Don't Be Too Efficient

Before returning to the apartment, Alice decided to shop for daily necessities that began to run out. The woman went to the supermarket and went around alone. However, Alice had already asked Rian for permission first. Alice did not want if later Rian would be confused to look for him when the man had already gone home.

“I think I've recorded what the goods are. Where, yes?” murmured Alice, her eyes busy on the screen of her phone.

The atmosphere of the supermarket today is not too crowded by visitors, it even looks very quiet. After finding the note, Alice continued her steps. Searching for all the things he needs.

While pushing the loaded trolley, Alice was still walking in search of items she had yet to find. Suddenly, his phone rang. The woman paused her steps for a moment to answer the call. Alice saw who was calling her, after seeing the name on her phone screen, she immediately answered the call.

“Halo?” greet Alice, her eyes were still busy watching the neatly arranged rows of items on the shelves.

“You're still in the supermarket?” ask the voice from across there which is none other than Rian.

“Still, Mas. There are still a lot of things that have not been bought. Rian wants to go home?”

“Yes, it's again on the road. That's why I picked you up, huh? Let me help you with the groceries later.”

“Bby. Alice wait in the soap section then. Be careful on the road.”

Their conversation ended and Alice resumed her activities. Looking for the brand of detergent he used to wear. His eyes were still observant looking at the various brands of detergent.

Alice's eyes unintentionally looked at the top shelf. Detergent's in his car right there. However, Alice's hand was unable to reach that detergent. He looked to the right and left hoping that someone could be asked for help. However, nil. There's no one in this hallway.

“Waitu Mas Rian until aja deh,” murmured Alice, but his hands are still trying to reach the detergent.

Suddenly from behind there was someone who managed to reach the detergent that Alice was after. Alice silently stood in her place. The woman thought that the person currently standing behind her was Rian. Apparently not. After successfully taking the detergent, the person took a few steps back and thrust the detergent packet at Alice.

“Thank you,” said Alice.

Alice scrunched her forehead looking at the appearance of this person in front of her. He was a man in black clothes. Wearing a black hat and mask, it seems very mysterious. Without answering, the man sauntered away from Alice. Meanwhile, Alice was still watching the man's back.

“Any,” murmured Alice.

“Sorry, you waited a long time, yes?”

“Jeez, Mas Rian. Make a surprise,” said Alice with a surprised expression.

“You again see what?” asked Rian who was curious about Alice's direction.

“Nothing, Mas. Let's continue shopping again.”

“There are still many that have not been bought?” ask Rian.

Alice shows the note on her phone to Rian. There are still a few more things that have not been purchased. They continued their footsteps into the next hallway.

For about an hour they circled the supermarket and are currently waiting in line at the cashier. When it was their turn to buy, Alice and Rian dropped the groceries from the trolley to the cashier's desk. Alice looked doubtful with all her groceries, it seemed like this was too much. He went back to checking his phone screen, looking back at his notes.

“Mas, this is like most deh,” whispered Alice.

“Iya.”

“So not less? Make a month youo.”

“Ngak, Mom. Even Alice feels this is too much, it will be more than a month.”

“Hmm, so? Don't be so frugal, Al. Just buy everything you need and want, no need to see the price.”

Hearing what Rian said made Alice confused about what to do, whether she should feel happy or vice versa? To be honest, Alice is still not used to using other people's money for her needs.

Since her parents died, Alice slammed her bones to support herself. In order to survive, Alice is willing to do various jobs. He was not used to just taking the gifts of others for granted. So after getting married, Alice still got used to using the money given by Rian. Alice had only used her salary all along.

“Save only money from the results you worked during this time. Now there is I who will bear all your lives, there is I who will provide, and take responsibility for everything that happens. There's me next to you, Al. So, you don't have to worry about anything anymore,” said Rian at the time.

Hearing Rian's words at that time made Alice again very grateful to have the man beside her. However, Alice still did not want to rely too much on Rian. She also needs to be an independent wife.

So Alice decided to keep working at her in-laws' ice cream shop. Indeed, her in-laws had already banned her, even Rian did not agree. However, Alice managed to give understanding so that the two now understand.

Finished shopping, Rian and Alice decided to go home. Alice wants to cook her own dinner at home. The distance from the supermarket to the apartment is not too far away. It only takes about twenty minutes.

However, unfortunately they are stuck in traffic because it is the same as the current office hours. The roads are very crowded with vehicles, even so at least they can still move forward not standing still in place. Finally they reached the apartment after being stuck in traffic for several hours on the road.

“You're not tired, Al? Want to cook yourself?” ask Rian. They are currently in the elevator.

“Ngak, Mom. Not tired at all, Alice cooking is simple. Rian doesn't mind, does he? Or anyone want Mas Rian to eat?”

“Neither, whatever you cook I eat,” replied Rian with a warm smile.

Hearing that made Alice's cheeks blush. Of course it did not escape from Rian's observation, too bad his hand carried groceries. If only his hands were empty, Alice was exhausted by Rian who was very anxious with the behavior of his wife.

Arriving at the apartment unit, Alice immediately prepared the ingredients she wanted to cook. As for Rian, the man took a shower first. Alice looks very happy at the moment. New things for her to cook for her husband.

Previously, Alice had also cooked for Rian, but still now it tastes different. While waiting for cooking, Alice arranged some groceries. Rian hasn't finished his shower yet. That man was a long time in the bathroom.

It took almost two hours for Alice's cooking to mature. He immediately arranged it on the dining table, along with Rian who had just finished taking a bath. The smell of soap filled Alice's sense of smell.

“You eat now?” ask Alice.

“Bby. I'm also very hungry.”

Alice immediately picked up the plate and scooped up the rice along with the side dish for Rian. For a very long time Alice had not felt the warmth at the dining table like this, she had really missed this kind of atmosphere. Alice hoped that in the future they would often eat together like this.
