Returning from the office, Aidin did not go straight home after getting a call from Amera who he said he wanted to meet. He drove his car towards the lover's house not far from Herman's office.
''Indeed Amera wanted to talk about what, and she seemed to be crying.'' Aidin just guessed what happened to the woman.
Not long after, Aidin stopped his car in front of the luxury house owned by the lover. He entered without knocking on the door. Think of the house as his own home.
There was the sound of crying from the direction of the middle room that made Aidin surprised. Hurry up he approached her.
"Why are you crying?'' tanya Aidin sat beside Amera. He grabbed Amera's body which shook violently.
There were dirty clothes on the table and some wet money.
''This why?'' Touching the lined money sheet.
''It was all Zahra, in the restaurant he doused me.'' Picked up his clothes and rent out in front of Aidin.
Clothes that change color due to syrup spills.
''Why is he watering you?'' ask Aidin back. From the bottom of his heart, he did not believe Amera just like that given Zahra's attitude that every day was filled with gentleness.
Amera said that Zahra deliberately humiliated her in public and doused her with a drink. He also said that Zahra announced to everyone that she had dared to snatch people's husbands and called them cheap women.
Aidin clenched his teeth, his jaw hardening in anger after hearing Amera's explanation. He no longer knew what to do with Zahra. Because, he has too often hurt the woman, both physically and internally.
''You take it easy, I will reprimand him, said Aidin releasing his embrace.
Amera was satisfied. Now the plan to get into the Adijaya family is getting closer, and Amera hopes her lover acts quickly.
Unlike usual who went home to take an angkot, today Zahra was escorted by Kirana who really wanted to come to her place of residence.
''You live here?'' kirana asked as she took off her helmet.
Zahra nodded and let Kirana in. Despite being far from luxurious, Kirana believes that Zahra must be comfortable living there.
They put the bags into the room and talked to each other.
''What do you drink?'' tanya Zahra offered.
''No need, we were already copying.''
Before going home, they did stop by the cafe for a moment to calm the mind and seek entertainment.
Zahra opened the bag containing Kirana's clothes. As he said earlier, he had to borrow the woman's clothes before taking her clothes in the house of Aidin.
''How is it, still lacking?'' ask Kirana.
Zahra shook her head without a sound. He felt bad that it was bothering Kirana continuously.
''Say yes, Ki. You have helped me a lot, and only God can repay everything.''
The two hugged, because it was getting late in the afternoon, Kirana came home.
Aidin stopped his car at the end of the road. He went down and into a narrow alley, where he saw Zahra walking from that direction.
His eyes went around staring at every neatly lined house. There is no one classy house and it is certain that the residents there are mostly poor people.
Each house has a small lamp that illuminates the terrace. Aidin keeps splitting the darkness because it's eight o'clock at night. He continued to step, his feet along a slightly steep path.
Where's Zahra's house?
When he arrived at the fork, he stopped, confused to choose the left or right lane.
Aidin looked far towards the pitch-black left. Then he turned to the bright right, and finally he chose that direction to continue his search.
''I want to meet the hostess here?'' ask Aidin to someone who just passed by.
''That's the guy.'' I saw the woman who just came out. Aidin approached him immediately.
''Sorry, Madam. I'd like to ask. Is there something here called Zahra?'' ask Aidin seriously.
The woman stared at Aidin's appearance from top to bottom. Then stop at the very handsome face of Aidin.
''Who are you?'' ask mom to make sure. As the owner of the place, he did not want to include just anyone. More than an adult man.
''The husband is Zahra, '' replied Aidin in a heavy voice.
Despite the many question marks, the woman then pointed to the house row number three. The ugliest and smallest house among the others, which suddenly made Aidin's heart beat.
Mamun, he immediately brushed off that feeling. Don't want to pity Zahra anymore. For his purpose came not to do so, but to give warning.
He stepped small near the house. The door's tightly closed. Like the terrace that is in if, there is only dim lighting that shines as a guide to the road.
Tok tok tok tok
Aidin knocked on the door
Sayup-sayup heard someone who was teaching, whether from within or from where, the voice shook the soul of Aidin who had long been silent.
Not long after, Zahra opened the door.
''Mas Aidin, '' said Zahra without telling her husband to come in.
Aidin stared at the appearance of Zahra who was still wearing a mukena. She is beautiful even without make up.
Several passersby saw Aidin and Zahra standing in the doorway.
''I want to talk to you, '' said Aidin slowly. Hoping that Zahra told him to come in, he did not want anyone else to hear their slightly sensitive talk.
''Just talk,'' Zahra's great-grandson relaxed. Try to stay calm with what her husband will talk about.
''We're talking inside,'' Askin without further ado. He barged in and sat in the living room. His eyes wandered around the worn-out items as well as the weathered ceiling.
Zahra closed the door and sat down in front of Aidin. Opposite the table.
''What's up?'' ask Zahra to the core. He did not want Aidin to stay in his house for long.
''It's about Amera, '' said Aidin.
''He must have complained that I doused him with a drink at the restaurant this afternoon. Aye right?'' guess Zahra who didn't miss a bit.
''Then, what do you want to come here, get angry and hit me, return my actions to Amera. Please! I'm ready to accept it.''
Zahra prepared herself, as if she was challenging what Aidin would do to defend the cheap woman. Now he was no longer afraid of receiving Aidin's impingement.
Aidin was silent, but it even kept a lot of puzzles for Zahra.
If usually the man immediately ignited emotions when he denied, this time tend to be silent and not say a word.
Silent
Zahra turned her eyes the other way. She did not want to return her husband's gaze that led to her.
''It's too late, I want to sleep.''
Just standing up, Aidin pulled Zahra's hand until the woman turned her head.
