turn his head and prepare to welcome customers to come.

"Eh?" surprised Alice.

It turned out that Rian had just walked into the tavern. The man smiled at the wife who looked surprised by her presence.

"Kok Mas Rian here?" alice asked, frowning.

"Will pick you up" replied Rian.

"Say you're home late today?"

"Suddenly his affairs were canceled. You're gonna be home soon, right? I'm waiting in the mom's room, okay?"

Alice nodded in response, her gaze still trailing the back of Rian who was walking away. Then, it disappeared behind the wall. He continued his work which was delayed.

As soon as she finished, Alice immediately approached Rian. Alice had also exchanged tasks with her friend. The woman knocked on the door and entered after hearing Rian's reply.

"It's over?" ask Rian.

Alice nodded her head. The man walked over to Alice.

"Mom invite us to dinner at home" said Rian.

Rian's words made Alice's forehead wrinkle. Why did his father-in-law invite them to dinner? Of course, various questions came to his mind.

Rian shrugged his shoulders. "I don't know, my mom called me all of a sudden."

They finally came out of the store. Rian's car drove towards Reni's house. However, earlier Alice bought something to be a hand.

"Bring this up is okay? You're inviting us all of a sudden, so there's no preparation" said Alice back in the car.

Rian did not come down earlier, he was waiting in the car. Alice was only briefly in the store.

"It's okay. It shouldn't be okay to buy either."

"Not good, Mom. Masa' didn't bring anything to my mother's house."

The man gave up and returned to his car. The journey feels fast because the road this afternoon is quite quiet. A few minutes later, the two arrived.

Hearing the sound of the car engine, Reni also came out of the house. He looked well dressed, as if he had just come out.

"Why did you suddenly invite us to eat at home?" rian asked as soon as he got out of the car.

"Why indeed? Can't you?" ask Reni sewot.

"It's not okay, but it's too sudden. Later if Rian can not come, Mama nagging regular kayak," replied Rian.

Alice cleared her throat to end the check-up between the mother and the child. He handed the hand he had bought to Reni.

"Dude, Alice. There's no need to bother."

Reni invited them in. Since dinner was still a long time, Alice and Rian decided to go to the room first.

"You want to take a shower, Mommy?" alice opened the closet.

"Yes," answered Rian who had laid his body on the bed.

Alice took a change of clothes for her husband. They left some clothes in the house. Reni also asked the two to stay a few times. Of course both Rian and Alice will take the time.

After both Rian and Alice took a bath and rested for a while, they went back down to meet Reni. He was busy in the kitchen with his assistant. Alice helped.

"You put the food on the table, Al," Reni said.

Alice complied and immediately took out some dishes that were already filled with cooking. While Rian, the man sat at the dining table while watching the activities of the women.

"What's cooking mom?" ask Alice Rian.

"Here," Alice replied showing the contents of the plate she was carrying.

Rian just nodded. Meanwhile, Alice returns to the kitchen to pick up the rest of the menu that has not been served at the dining table. Rian watched the dishes and the bowl.

There was a squeak on the man's forehead looking at the menu that Reni cooked for dinner today. The dining table in front of Rian is almost dominated by green vegetables, although there are also dishes from fish and oysters.

The menu is rarely cooked by Reni. Rian looked up when he heard his mother and Alice walked up to him.

"It's all, isn't it?" asked Reni smilingly watching all the food at the dining table.

"Here you go, Ma" replied Alice.

"Come, we'll eat. If the cold is not good," take Reni to the child and his daughter-in-law.

They also began to enjoy the food with occasional conversations. Until a question from Rian made Reni cleared her throat.

"Tumben Mama cook kayak gini food?" asked Rian who had been suspicious since then, while Alice stared incomprehensibly.
