After the Rain
Expelling Son-in-law

Tired, but unable to give up.

Maybe that's what Daniar feels right now. For a moment, he wanted to leave Yandri who so easily believed in every word of his mother. However, when Daniar remembered her husband's brother's attitude, he felt sorry for the man who had lifted his dignity. Patience, maybe he should be able to cultivate more, his patience.

The holy month is coming to an end. Nauval and his family have returned from overseas. Currently, they are shopping for clothes in one of the shopping centers in the city of Tasikmalaya. When he saw his wife picking clothes for Devon, Nauval immediately remembered Rizal, Habibah's youngest son who was the same age as his son. Nauval also asked Laila's permission to buy Lebaran clothes for Rizal.

"Well, you still take care of his son, sister Bibah? Didn't my sister get married again? Yes let his new father be in charge of all the needs of the children of Bibah," said Laila, ketus.

"Ish, Mum. Both of Bibah's children, right, orphans. There is no harm in helping them. After all, it's only Rizal that we buy new clothes. Not bad, right, itung-itung reduced the burden of brother Bibah. So, brother Bibah just buy clothes for Ali only," replied Nauval.

"As far as you are, deh. Just be careful if the clothes are more expensive and better than Devon's," threatened Laila, still with a tone that is not sincere.

"No, Ma. 'And Devon's shirt, Mama's chosen one" Nauval said.

"Yes, let Rizal's clothes too, Mama's chosen," suggested Laila.

"Yes-yes, it's up to Mama" replied Nauval relented. Hmm, against his wife, it's the same as suicide for Nauval who is the type of husband afraid of wife.

The next day, using two-wheeled vehicles, Nauval went to deliver Lebaran clothes.

In fact, Nauval is already very well established in terms of matter. Two-story luxury house, so striking among the rows of houses in the village of Laila. In front of Nauval's house there is also a fairly large pool of his. Behind the house, he had several rice fields. Only, Nauval is the type of husband that can be controlled by the wife. He rarely paid attention to his own mother's needs.

Maryam was so happy to see her son come home. Among his four sons, only Nauval rarely visited him. Maybe because Nauval is so busy with his work overseas.

"Alhamdulillah, Son. I'm very happy that you want to come to visit Mother" said Miss Maryam shortly after letting her son sit down.

"Yes, Mom. Nauval is happy too" replied Nauval.

"You how are you? How are your wife and kids?" ask Miss Maryam.

"Nauval's good, ma'am. Laila and Devon are fine too. Oh yeah, where's Rizal, how come Nauval hasn't seen him?" ask Nauval.

"Rizal is playing at Bik Wanti's house" replied Miss Maryam.

"Oh that, yeah. Can I get Rizal?" pinta Nauval's.

"What's wrong, son?" Maryam asked.

"Here, Nauval has something for Rizal" Nauval replied, showing him a small blue bag.

"What's that?" ma'am Maryam asked, linking her eyebrows together.

"This is a little dress for Rizal, Mom," replied Nauval while keeping the small bag on the table.

"Ali, it's big, ma'am. After all, Brother Bibah is married again. Already thankfully Nauval bought for Rizal, so the burden of Bibah can be slightly reduced," replied Nauval gave an excuse.

"A moment, I call Rizal first" said Miss Maryam as she passed away.

Maryam just smiled wryly at her son's answer. Rizal can you remember, son. But in the slightest you never remember your Mother and sister, the inner Maryam Maiden.

Two days after Nauval's visit, Ms. Maryam's habits began to change. He was often angry for no reason. The food that Habibah cooks for breaking and sahur, he rarely touches. Miss Maryam always grumbles when Bahar comes home from work. Sometimes, he insinuates his daughter-in-law and compares the earnings of the son-in-law with the son-in-law of the front-door neighbor.

"Let's see Ohan, Ida's voice. Although only an angkot driver, but he can bring a sack of rice if he comes home from work. Lah your husband .. he said the owner of the convection, but bring rice to the house only about two kilos only. Huh, enough to eat us all." Miss Maryam snorted in annoyance when Habibah came to the kitchen carrying only one bag of rice crackles.

"Ish Mother, I should be grateful that we can still eat today. Don't look at anyone more than us, dong. Once in a while, Mother looked down, look at the person whose economic condition is below ours. There are still many, others who can eat rice today, but tomorrow they only eat tubers," replied Habibah, trying to defend her husband.

"Alaaah, your husband's base is stingy. He was favoritism. He was able to meet the needs of his two children. But the needs of you and your children? Huh, let alone meet the needs of his stepson, your needs are ignored." Maryam raised the voice of Habibah to defend her husband.

"Oh my God, Mom. Kang Bahar's business is down. Habibah himself saw if the order was quiet. Why can't you be patient? Didn't you tell Habibah to get married? After all, Habibah who is blessed, kok become a mother who is careless," said Habibah began to feel annoyed with his mother's attitude.

Miss Maryam grew furious when she heard Habibah defending her husband again. He got out of the kitchen and went to Habibah's room. Deftly, Miss Maryam took Bahar's clothes from the closet and just put them on the floor. After gathering, Ms. Maryam took two large bags and put Bahar's clothes into the bag.

"Mother! What did Mom do? Where are you going to bring Bahar's clothes?" habibah asked while blocking his mother's wrist.

Maryam did not answer. He just pulled his hand out strongly. A moment later, Miss Maryam dragged the two big bags out. He ignored Habibah's cries asking him to stop.

Arriving on the porch, Maryam saw the daughter-in-law climbing the stairs to her house. Miss Maryam smiled sinisterly staring intently at Bahar. Faithfully, he waited for Bahar who was getting closer.

After Bahar arrived at the door of Habibah's house, Miss Maryam threw both bags in front of Bahar.

"You are from my son's house!" drive Miss Maryam while she's ruffled by the waist.

"Mother?! What the fuck is this mother? Why did you throw Kang Bahar out?" habibah shouted as she approached her husband.

Miss Maryam grabbed Habibah's wrist.

"Stop Habibah!" his yell. Back Miss Maryam looked at Bahar. "I wouldn't have a lying son-in-law like you. He said he'd make my son happy, but where's the evidence? You're nothing more than a prankster in my son's house. Get out of front of me! Get the fuck out of my house! Go!" ma'am Maryam shouted louder.

Neighbors began to come out of their homes after hearing the commotion at Miss Maryam's house. Not a few who approached and swarmed Bahar who gawked because they did not understand the root of the problem. Embarrassed by the arrival of the neighbors, Habibah finally threw his mother's hand.

"Mother's outrageous!" habibah shouted while running towards the lush foliage behind the house.

"Geez, it's afternoon. Don't go there!" shouted Rina, Habibah's neighbor

However, Habibah paid no heed to the cries of his neighbors. He kept running into the thickets that were as tall as adults.

Feeling anxious for Habibah's safety, Rina then ordered the other neighbors to contact Yandri.

"Hurry up and get Yandri's phone!"
