Season 2 - Chapter 72

Nathalie doesn't think she can go back to London. It had been a few months that he had left this place, and now he decided to return again. Let's say that Nath hasn't been able to move on, but that's the truth.

The day before her departure for London, Nath had already rented a place to stay for her. The location he chose was also not far from his old residence. Nath is about to start a new life, without Willy of course. And Nath hopes he will never see Willy again, the man who has left him disappointed and heartbroken.

Slowly Nath began to move his legs. His goal is that he will come to where his new abode is. May the place be according to the wishes.

The location he was heading to was close, but suddenly his steps came to a halt. He looked at a man who was standing not far from him. The man was also intensely staring at him.

" Saomi …! " call the man.

Nathalie nodded. " Yes, I'm Nathalie." she looked at the man's face which Nath seemed familiar to her.

" I'm Matthew. Daffi coworkers. Do you remember ? "

Nath frowned trying to remember but he could not remember ever meeting the man with Daffi.

The man nodded and smiled.

" You ... Didn't you leave town a few months ago ? Then why is it still here? " ask Matt curiously.

Of course Matt was surprised, because Daffi once told me that a few months ago Nathalie had returned to Australia because she was getting married.

" That's it, you know also apparently that I had time to leave London."

Matt looked at Nathalie.

" It doesn't feel good if we talk here. Where are you going now? "

" How about we have a quick drink at the tavern." pointed Matt at a tavern not far from where they're standing right now.

Matt took a sip of his late Coffe then looked at Nathalie who was also doing the same thing with her, enjoying a coffee that felt warm in the cold weather of London.

" So, you're just back in London today? "

Matt asked because he had asked why Nathalie was carrying such a big suitcase. And the woman told me that she had just come from Indonesia.

" Yes that's how it is. I love this city too much. And I don't feel like leaving her. That's why I came back."

" What about your wedding. Is your husband coming too. Why don't I see it and now you're alone."

Nath sipped his coffee again. Didn't expect that the man sitting in front of her knew so much about her. Nath no wonder Daffi is the one who has told me about everything.

Honestly Nathalie was reluctant to answer the man's question. But it's not polite for Nath to just be silent.

" I'm not getting married." replied Nath briefly with a sad look.

" It doesn't matter. Daffi must have told me, considering you're his best friend."

" Where is Daffi now. Why are you alone. "

" Daffi is in Indonesia. "

" He just went to Indonesia yesterday. And he came back to Indonesia because .. ah that .. well why I'm so hard to say. "

" Hey, why. There is something wrong with Daffi or something bad might happen to him. "

" What? Be married? Daffi married? You don't joke. " Nathalie looked surprised to hear that.

" I'm serious and I'm not kidding. Today Daffi is getting married. "

" How can it be? " Nath was not out of thought with the news that was just heard. How could Daffi get married so soon. After three months Daffi had told her that he wanted Nath to marry her and become a mother to the boys.

" Daff, why do you have to go back? Wait until your marriage is one week old. It doesn't feel good that Mother saw it."

" Can't Mother. Daffi must return to London."

Daffi still insisted on returning to London the day after his wedding was over. Meanwhile, the Mother is still struggling to try to hold her son to stay longer.

" Go back to your wife, Daf. I don't want to be the destroyer of your household and I'm sure we both don't have a soul mate."

This time Nath and Daffi were reunited after several months of not seeing each other.

And this is where they both are, in a coffee shop not far from where Nathalie lives.

" But Nath, you didn't know what happened to me until I decided to get married." Daffi replied with fixed eyes staring at Nathalie. There was a hunk of hope that Nathalie saw from the eye radiance that Daffi showed her.

" Daff, listen to me. Whatever it is, you must be married by now. And don't expect me anymore because I'll never accept such an unreasonable request. And don't you try to force me if you don't want me to run from your life again."

Daffi was stunned to hear Nathalie's words. It is all Daffi's fault. After he learned the reason for his failure to marry that Nath had told him, Daffi really felt as if he still had a chance to get Nathalie. And Daffi did not hesitate to invite the woman he had loved since then

married. It is foolish to remember he himself also just married another woman. But for Daffi maybe this is an opportunity that God gave him. But in fact, for the umpteenth time Nath refused her. Refusing her presence in the woman's life.

" Don't do that again, Nath. Okay fine. I won't force you to marry me again. I don't want to lose you for the umpteenth time. But please, would you like to be my best friend again. Like before?"

Daffi tried to make peace with his heart. Maybe he and Nath can't get married. But what's wrong if they both return to be friends like they used to be. Daffi did not want to lose Nathalie back. And let it be in this way, so that he can still see Nathalie. Even though he was only a friend.

Nath thought for a moment before he decided to accept Daffi's request.

" okay. I concur. We're buddies. And I beg of you, Daff. Eliminate all your feelings for me. Let's just say something never happened between us. I've forgotten everything and I hope you do the same. It's just our past that might become a memory. Even though we both don't

we can be a family together, at least we can still be friends."

" Alright Nath if that's what you want. I'll try not to talk about our past anymore because I honestly don't want to lose you for the umpteenth time. I also don't want to ruin our friendship. I promise you, we'll still be good friends anytime. "

Daffi smiled looking at Nathalie. He must begin to make peace with his heart. Maybe it's true that Nath isn't his soul mate. And Daffi must be ready to accept Nathalie only as a good friend. And they both throw smiles at each other. Relief lingered in his second heart. In the end, the problem between them was over. By agreeing to make the best decision if they both will remain friends for now and during his time.
