Chapters 13. Afternoon Run

Late afternoon after work, Dinda approached Maya who was sitting relaxed in the living room.

"May's mom has no show this afternoon?"

"Look, Din."

"May you ask dong, change me to teach the kids today? I'm fit again, nih!" Pinta Dinda's.

"OKAY. But replace it. Later when I hitch you're changing the kids?"

"Sip, Ma'am." Dinda held out her two thumbs.

Replace Dinda who sits in the living room, while Maya rushes to the bathroom.

After Maya was ready with Muslim clothing complete with hijab, came to approach Dinda who was still sitting lazing in the living room.

"Din!"

"Yes, Mommy." Dinda turned to Maya who was standing next to her.

"But this continues my lesson, Din? You know, I don't know where you're going to learn,"

"As for Maya, the important thing is that children are not empty." Answer Dinda.

That afternoon after Maya left for the Mosque, Dinda changed her dress to a training suit. He'll go running around the complex. Walking up to the front of the clinic, Anu was ready with his running suit as well, a sports shirt with subordinate knee-length shorts. 

"Come, Din! The wait is long" said Anu.

"Waituin, huh? Wanna run?"

"Come on!" They started running towards the back gate of the company to get out.

"Where's Santi?" Ask Dinda after getting outside a few meters. Usually Anu more often run afternoon with Santi than Dinda.

"First already. I left him."

"Isn't he? 

"Hm."

The road is not always smooth. There are turns, downstreams and climbs. When the downhill road runs faster and when it meets the ramp, Dinda and Anu prefer to stop running. They walk more often. After running while walking a distance of about five hundred meters, not far in front of them was seen Santi and Yos.

"Hi Ma'am Santi, hi Tri! Yes first!" Dinda and Anu continued to run past Santi and Yos who were walking.

"Hi Din, hi Nu! Okay then!" Santi and Yos answered at the same time.

After they cross paths with Santi and Yos, not far in front of them, Anu and Dinda see two people in front of him.

"Who is that, Nu?"

"Not knowing your own boyfriend?"

Dinda while running glimpsed turned to Anu. And back to straighten his eyes forward.

'Oh, Mr. Mahmud and Mr. Andi.' Answer Dinda in heart.

"Derror, Nu! I'm not dating that guy. We're just …,"

Dinda's not done talking, Anu's already cut it. Now Anu and Dinda stop running. Just walk away.

Mahmud and Andi, meanwhile,

"Mud, your girlfriend's behind noh." Andi tells after looking back to see Dinda and Anu running.

Mahmoud looked back.

Then they stopped running and sat on the fallen tree trunk on the right side of the road to wait for Dinda and Anu.

"Commander Mahmud says you've been made. And now dating. We saw you guys very close too."

"What's? Anu!" Dinda was shocked and did not accept Anu saying that, wanting to deny it.

"At the clinic chatting together, on the street night-night together. That's what it's called, try?" Anu tried to explain and open Dinda's mind.

"That's a coincidence, Anu. Not intentional!"

"Eat one apple both?"

"What!"

"We can see, Din. Commander Mahmud's attitude towards you is different from that of the others. He's more attentive to you. You are his top priority. You know, every afternoon Commander Mahmud is at the clinic waiting for you to come home from work?"

"What!" Dinda was shocked again to hear Anu's words.

"Hi, Ndan!" Anu greeted the two policemen.

"Hi, Nu!" Mahmud and Andi stood up from his seat and mixed with Dinda and Anu.

"Come, Ndan!" Anu asked to run. While Dinda was not able to run it feels, after hearing the words from Anu earlier made her body heavy to run.

Mahmud and Andi follow Anu running, unaware that Dinda is far behind.

"In, first!" Santi and Yos ran past Dinda.

"Yes!" Answer Dinda.

Approaching the gate.

"And where's Dinda?" Anu asked Mahmoud.

Everyone look back. They realized that Dinda was not with them.

"We wait here!" Take Anu to Mahmud and Andi while sitting at the guard post.

Not long after they sat down, came Josh and Santi.

"You see Dinda?" Ask Mahmud.

"Still in the back." Answer Yos and Santi together.

Yos and Santi sat in the post.

"After this what's good, huh?"

"Enak eat fruitful," said Santi.

"What's that?" Ask Andi.

"Noodle pegs?" Anu and Mahmud together.

"Well, two compact guys. Let's just cook noodles in the clinic kitchen!" Invite Yos, asserted by all standing from his seat.

"Nu, grab some noodles at the cooperative! Let me take Andi to the vegetable nyari garden." Mahmud.

"okay!"

Walking alone, while thinking how to avoid a Mahmud. He does not want to be called as the actor and gossip material of the community. But as long as Mahmud is still in charge of this company, it doesn't feel easy to dodge and run away from him.

While walking across the field, seen by him, Adri and Noni with mothers were playing volleyball. 

Dinda went straight into the fitness room and headed for her favorite tool. Seen in the post that looks from inside the fitness room, looks quiet. There is only one security guard. The two policemen were not there.

After a short fitness, Dinda wants to go home and rest. But, when he reached the front of the clinic, Anu stood on the terrace of the clinic and called out to him. 

"Din, here!"

"Well?" Dinda turned to the clinic nearing Anu.

Seen by him in the back of the clinic, precisely the kitchen of the clinic, gathered Mantri Yos, Santi and Ana there.

"Here, Din! We'll wait for Anu to cook noodles." Shouted Ana.

Santi and Mantri Yos, who were sitting next to Ana, waved their hands to call Dinda.

"Yes, is it?" Dinda followed Anu from behind until she got into the kitchen.

"A lot of Nu make her noodles?"

"Yes," Anu replied as she rummaged through the noodles.

"When was the spice put in?" Dinda asked when she saw the noodle seasonings still scattered on the table.

Simultaneously came Mahmud and Andi standing at the kitchen door carrying freshly picked mustard vegetables from the garden.

"Eh, Ndan," said Anu. Dinda looked at the door. "Sir" Dinda said hello.

"This is the saw." Andi gives mustard vegetables and is accepted by Anu.

"You want to cook it now, Ndan?" Ask Anu. Anu looks flexible and skilled in the kitchen.

"Yes, let there be green." Answer Mahmud.

"Eh, Din, are you cooking too?" Ask Andi.

"No. Just look at Anu." 

"Then let Dinda cook the mustard vegetables." Andi told Anu.

"Yes, Din?" Anu asked who was washing the mustard vegetables while looking at Dinda who was standing outside the kitchen.

Dinda walked over to Anu.

"Here I am the holy one. You're the one cooking, Nu."

"Why?" Mahmud asked who had followed Dinda to Anu. Mahmud squatting along to wash vegetables with Dinda.

"Fear not good." Sahut Dinda while continuing to wash mustard vegetables.
