As in previous days, every morning Alif greeted Humairah at the dinner table, the man came early in the morning just to look at his wife for breakfast in the morning.
"Mas Alif?"
"Hi dear," said Alif with a smile as usual, he was drinking coffee with his father-in-law.
Humairah only replied with a deep breath, his days were not separated from the figure of a handsome boss who even remained present even though this was Sunday.
"Come Humairah" said father Imran, extending his hand.
Humairah welcomed his father's hand and sat down next to the middle-aged man.
"Mas Alif where are you going so neatly?"
"Taking you out on a date" Alif grinned, winking one eye.
Humairah looked at her papa who had been holding back a smile since.
"Papa sense it never hurts to enjoy the holiday with a walk, son Alif can accompany your weekend dear."
Humairah looked at Alif, knowing that the man had planned this with the father.
"But not so early either, after all there are dating places that open early in the morning. Sorry about Alif..... This morning I plan to visit my mother, if you want to take me away it should be noon," Humairah replied.
"No problem, I can take you."
Papa Imran also nodded in agreement, Humairah could only stare at the two men before him in turn.
"Papa and Mas Alif are so compact when it is still very early."
*****
Humairah walked side by side with Alif while down the corridor of the mental hospital, they walked towards a room located in the left corner of the hospital environment, the room where Aini's mother stayed.
Alif did not say much when he went in there, this was the first time for Alif to visit his mother-in-law with Humairah, usually he only came alone just to say hello and see the development of mothers who nurture Humairah since childhood.
Until there looks Aini's mother sitting in one of the chairs, the condition is still the same as the last time Humairah came last week, still withdrawing from the others.
Sitting alone without talking, just daydreaming all day at least that's what the care nurse said.
"Are you ashamed to have your future in-laws treated here?" humairah asked suddenly before approaching her mother who was not yet aware of their arrival.
Alif shook his head, "Why be ashamed, she your mother will be my mother too. You should know Humairah, because Aini's mother we're set up. Your father and mother were old friends of my mother's, they set us up."
Alif answered with eyes on Aini's mother's back.
"really?"
Alif nodded, "Yes," replied Alif briefly, he was holding something back. His chest suddenly felt full and crowded as Aini's mother turned the body right towards them standing, Alif's eyes looked at that pitiful face, Aini's mother's thin body, my empty eyes, my eyes, and the clothes are tangled.
He also remembered the incident, which claimed two lives at once. Ihsan's father who did not have any wrong to become a victim, Humairahpun equally became a victim of blindness of the heart of his second wife only he was still given a long life to escape death at that time.
"I think you're the one who met Aini's mother, I forgot my phone was left in the car" said Alif with teary eyes.
"Mas Alif?" Humairah caught the man's sad look, he knew something was hidden by Alif.
Alif did not wait for Humairah's response, he just left his wife to meet Aini's mother alone. Although Humairah was surprised he let Alif stay away, he refocused on his mother.
****
Alif had been quiet ever since their car left the mental hospital parking area. Humairah became astonished, Alif's face looked gloomy not excited like this morning.
"Mas Alif, would you mind stopping by my mom and dad's grave for a minute?"
Alif turned to Humairah then he nodded meaning to agree.
"Sorry to trouble you" Humairah said, looking down.
"No, I don't bother at all."
"But you've been quiet ever since, maybe you don't like taking me to see Mom, now that you're quiet makes me confused. If you have any problems or other business, you can drop me off at the flower shop up front, you can go."
Alif glanced at Humairah, "Honey that's not what I meant, huh..... I'm just thinking a lot of things, don't like taking you anywhere, I'm ready to take you anywhere you want, don't think like that, okay?" alif answered, grabbing Humairah's hand.
Alif stopped by the flower shop not far from the cemetery area. Humairah bought several yellow and white rose stalks strung together, while Alif bought a red rose.
"What's that for me?" humairah asked with a smile as she looked at the red rose Alif had bought.
But Alif nodded.
"Not."
"Kc.... Who do you want to give those flowers to besides me here?" reply Humairah upset.
"This is for my Ayesha."
"Which one is your father?" asked Humairah smiling sungging.
Alif was silent for a moment and then he smiled broadly, "Of course Aisyah Humairah, which Aisyah is it?" alif answered, giving the rose directly to Humairah's nose.
"Thank you, so sweet to my future husband."
Humairah accepted it with a smile that was no less wide, he kissed the red rose repeatedly. Seeing his wife's smile made Alif feel sad in his heart.
"If we're in a hotel room right now, I'll eat Humairah, huh.... This really torments me," muttered Alif upset himself.
"Keep that lecherous thought from my future husband, God," Humairah chuckled as Alif looked at her in annoyance.
They walked on foot after exiting a car parked outside the cemetery. Alif was nervous themselves as they approached the tomb of Ihsan's father which was not far from there there was also the tomb of a woman who had been part of his life journey.
"You see, she also died on the same day as my father, her name Siti Aisyah is still young very unfortunately" Humairah said, pointing to the tomb of Aisyah after putting flowers on her father's grave.
Alif flinching, his eyes also pointed towards the direction of showing his wife's hand, he glanced again at the headstone of Ihsan's father, ringing him a shady smile of his father-in-law, his mother's friend when young.
The man who was Alif's parents also allowed Humairah to be hosted by Rika's mother at that time. Alif remembers last meeting Ihsan's father when they had a meal together one afternoon before Humairah was angry with him.
Alif can not stand it, his eyes are hot and even watery, Ihsan's father was his mother's friend when he was young, because they also he can mate with Humairah.
"Mas Alif, what's wrong with you?"
"I'm waiting in the car" replied Alif with a heavy voice.
Humairah did not have time to say again but Alif first went from there, breathing in Humairah let Alif away again. He returned to pray at his father's grave.
A few minutes later Humairah walked out of the cemetery to Alif, where he saw the man's back shaking.
Humairah was getting closer to Alif who was sitting on a bench, he saw clearly that a man like Alif can also be crybaby, the man cried bitterly while covering his face.
"Mas Alif?"
"Humirah, are you done?" ask Alif who immediately wiped the tears.
"Mas Alif why?"
"No, I'm just remembering your father."
"You're crying."
"Oh baby come on, keep this a secret from anyone. You're embarrassing me," said Alif, upset himself.
Humairah smiled, "Well let's go home, it's lunch time."
Alif nodded lethargicly, he turned for a moment to the tomb of Ihsan's father and Aisyah's tomb which was not far from the fence, then he frowned when he saw a yellow rose on the mound of the land of his late second wife.
On the way home.
"Darling, did you put flowers on the grave of the woman next to my father?"
Humairah.
"Why? You knew her?" ask Alif curious.
"No, I just pity. The tomb was like never visited let alone put flowers, every time I came here the tomb was still the same no one visited, no one sowed flowers, no one, I've never seen a flower stalk come for her."
Alif gulps.
"If you remember everything Humairah," muttered Alif slowly, he returned to focus on driving but his mind glared away at a past.
"You can tell me if it needs to be told Mas Alif, I want to be healed I want no puzzle between us," Humairah said staring at Alif from the side.
"Why is that? Did you hurt me before I got sick?"
"Even more than that" replied Alif lethargic.
"really? Is our problem so weird that your face looks sad like this."
"Humairah, don't leave me...." Alif stopped the car and grabbed his wife's hand with a pleading look.
Humor smiled again.
"Where am I going? We're getting married, what are you afraid of?"
There was the sound of frustrating breathing from the man.
"You almost left me Humairah, I've done you a lot wrong.... Honey believe me I don't want us to split up, I don't want Humairah. You can be angry, you can be quiet, you can hit me but don't part. Before you remember everything, I hope I still get a chance to fix everything."
"What is our relationship?"
"I love you Humairah, you're all. I want us to get married like any other couple, I beg Humairah if one day you remember everything, you should not be in your early stance who still wants to separate, give me one more chance. I'd be crazy if I couldn't be with you. Baby trust me, whatever you'll remember later stay with me, with this cowardly guy. You're free to be mad 24 hours at me but we're not gonna split up, okay?"
Humairah looked at Alif with a confused look mixed with anxiety.
"Mas Alif, I don't remember everything about us. But I think your sincerity right now is enough to make me overwhelmed. Calm down, let's have this relationship properly, about the complicated issues you mentioned earlier as long as you know I don't like the lingering problems of course I forgive you."
Alif was silent again.
"If you say sorry in a state of remembrance, but I doubt if you will remain as you were when you remembered everything later, oh I'm really dizzy" murmured Alif tired himself, he said, he breathed Humairah's hand and went back to running his car.
Humairah chuckled, "I'm starting to remember something about us."
"What?"
Alif stopped the car again.
"Yes, I began to remember your adorable face, handsome and crybaby," Humairah said as she pinched Alif's cheek in dismay.
"Honey really?"
Humairah smiled and nodded.
"Then? What else do you remember? Remember the kiss?"
"Mas Alif," Humairah snapped in annoyance.
"Honey come on remember about our intimacy, please..... I've been patient for a long time Humairah. At least remember about our intimacy," whined Alif with a feeling of annoyance mixed with anxiety to immediately hold his wife if possible.
"Delusion? Hey we're not married yet, how can we make a true mess," Humairah argued.
"Huhhhhhhhhhh, well if you can't give me a kiss on the cheek" Alif said.
"Mas Alif stopped joking."
"Kiss your hands."
"Can't."
"Huh, all right kiss away... Muaahhh," seduced Alif again.
Humairah could only laugh softly, he turned outside the car window, staring at the quiet road of the passing motorist.
"Aisha Humairah."
"Yes, I'm Alif."
"I love you."
"Yes, I believe it," replied Humairah softly as she returned Alif's gaze to her.
"Darling...."
"What else?"
"Give me one chance."
"What other opportunity?" asked Humairah annoyed.
"Sort of golden ticket."
"Last chance you mean?"
Alif turned to Humairah at a glance then the man nodded.
"I promise you will be better, Humairah, I beg you. Don't leave me" whined Alif again.
"If so tell me when do you intend to marry me?"
Alif breathed a rough breath.
"Well let's go to KUA now!"
Humairah is just a head gnaw.
"Honey," call Alif again.
"Hmmm."
"Please, on the cheek, okay?"
"Can't."
"Humaha."
"Yes, I'm Alif."
"Living with me?"
"God willing."
"Until old?"
Humairah does not answer with words but a smile.
"Dear."
"What else is Alif?"
"Kiss, just one time."
Humairah.
"Humaha."
"Yes, I heard it in Alif."
"I love you."
"Yes, I know."
"I really mean Humairah."
"I believe, then when will we be in the car if the road is slow like this?"
"Give me some spirit."
"The spirit of Alif," replied Humairah encouraging.
"Not that."
"Then?"
"Give me a kiss."
"Married first."
"Oh Humairah, you're driving me crazy."
Alif seemed so frustrated.
