The time quickly passed until the day the ME Foundation charity event was held. The event, which is held every year, is intended to help underprivileged people, disadvantaged children and partly to help people with cancer and other severe diseases.
Hustle and bustle of invited guests, donors and performers filled the large hall where the event was held directly interspersed with clanking plates and crystal glasses. The intoxicating aroma of expensive perfumes spreads out to beat the scent of fresh flowers arranged in rows and coils as decorations. A large crystal lamp in the middle of the room adds to the impression of elegance.
Aira went around here and there to greet guests and donors and took the time to give whispers of instructions to the event organizing staff. Her elegant evening dress fluttered as she stepped up. Elegance radiated from within him to attract the attention of several single men around him.
Aira had greeted her mother who was talking to Erigo's father and mother at one of the tables and stayed for a while to have a conversation before approaching her father who was talking to one of their known guests as a cultural minister. Aira put her hand on her father's arm and politely greeted the minister and asked permission to tell her father that the event was about to begin.
As soon as her father nodded, Aira said goodbye politely. Just as he was going a short distance away, a man stood in his way intentionally and made Aira stop suddenly from nearly hitting the man's body. Aira was surprised and thought that whoever was in front of her must not have the same standards of decency as her.
The man was as tall as Erigo. He was wearing an old ash-coloured formal suit that seemed fitting on his body giving the impression of a fine man. The man smiled at Aira, but strangely, the smile on his face looked arrogant, not in accordance with the initial impression he displayed. The man greeted. "Hello miss Aira." He said in a tone as if he had known Aira for a long time.
Aira did not know him but it seemed like the man knew who Aira was. "I'm sorry, do I know you?" Aira asked trying to sound polite. To be honest, he didn't like the way the guy was fighting him.
With a strange head movement, the man replied. "You don't know me yet, for that is why we are now acquainted. I'm Jimmi Young." His words spread his hand. "You must have known that I'm a regular donor here." Continue to boast of himself.
"Oh." Aira replied realizing who had asked her to speak without being able to prevent her one eyebrow from being raised judging how arrogant this person in front of her was. Aira recalled Erigo's story a few weeks ago about her schoolmate, who was now in front of Aira.
Aira quickly changed her expression. After all, this person was his guest and Aira was his host. At least he can try to be polite. Aira welcomed the man's hand to shake his hand. "You're very kind to be a donor, I'm very grateful to represent the ME Foundation." Aira bent her lips forming something that could be said to be a smile.
Jimmi Young laughed proudly, pulled Aira's hand and kissed the back of her hand. "of course. That's not a problem for me." His words began the next arrogance. "My money's too much for me to spend, I don't think it's worth helping the poor kids a little bit." Say again.
'Poor children', how insulting, thought Aira annoyed, but quickly on her banks before reaching her face. "Of course." Quickly tap. "If you'll excuse me, the show will start soon mr. Jimmies. Have a nice night." Aira said with a smile. Aira did not want to linger listening to her show off wealth. There were many other things Aira had to do.
When he stepped up, he heard Jimmi speak again. "I'll see you later." But Aira pretended not to hear it. He hopes his actions are clear enough for Jimmi not to approach him.
The man's good intentions seem to have to be questioned. Aira felt she just wanted to show off wealth, instead of thinking about the fate of underprivileged children. Or he just wants his social life to run in the middle of people he considers equal. Aira doesn't know which one. And his attitude, is very exaggerated.
The event took place without significant obstacles, Aira also had time to meet Airez and Zora who also looked harmonious. Then say hello to Kei and Winne who were also present.
Aira's eyes are looking for the whereabouts of Erigo who has not been seen the trunk of his nose after the group Summer appeared when the figure of Jimmi Young returned to his face.
Aira. Erigo had already told him the possibility that Jimmi Young might approach him. But Aira did not expect the man to be so persistent especially after Aira left him just now.
"Hi, we'll see you again." Jimmi said as if he had accidentally approached Aira. Aira almost let go of laughing at Jimmi's tacky behavior in front of her. With a polite manner Aira smiled. "Mr.Jimmi right? Can I help you?" Aira asked directly without further ado. The man had obviously wanted something, therefore he kept bothering Aira.
"No need." He answered swinging one of his hands that was holding the crystal glass. While the other hand is tucked in the pants pocket, most likely to look more macho. Jimmi takes a step closer to Aira. Aira herself felt like retreating but she did not. He doesn't want to look intimidated. "I'll just go straight. I want to donate more to this foundation." Said begin. "But I want you to do something for me." Jimmi flaunts his playboy smile towards Aira.
Aira could sense that she might not like the continuation of this forced discussion. Aira was silent for a while looking for another polite word that was very difficult to say considering the man in front of her was a bit disrespectful. "If you need anything to do with donations, I can find someone to help you." Said Aira trying not to get involved any further in whatever the man in front of her wanted.
The man shook his head. "I don't want anyone else miss Aira." Jimmi urged. "You have to do it." A strange moaning appeared on Jimmi's face.
He wants this conversation to be over quickly. There's no point in being stale here and being seen by people. "Then what can I do for you?" Ask Aira.
Someone is trying to be a casanova, thought Aira. Aira no longer wanted to smile. The man in front of her must have known that Aira was dating Erigo. He doesn't seem stupid to know. What is this sudden date for?. "I'm sorry mr. Jimmi, I don't think I can help you." He said firmly his chin raised.
Jimmi didn't seem to give up. He laughed mockingly. "I think you attach great importance to the fate of the poor people your foundation helps" he said dismissively. "But it doesn't seem so, because if you consider them important, you won't rush to reject me miss Aira. I told you, I can make more donations, no matter what you ask. My only requirement is one, you're quite dating me. Just one night. Come on." Comeon." Speak in the most disgusting way.
Aira gritted her teeth, hands clenched beside her body. No one can judge Aira's integrity and dedication to the underprivileged, especially someone like Jimmi who is clearly insincere. And Aira doesn't like Jimmi judging her like a cheap woman who is easily tempted by the treasures she shows off.
Aira was trembling with anger. It was easy to pour a glass of drink over the face of the shameless man in front of her, but Aira still held it. "Why are you interested in me mr. Jimmi's? We just met a few hours ago." Aira.
Jimmi shrugged his shoulders. "Think there's something I'm interested in." He said indifferently. A whimper was imprinted on his face.
With a growl Aira finally let go of a mocking laugh. "I'm sorry mr. Jimmies. You can be interested in me, that's up to you. But again I'm sorry, I'm not dating just anyone." Tukas Aira spicy.
The stupid grin on Jimmi's face faded away changing in stifled anger. The man snorted in annoyance. "What's 'cause you're dating Erigo? Just so you know, he's just a poor country boy." His pedicab.
Aira shrugged her shoulders. "The poor country boy got me interested." Cetus Aira's.
Jimmi looks like he's gonna spit. "He's just a camp playboy." Attack it.
Oh how ridiculous this man is, thought Aira. Aira smile. "Did I hear a speck of inferiority of the city people who were rivaled by the village boy mr. Jimmi?" Aira raised her eyebrows. "Please don't let your soul be intimidated." Say again.
The counterattack from Aira seemed to be on target as Jimmi fell silent.
The man laughed loudly. "You did attract miss Aira." Her speech. Genuine confession without ridicule or insult.
Just then, Erigo came out of the crowd next to nowhere with a sun-bright smile and instantly pulled down Aira's waist possessively. The man kissed her cheek briefly before greeting Jimmi.
"Hi Jimmi, I see you're talking to my fiancee." Erigo said.
One corner of Jimmi's lips lifted and shook. "Your engagement?" Ask. His eyes widened in disbelief. A bitter defeat struck him.
"My betrothed." Repeated Erigo. "It'll be announced soon, if you can hold on any minute." Erigo. He turned to Aira and without even looking to say goodbye. "Hopefully have a nice evening Jimmi." He said as he pulled Aira towards the front desk where their parents were sitting leaving Jimmi who was cursing slowly.
Erigo led Aira down and whispered in her ear. "What are you talking to him about?" Erigo asked confusedly.
Aira just laughed softly raising one shoulder. His frustration evaporated as Erigo pulled his waist. "Just say some__reality." His words nodded and giggled slowly.
"Are you fishing too far?" Ask Erigo curiously.
"I'm not fishing for anything. I was just slapping someone with words of wisdom." Aira's laughter made her head jerk backwards.
Erigo laughed. "I'm very curious. Tell me later." He said and pulled the chair for Aira to sit down. After Erigo sat down beside her, the man leaned his body towards Aira and smiled gently. "By the way, you look so pretty Aira." Her speech.
