A Husband's Love

A Husband's Love
Letter of Agreement

Sinta closed her eyes as Andre said the word talak. Those words were like a knife slicing through his heart. It hurts even though it doesn't bleed. Sinta opened her eyes when Andre had finished saying the word talak. At that moment, her tears came out. His heart is throbbing pain. Sinta looked down and cried as she pleased. The first night and Andre's treatment all crossed his mind.

The 20-year-old girl is now a widow. At a very young age, that status was inherent in him without the knowledge of his parents. I don't know where Andre's mind is. When another husband delays divorce when he finds out his wife is pregnant. Andre divorced Sinta while pregnant. With trembling shoulders Sinta was still crying. As if giving protection to his prospective children Sinta stroked his stomach that was still flat. Either because of inner contact with her fetus, her stomach suddenly cramp. It did not escape Andre's sight.

Andre looked at Sinta who was sitting in front of him. The decision that he had thought matured was now spoken. And they've become exes. The beautiful face is now decorated with puffy eyes and a reddened nose, but not a little there is compassion in Andre's heart. His heart was blind, and he thought only of Cindy's happiness.

"Love, I absolve you of your responsibilities as my wife. Start opening your heart to other men. This is the best for us. And for a marriage that has already happened, it will remain a secret and forever a secret. I hope you can keep this a secret." Andre said firmly and looked at Sinta. Sinta simply replied with a nod.

"And you don't have to worry, as I promised before, I will keep financing your college until you can be independent and this house will remain yours" Andre said

"Thank you sir, about my lecture you no longer need to worry. This is enough. I also promise to keep this marriage a secret from everyone including this child. And to open your heart to another man, it is not your business. And I hope you also have to promise, never to take back what you have given me," replied Sinta quietly with a distinctive voice that was just crying. Sinta picked up the transfer proof paper that Andre had placed on the table. Andre tells Sinta to open her heart to another man, the foolish man does not realize that he traumatized Sinta against men.

With trembling hands, Sinta squeezed the paper. His clenched hands held all the tightness that was on his chest. Andre nodded in agreement to Sinta's request. Andre thought that Sinta was only afraid of losing everything she had received.

"All right, it's all yours. Everything I've given you is all yours." Andre said very convincingly. Sinta looked up at Andre who was sitting in front of her. The look they meet. Andre immediately looked away. Sinta smiled wryly.

"Wait a minute sir!. Don't go first" pinta Sinta and get out of her seat. Sinta went into the room. A few minutes later Sinta came out carrying a piece of paper and a pen in her hand. Andre was a little surprised, it turned out that not only paper and pen Sinta also brought a stamp. Sinta sat back down again.

"We promised each other, sir, and we need proof of that. It is for our common good in the future. Then we should write the agreement on a piece of paper," said Sinta looked at Andre. Andre just nodded. For him it was good to be on guard and make Sinta not act like that in the future.

Sinta wrote down her promise on the paper, that she would keep their marriage a secret and not hold Andre accountable for her son. Sinta then handed the paper and pen to Andre.

Andre read the promise Sinta wrote. Andre agrees and Andre now writes down his promise, that he will not take back anything he has given to Sinta.

"Write here the addition of sir, in brackets only make, including saliva and *****," said Sinta indicating in which section Andre should add additional agreement. The foolish man looked at Sinta at a glance, then wrote down what Sinta asked. Andre was really stupid and did not think long.

Sinta again received the paper. Sticking the stamp and signing, then Sinta shifted the paper in front of Andre. Without burden Andre signed the letter of agreement. Now the signatures of the former pair hit each other on the stamp.

Andre got up from his seat and was going home. The business with Sinta is over.

"Sir...." Andre looked over

"Yes, there's more" asked Andre as Sinta called out to him. Sinta stood up from her seat and was a little nervous.

"May I hold you, sir, this is the last time. Let's just say this is a request from my prospective child," said Sinta slowly and lowered her head. His hand squeezed the end of his shirt in nervousness. Sinta realized her request was not good for those who were already ex-husband. Andre approached and hugged Sinta. Whether the encouragement from where Andre held Sinta very tightly, his right hand stretched out caressing Sinta's hair.

"Thank you sir for giving me the ease these past few months. And thank you for giving me the trouble that's never ending." Sinta sobbed in Andre's arms. The hug from Andre that he missed so much has now been felt Sinta. Last hug. Andre could feel Sinta's shaky shoulders.

After spilling his tears on Andre's shirt. Sinta let go of her embrace, took the letter of agreement from the table Sinta went into the room. The room that became a silent witness together with Andre, is now also a silent witness to the grief and wounds inscribed by Andre. Trying hard in front of Andre, in fact Sinta is just a fragile young woman. Sinta sat on the edge of the bed. Her tears were still free-falling on her cheeks and also wet the paper agreement that was on Sinta's lap.

His stomach is cramping again. Sinta lay her body on the bed hoping the cramps in her stomach stop. Sinta came out of the room when she heard the sound of the car moving away from her house. Her tears came back down. The man is gone and may not come back. Sinta looked at all corners of the house. Memories of working together to clean the house crossed his mind. A lot of jokes and laughter at that time. Now in this house, there remains only Sinta with her solitude and all her pain.

Sinta wiped her tears rough. Sinta realized, her tears would not erase the wound in her heart. Sinta went to the kitchen. He had to fill the stomach for the sake of the fetus in his birth. Seeing the condition of the kitchen that was a little messy, Sinta was sure that Andre was cooking. His hand stretched open the hood made of rattan. Sinta saw the tempeh and fried chicken. Taking the tempeh and putting it in her mouth, her tears came back. Andre's embrace and cooking, which was missed a few weeks ago, can now be felt Sinta again. Unfortunately, this is the last time.
