Not Just a Promise

The fragrant aroma burst into Alice's sense of smell, whose eyes were still closed. The moaning and movement of Alice's hands indicate that the woman is awake from her sleep. His hand fell to the side of the bed, but a twitch on the forehead appeared. There should be someone next door. However, nil. There's no one there. Alice opened her eyes to the side.

“Where is Mas Rian?” muttered Alice.

Alice tried to remember what happened last night. Ah right, last night Rian had a fistfight with Kevin and they ended up at the police station. Alice immediately woke up and came out of the room as a fragrant smell returned from her nose. The woman found Rian standing behind her in the kitchen. Now the two sat at the dinner table with a plate of fried rice in front of them. Smoke was still billowing as the fried rice had just been lifted from the frying pan. Alice swallowed her saliva, from the looks of the fried rice it looked very tempting. Moreover, the aroma that was leaving made his stomach scream for him to immediately eat the fried rice.

“Taken, Al. I don't know how the fried rice tastes, but hopefully it matches your tongue,” said Rian, the man put a glass of water near Alice's plate.

Alice began to scoop the rice, putting it in her mouth. His tongue was feeling the taste of Rian's fried rice. This is the first time Alice has tasted Rian's cooking. It was also only this time that the man was cooking dishes other than instant noodles. Alice began to slowly chew the rice in her mouth. While Rian looked at the wife with a look of anxious expectation. Rian's fried rice seasoning does feel right on Alice's tongue, only one taste is too dominant.

Rian exhaled a sigh of relief, at least the cooking was still edible. Then the man also immediately tasted the results of his work.

Alice nodded and went back to enjoying the fried rice. True what Rian said, last night he had not eaten and this morning his stomach was very hungry.

“Oh yes, why suddenly Alice can sleep in the room? Didn't Alice fall asleep last night in the car?” ask Alice.

“I carried you, Al. There's no way I'm letting you sleep in the car all night, ” replied Rian.

“Mas Rian carried Alice from the basement?” Alice rounded her eyes, “Nobody saw, right?” ask Alice to worry.

“Let's relax, last night was very quiet,” replied Rian.

Alice breathed a sigh of relief. It was not a matter of weight or not that her body was worried about Alice, because she was sure that her body was as light as a feather. Alice stopped her activity that was about to bribe the rice into her mouth. He put the spoon back on the plate. Now the woman also looked at the man in front of her. A breath came out of Alice's mouth.

“Mas, we've only been married for two days. How many times did Mas Rian apologize to Alice?”

“Stop apologizing, Mas. Alice has forgiven. Alice believes in Mas Rian and believes that Mas Rian will not disappoint Alice. It was hard to believe it before. But now Alice has made her decision. Alice finished her breakfast. The fried rice on the plate is no rest and now his stomach is full. Alice gulped down the water in her glass. All of Alice's behavior was not missed from Rian's sharp eyes.

Rian immediately picked up the phone that was on top of the refrigerator. His forehead frowned to see who was calling him. The man immediately answered his call.

“Halo? What's up?” ask Rian.

While from the dining table Alice noticed the motion snag husband. I wonder who called so early. Alice hears Rian speaking a medical language she does not understand.

“OK, I'm going there now. Just ready for the operation room, I'll be up to half an hour.”

Their conversation was over, Rian turned to Alice who turned out to be watching him. The man walked over to his wife.

“Today there is an emergency operation. I was going to take you for a walk.”

“Nothing, Mas. Yes, get ready first.”

Rian nodded and immediately prepared to head for the hospital with Alice's help. He was really lucky to have a woman like Alice who could understand. After the preparations were finished, Rian immediately resigned to leave.

“Be careful on the road,” said Alice telling Rian.

Rian nodded and left a kiss on Alice's lips before actually leaving from there. After exiting his apartment unit, Rian's face turned sour.
