Flashbacks
This morning, after leaving the office, Mahmud and Andi headed to the guard post at the front gate close to the entrance.
Residences for those provided by the company are also close to the post. A pair of mess with two bedrooms in it and has been equipped with various facilities. There is a living room, kitchen and bathroom.
"Who was that woman's name, Ndi?" Mahmud asked Andi.
Andi who has served in the company several times, a little know the names of the staff who work in the company office.
"His name is Dinda Harika. Why?" Andi and asked back.
"Beautiful, graceful, clever." Answer Mahmud. Hearing Mahmud's answer made Andi look at Mahmud.
"Likes?" Ask Andi. Because Mahmud does not usually praise others, what more a woman.
"Anyone has one, hasn't?" Mahmud asked curiously.
Andi was silent for a moment. As if remembering something.
"Not yet." Answer Andi later.
"Do you want a pedekate? Who knows nyantol?" Ask Andi.
"Since yesterday, since the first time I saw the woman, there's something else I've never felt before." Mahmoud looked serious.
"Fell in love?"
"I don't know."
Andi and Mahmud looked at each other. Then shut each other up.
Mahmud helped Andi find information about Dinda Harika. Ask a few people around the complex.
In the afternoon, Mahmud sat in a polyclinic not far from the office. When people come home from the office, it will definitely pass in front of the clinic including Dinda. Mahmud was waiting for Dinda to come home.
Flash back is complete
***
Mahmud could not hold back his laughter, could provoke Dinda emotions that he thought were very funny.
"Mr Dinda, I want us to be lovers." Mahmud said with his hand still holding Dinda's hand after being removed from the tension device.
"I don't want to!" Dinda replied with eyes looking at Mahmud while pulling his hand that Mahmud was holding.
"Why? Many of the women here are chasing me, they are competing to be my lover, even they come to my room, why don't they?" Mahmud asked softly and heartily.
"I don't know you." Dinda shakes her head.
"Why not go out with one of those women chasing you?" Ask Dinda back.
"I don't like girls like that!" Mahmud answered while looking at Dinda deeply and sharply.
"meaning?" Dinda asked dumbly because she didn't understand.
"The man is like a lion. He would rather chase than be chased. You mean what I mean?" Mahmud looked at Dinda just like before. A sharp and deep gaze went straight into Dinda's eyes. The eagle eye.
"That's it," Dinda replied casually and disregarding Mahmud's eagle gaze.
"Mr Dinda has a boyfriend? Now you don't have it, right? Come on, date me."
"No way!"
"Why? Or maybe Dinda doesn't want to date, but just marry,"
"Well! It already knows the answer." Dinda said with a smile.
"But today there's nothing like that like Dinda. Surely people will say kathrok, kuper, or outdated." Mahmoud explained.
"Let's go. Why do people's opinions?" Dinda answered with a cry.
Now that Mahmud and Dinda's conversation is deepening, they are slowly opening up to each other to get to know each other.
"Different people have different opinions. Yes, we are horrified, who knows it could be constructive advice and criticism for ourselves. So that we can be better in the future." Dinda answered while playing her fingers.
"A good thought. I can't believe that Dinda doesn't have a boyfriend?"
Dinda sniffed her shoulders while smiling.
Dinda does not want to be in a relationship with anyone. Since he felt heartbroken, because several times sent letters to the address of his lover who was in a different capital, there was no reply. But Dinda still continues to hope to get a reply letter from her lover. Dinda will be faithful to wait. Although sometimes down to disappointment, his heart felt sore, wounded without blood.
"What about Mahmud?" Ask Dinda diverts.
"Dinda wants an honest answer or not?"
"Of course the truth and the truth."
Answer Dinda.
"Even if it hurts?"
"Yes, even if it hurts." Dinda nodded her head.
Finally, Mahmud told his life story from the beginning. Before he became a policeman.
*
A few years ago, after getting out of the boarding school, Mahmud, a teenager who joined his uncle in Palembang, after learning there was a police admissions registration, Mahmud expressed his intention to his uncle.
"Uncle, I want to register as a police officer in Palangka Raya,"
"Yes son! Go then! Achieve your ideals! Only the uncle's prayer accompanies you. Just one message uncle, don't leave prayers! Stay away from maksiat! Spread kindness!"
"Yes, Uncle. Uncle's advice I'll always remember."
Mahmud then left for Palangka Raya to register and attend education to enter the police.
After several years as a policeman, there was a woman who put her heart on him. Uh, it was the son of his superior. Finally, with such a short process, Mahmud married the son of his superior.

"My son is one, Madam Din. Dimas. Three years old now." Mahmud spoke seriously to Dinda. Dinda was quite a loyal listener to Mahmud.
"Every day, when I'm home, I always wake up early. My wife got up early and went straight to the kitchen, preparing breakfast. While I help sweep, then I clean my motorbike that I will use for work. When my wife finished preparing breakfast, she bathed Dimas. And I also went to take a shower. Then we had breakfast together. That's my routine every morning." Mahmud.
"Mak Mahmud's wife also works?"
"I forbid my wife to work. I am enough as a husband to be the backbone of the family. I want my wife to take care of my children and stay home. Will Dinda stay in work after marriage?" Mahmud asked curiously.
"I'm not married, so I don't know yet. But if my husband lets me work, why not? Itung-itung can to lighten the burden of the husband, right." Answer Dinda spontaneously.
"But men and women are different,"
Mantri Yos entered the room, joined in and sat down on a long bench.
"Yes, I know that."
"If Dinda were my wife, then Dinda would be in the glass cupboard. Just sit there, take care of myself and wear the clothes I like. Welcoming me when I come home from work, surely my fatigue for work will be lost because of your welcome. And will always be ready to accompany me wherever I go." Mahmud said excitedly four and five.
"Wow! Your wife is so lucky to have a husband like you." Dinda smiled, looking up at Yos.
"We're late to meet, unfortunately,"
Mantri Yos smiled.
"You have a wife, you have children, thank God!"
