Chapter 185 - Meeting Adam

Today, the atmosphere of the house suddenly feels warmer. How not? Unexpectedly anyone, the figure that Ayunda desperately longed for was now present before his eyes. He even felt surprised instead of playing when he saw the presence of a figure that he had not been able to meet for several months. 

He was so surprised, when he went down the stairs he saw the back of someone who looked so familiar, he felt like he had seen it. The woman rubbed her eyes slowly, she was worried that this was just an illusion because she had just woken up to take a nap. But when he woke up, he was already shocked by this. 

Ayunda room has indeed been moved down, but occasionally Ayunda misses the atmosphere of his old room which is upstairs. So, sometimes he would sleep there, especially during the day. At night, she would sleep downstairs with her husband. 

"Darling, come here.." Said Melisa when she saw Ayunda pecking at the stairs. His eyes stared at someone who was now sitting on his back, so he could not be sure if it was the person he was missing or not. But from his posture, he was very sure that it was him. 

"Mommy.."

Someone turned his head and smiled, a smile that looked so sincere, even making his eyes narrow like a crescent moon when the middle-aged man looked at him. 

The smile that he had so longed for a few months even this almost a year. Since then, he has never met again with the figure he considers as a replacement for his father and also his mother. 

"Father.." Call her softly, making Ayunda immediately descend the stairs quickly without thinking of her safety.

"Darling, don't run when you fall." Melisa. She rushed over to get close to Ayunda, but the pregnant woman immediately ran over and hugged the man she so longed for. 

"Hikss.. Uncle how are you?" Ask Ayunda quietly while crying. For a long time he wanted to hug the uncle and cry in his arms, he had missed the figure of a man who had always loved him. 

Adam rubbed Ayunda's head, then returned the niece's embrace tightly. He also rubbed Ayunda's back which shook because of her cries that had not subsided. 

"Uncle is fine, baby. You how are you? Don't cry like this, baby. Seeing you like this, makes uncle feel sick." Adam said slowly. He also could not hold back his tears, he cried when he heard Ayunda's crying that sounded so bitter. 

From a long time ago, he had often seen and heard Ayunda cry, but only this time did he hear the woman cry this light, was it true that at this moment he missed her so much? 

"Father is fine too, uncle. Why have you never looked at Ayu here? Uncle lupain Ayu?" Ask Ayunda as he pleased, his tears still dripped without being prevented by anyone. Even Ayunda himself could not prevent it from still dripping. 

Adam smiled a little, then broke the niece's tight embrace but he already regarded her as his own child slowly. He wiped away the tears that were caving in Ayunda's face using his wrinkled hands. 

"No, Uncle never forgot you at all. It's been a while since Uncle wanted to come here to see how you are, baby. But Uncle is ashamed of everything your aunt has done, so Uncle can only look at you from a distance." Adam said as he tidied up Ayunda's hair that was disheveled from crying. 

"From distance?"

"Yes, uncle often sees you from behind that big gate. Uncle's too cowardly to come and see how you're doing here, son. Sorry Uncle.." 

"Why did my uncle do that? Uncle is evil with Ayu, why don't Uncle come in and come here?"

"Sorry, sweetheart. Uncle felt embarrassed, even to just show uncle's face in front of you alone, Uncle had to gather courage." Adam said that made Ayunda look at the uncle's face with sadness. 

"Uncle doesn't miss me? Why would Uncle do that? Here, no one forbids Uncle to meet with Ayu right? Even Mami's with Papi, then why should Uncle be afraid?" Ask Ayunda. Melisa and Arvino themselves, never forbade Adam to come and visit Ayunda. Because after all, Adam was the only family he had after his family died. 

"Very, Uncle misses you so much. No one forbids Uncle from coming here, but Uncle knows himself enough, son. But, today Uncle came here to see you, what a longing this is so excruciating." Lirih Adam made Ayunda again shed her tears.

"Then, what scared you to come here?"

"Just fear in Uncle alone, baby. The rest is nothing." Adam answered while gently rubbing Ayunda's beautiful face. 

"Are you pregnant, baby?"

"Yes, Uncle. This is my second pregnancy, before I miscarried because of the evil actions of others." Clearly Ayunda was shrinking while rubbing her stomach. 

"Whatever we do to others, we can never satisfy someone's expectations of us, baby. No one knows who has malicious intentions on us, even if it's the closest person." 

"Uncle was right, but now I'm fine. I have made peace with the situation and made everything clear, it is evident that now I have a happier substitute."

"Thank God, your life is so much better than it used to be, son. Uncle's happy to see how you are now." Said Uncle Adam. She smiled because she was happy to see the state of Ayunda who looked very fine, even now she was much prettier because of treatment which of course the price was not cheap. 

Arvin and Melisa go to another place, they both give privacy space to both to talk and let go of longing for a moment. However, whatever they were to Ayunda, Adam was still a family owned by Ayunda. The only family he had, before he finally had a new family here were them.

"Your husband and in-laws are good, aren't they, son?"

"Very, they're very nice, Uncle. They loved Ayu without feeling awkward at all." Answer Ayunda.

"Uncle is glad to hear that, son. Where's your husband?"

"Not home yet, still in the company, Uncle." 

"Yes, we'll be home soon. Uncle Nginep is here?"

"No, Uncle doesn't feel good if you have to stay here, baby. Uncle will return to the village after this, seeing you healthy like this has made Uncle's heart feel calm and relieved." Adam said with a small smile. 

"What then? Nginap yes, Ayu please the same Uncle. Let Ayu ask permission from Mami, Papi later."

"Darling, no need.."

"But Ayu still miss Uncle, pliss ya.." Pinta Ayunda made Adam smile. Right, this is Ayunda. The niece he loved so much, he still hasn't changed. He's still a spoiled and funny Ayunda, he hasn't changed at all even after months they haven't met. 

"Yes, it's up to you." 

"How are you doing with aunt Mona?" Ask Ayunda with a smile. Adam smiled slightly and looked at the pretty face of his nephew. Even now, Ayunda still wants to ask people who have been evil to him. 

"Why are you still asking them, baby?" 

"Well, what's the matter, Uncle?" Ask Ayunda to Adam.

"They are evil to you."

"No, who said it?" Ask Ayunda with a small smile.

"Uncle knows everything, son. Don't think Uncle didn't know what your aunt and Mona were doing to you all along."

"Let's not hold a grudge, Uncle. I just want to ask how they are doing now." Lirih Ayunda's. She does not want to be a hypocrite, she still feels pain in her heart because of the actions of her aunt and Mona. But he did not hold any grudges in his heart. He wants to make peace with the past, as Melisa said yesterday. 

"They're ruined, Ayu."

"Destroyed?" Tanya Ayunda. His forehead frowned in wonder because the uncle's speech was a little ambiguous to him. 

"Mona is pregnant out of wedlock, but her boyfriend doesn't want to take responsibility. He recklessly aborted her and finally.."

"Why? Finally why, Uncle?" Ask Ayunda again. He looked at the uncle's sad face with a glare.

"His life can't be saved, he's dead, Ayu." Adam said as he rubbed his face. Ayunda looked very surprised when he heard the uncle's explanation. How can Mona be like this?

"Uncle.."

"Your aunt is shocked to accept the fact that her beloved daughter has died, Ayu. He was depressed and eventually uncle was forced to put your aunt in a mental institution." Lirih Adam made Ayunda shed her tears. It was as bad as their destruction after he left. 

"Uncle is here to apologize from you because Uncle thinks that this is because of everything they've done to you before, son."

"No-no, it's not because of me, Uncle." 

"Indeed, it's not because of you, son. But since they've done things that have clearly hurt you, you know for yourself that hurting the orphan would be very sinful right?" 

"But Uncle.."

"Uncle please, please forgive all the mistakes of uncle and also Mona. Every night, Uncle can't sleep well because Mona always comes in uncle's dreams and says she feels so guilty to you first." Adam said at length, making Ayunda confused. He felt that there was nothing to forgive from them, even though in his heart he still felt pain. 

Is it possible because of that feeling, Mona left in an uneasy state? Ls i? In that case, does this mean that he should try more sincerely in accepting all the pain they have inflicted on his heart. 

"Please forgive all their mistakes, Uncle. Sorry if Ayunda has not been completely sincere, to be honest Ayu still feels pain in here. But I swear, Ayunda can give it all away."

"Mona was able to rest in peace. For Auntie, later after giving birth Ayunda will come to visit her. If now, Ayu is not sure whether Mas Naren will allow it or not, Ayu is afraid not to get permission because Ayu has a history of weak content." Ayunda is at length. 

"It's okay, just hearing that Uncle was very happy. Thank you for being so willing to forgive all their mistakes. You're a really good kid, Ayunda."

"No, Ayunda just did Ayu's duty as a human. All humans never escape from mistakes, Ayunda also never did the same thing. So it never hurts to forgive each other."
