I fell asleep again, and that's where I dreamed. A dream about the past of someone named Uvukku.
642 BC, Amazon Forest
Uvukku was born to a family of tribal leaders in the Amazon jungle. Even so, his birth was never appreciated by other tribe members or his own family. His skin was dark black, his face was ugly, his body was in pain, and his mouth was also mute. He was much different from his two brothers who were highly respected by the rest of the tribe. His first brother, Oru' ksuthsu, was a tough and handsome man. He is constantly coveted by the girls in his tribe. Meanwhile, Oru' Yama, her second brother, is a beautiful, kind woman, but also a tough fighter. Oru' Yama had participated in various other tribal battles together with Oru' Ksuthsu, and they had made a huge and valuable victory for their tribe. Both names are hailed as peerless heroes, while Uvukku himself is locked in a cage the size of a puppy, and only taken out by his family as they party to celebrate Oru's return' Ksuthsu and Oru' Yama from the battle. Uvukku could only see the people from his tribe dancing cheerfully while he just sat there silently smiling from inside his cage. This was the most heinous insult ever committed by his family. Even to punish a traitor his family just threw that person out of his tribe. At the very least, those who were considered traitors still had freedom, unlike him. He is considered the same as a pet dog, having no life, emotions, or desires of his own. Whatever he did was only the will of the gods who created it to meet the needs of human life.
My uvuk every 6 days, will be removed from his confinement and whipped continuously so that he runs into the forest with wounds on his back. If he does not run, then his older sister Oru' Yama, will persuade him with a sweet word, like promising to free himself from the cage for good. Of course Uvukku accepted that, although in the end all that Oru' Yama promised was nonsense. After running into the forest, the wound on the back of Uvukku will attract the attention of predatory animals around it, especially the bears. At that time, all the men who also follow him will race each other to kill the animals that attack Uvukku, then skin the animal and show his skin to Oru' Ksuthsu. The man who won the race will be given a lavish tribute by his own father and will be allowed to join the special forces led by his two brothers. Meanwhile, Uvukku will continue to be forced to become a hunting bait if the animal that attacked him was not a bear. His family does not care if they will lose a pet like him, because they themselves still have other pet dogs.
His name is Umpuntu, the sister of Uvukku who is also equally unwanted by his extended family. If Uvukku is used as bait in the race, then Umbuntu will be used as a 'gift' of the race. If it will be forced to get in touch with the winner of the race, and if she is found pregnant, then Oru' Yama will split her stomach, take the fetus in it, then sew her stomach back. All this was done by force by Oru' Yama, and if Uvukku rebelled, it would be his victim. He will be tortured by Oru' Ksuthsu and his subordinates in front of Umptu's eyes until he is distracted, and at that time Oru' Yama will shower his stomach unceremoniously. This was done continuously until Umuntu had a permanent disability in his uterus, as well as paralysis in his right leg. It lay without having any energy left at all for the rest of its life. He is able to speak, and that is what he uses to continue to make Uvukku patient to all members of his family.
Although it had run out of sound, but still trying to continue to communicate with Uvukku from behind the wooden walls of the separation in a rickety wooden house where they were locked. There was never any food provided for them, so that was why they always came out of the old house to catch various insects such as cockroaches, bees, or ants. They both enjoyed the meal, even though in their deepest hearts there was disgust whenever they had to eat the insect alive. Only the voice of the younger brother continued to make Uvukku keep trying to survive all this time, and he kept promising himself to keep his brother out of the evil hands of his tribe and others in the world.
One day, their tribe was ravaged by a great war. Together, Oru' Yama and Oru' Ksuthsu set out from his home to the battlefield and also left Uvukku and Umpuntu alone. The departure of Oru' Yama and Oru' Ksuthsu always made people in the tribe anxious because no one could protect them. Day after day passed, and the two had not yet returned from the war. In the end, the feared came. Thousands of enemy troops came from all directions and slaughtered their tribes all. There were no survivors of the massacre, except for two men, Umpuntu and Uvukku who were in the rickety house where they were locked up. After witnessing the heinous slaughter with his own two eyes from inside the old house accompanied by his brother who was in a dog cage, Uvukku. The eyes of the two of them showed neither fear nor sadness, instead they were very happy and filled with hope. They were finally able to get out of the torture they had been through all this time. Silently, Umuntu walked past the enemy troops who kept guard in the area towards their main house, the place where Oru' Yama kept the key from Uvukku's confinement. Even though he managed to find the key, and a few moments later they both managed to escape by running towards the direction that was always headed by Uvukku every time he was released like a stray dog, into the depths of the forest. Uvukku held Umpuntu with both hands and continued to run with all his might. After many years of passing through this same path, Uvukku had already memorized everything in the depths of the forest. Uvukku finally found the cave he had marked all this time with a hunter's spear stolen by Umbuntu to help him protect himself from the threat of violence Oru' Ksuthsu and Oru' Yama. The two of them ended up staying in the cave for many years and Uvukku continued to train with the hunter's spear in order to become stronger. Every day, Uvukku will hunt by throwing his spear at a female bear or other animals from a distance. He will then return by covering his body using the skin of the animal he has skinned. Unwittingly by Umpuntu that in fact the meat they always eat is people from his own tribe who have spread throughout the forest.
Uvukku always went around the area around the forest to kill the girl from his tribe who had split up into 12 different tribes. It was all he did because of his hatred towards women, especially his second brother, Oru' Yama.
One day, when Uvukku returns home from his hunt, he is shocked by the disappearance of Umbuntu as well as the presence of Oru' Ksuthsu in front of his cave. Oru' Ksuthsu along with his men then attacked and captured Uvukku. He was then taken away to his long-destroyed tribe residence, and is now back to what it was. Uvukku found that people from his tribe had returned to live their lives as before and not only that, Oru' Yama has now been appointed a queen of the tribe. His eyes glared sharply as he looked at the head of Umbuntu who was in front of Oru' Yama. Uvukku became very angry and began to rebel, but he fell instantly as his right leg was pierced by Oru' Ksuthsu's spear. Oru' Yama then stood up from his throne then began to speak.
“Look, O people I love and protect. Shout your eyes to the devil in the middle of you ! This man is a traitor who caused our tribe destruction 5 years ago, and from now on he will become a slave to war. Whoever bravely helps this man will experience the torment he has felt all his life.”
Oru' Yama's words provoked the attention of many people around him. Their eyes were fixed directly on his black skin, and various scorn was thrown at him. Not only that, various kinds of weapons such as knives, daggers, pebbles, until hot stones were thrown at him. Uvukku already knew clearly that his two brothers were the ones who actually betrayed him. Somehow, the two of them managed to establish a cooperative relationship with other tribes outside the forest, then told the tribe to destroy their own tribe. With the propaganda that they were being colonized, Oru' Yama easily united the separated tribes into one again, so that they could both destroy the remaining tribes in one attack at a time.
“For the sake of the Mahadeva Impundulu, I am Oru' Yama, vowing to bring this tribe back to their glory days !!”
The entire populace cheered at him, meanwhile, my Uvuk grudge against his older sister was burning. He smiled very widely while imagining various ways to torture his sister until she was killed with a pleading face.
13 Years later, Uvukku stands in the middle of the battlefield still as a war slave. All this time, he kept fighting to death to survive and take his revenge on his older sister, but never succeeded. He was again imprisoned in a cage that this time was the size of a bear. He was always insulted by the girl from his tribe who also continued to heat his skin with fiery iron. For 13 years he fought in the war as the first forward, facing the enemy without any war equipment at all. For 13 years he was continuously sacrificed and also left on the battlefield, while the rest of the troops fled to save themselves. And for 13 years he was forced to return to his tribe who continued to hate him without end. This time he was face-to-face with his first brother, Oru' Ksuthsu on the battlefield filled with blood and fallen corpses. The atmosphere was silent for a moment, and the two stared at each other hatefully in their eyes. After a moment of silence while staring at each other, Uvukku finally went berserk and ran straight towards Oru' Ksuthsu with his spear drawn forward. It only took three consecutive strikes for Oru' Ksuthsu to make him fall to the ground.
Eventually Uvukku was brought back to his tribe by Oru' Ksuthsu, and it was there that he saw Oru' Yama one last time. Oru' Ksuthsu then submitted to Oru' Yama and said.
“This traitor has attacked me.”
Oru' Yama then looked at Uvukku cynically. He then smiled mockingly at her and had the female executioners sitting around her stand up.
“Skin him.”
And that's how Uvukku died. He was skinned by the female executioners with a serrated sword that not only tore his skin, but also pierced through his flesh. Shouting was the last thing Uvukku could do. While screaming in pain, he kept remembering everything he had experienced in his life. He continues to be insulted by the girls in his tribe. He never got any love from his family. He was caged like a dog by his tribe. He had to watch his sister, the only one who loved him beheaded. He was made a slave of war by his own sister. And at this time, his body was skinned alive by the female executioners. His entire hatred and disappointment was only focused on the one person in front of him, Oru' Yama. He kept remembering his face, until it was reflected in his head. Until he saw the female executioners who skinned him was Oru' Yama. Oru' Yama and Oru' Yama. He swore to the Impundulu Mahadeva that after his death he would beat all the women he had created and who had been born into the world. His eyes would never once miss his hunt. If someone else showed his prowess with a bear's skin, then he would show his prowess with a woman's skin. He will never stop killing, until all Oru' Yama in this world, both in the past, present, until the future has been killed by his own hands.
Uvukku ended up with all his skin depleted by the torture of the executioners. Oru' Yama then went out from before him while telling the executioners to whip him leaving only the flesh and muscle. Every whip he received without a fight. He wanted to rebel with words, but he was born a mute man. He was destined to live in the clutches of people stronger than him without any resistance. A moment later, Oru' Yama returned with a few people carrying buckets filled with hot molten iron. Oru' Yama then had the man pour the hot iron over his body. At that moment, when the molten iron was poured over his body, Uvukku felt his stiff tongue could be moved suddenly. He can now speak, and a word he always remembers in his mind. The only word he ever wanted to say in his own mouth. At least, the Mahadeva granted one of the wishes he had long ago.
“Um ..... Pu's....... Tu.”
