Behind the Grey Cloud
34 Visit to Father's Tomb

Today I asked Ms. Yasmin for permission to go to the village.

I miss the atmosphere of the village, and my home.

I also want to visit my father's grave.

Ms. Yasmin took me to the village.

Actually, I just want to go alone. Because Aunt Mita will be alone. But Ms. Yasmin insisted on coming with me.

We left early in the morning for the terminal.

I also told Aunt Mita not to tell Zen and her mother whereabouts.

Yea, I'd rather call her 'mama Zen', than 'my mother'.

On the way, I was more silent.

I tightly hugged Ms. Yasmin's hand and leaned my head on her shoulder.

The feeling of his shoulders is very comfortable to lean on. It was like there was a comfortable place to argue when I was tired.

I close my eyes. Trying to forget everything. Trying to make peace with feelings.

Suddenly, the shadow of life in my village flashed so real.

There are neighbors who are busy in the rice fields, there is a mang pak Tarjo who is lifting merchandise. There's Bu Darmi, the shop owner. There was also Ali.

I smiled when I remembered Ali. He's my frog prince.

He's my best friend.

Because of my busy life in the city, I forgot to give him no news.

Maybe he's waiting for news from me.

' O my frog prince, may you always be in good health.'

There was also Akbar, Ali's sister.

A little girl who was always shy.

He is quiet, always smiling kindly and never sulking.

Considering the funny events in the village, I can't wait to get there. I smile to myself

My home.

How is my home now.

Is anyone else going to be there? Because if left empty too, dear.

It did not feel like we were on the road to the village.

We had to walk around for a while to get to Ms. Yasmin's house.

The road is the same as it was 2 years ago. Still steep with a little bit of rock.

Rice grass that begins to yellow, adding to the beauty of nature. Also the sound of birds singing cheerfully. Makes me feel like I'm dancing.

While we were walking through the path, we passed the neighbors who would do the activity. There are those who want to go to the market, to the rice fields, there are also those who want to work in people's homes.

They smiled kindly at me, paused for a moment, shook hands and asked me how I was doing

Here socialization of society is still very tight. If someone new came, they would flock to inquire about the news.

We have arrived in front of Ms. Yasmin's page.

Ms. Yasmin opened the door, while I waited in the front seat.

" Mommy, I want to go straight to Dad's grave, okay?" ask Ms. Yasmin.

" Want a minute, take a break. You must be tired." stop Ms. Yasmin.

I'm actually really tired. But I miss wanting to go to dad's grave soon.

I also obeyed Ms. Yasmin's orders.

I went into the house and went straight to my room.

In this room, I lay my body on the bed. I took off my jacket and put it on the chair where I was studying.

This room is the same as before

Ms. Yasmin used to clean it when she used to live here.

Shortly thereafter, Yasmin appeared and brought me some warm tea.

I also drank this warm tea.

I think my body is fresh again.

I asked permission again to go to my father's night, and Ms. Yasmin finally allowed me.

I walked alone to my father's grave. I miss it so much.

Arriving at the tomb, I recited a prayer for my father. After that, I sowed the flowers I had picked behind my house to my father.

I wept.

I poured all my heart out to Dad.

All the events that I experienced from the past until now, I told my father

After being content to tell stories and cry, I cleaned my father's grave.

This tomb also looks cleaner than eating the others.

After I was satisfied here, I left.

I walked over to Ms. Yasmin's house again.

' Dad, as long as Mayang is here, Mayang will come here every day. Mayang misses dad very much. Pray that Mayang strong face this all yeah yeah
