Ellio's Presence

It's been three days that Ellio hasn't seen Elaine in the hospital. Elaine felt lethargic, like something was missing in her days. He became uninspired, there were no friends to tell stories and laugh with.

“Elaine, eat first, Darling.” Mama entered the room, carrying a bowl of porridge she had just received from the hospital pantry.

Elaine sat herself in bed. Mama helped him set up a portable dining table over Elaine's stomach and put his porridge bowl there.

Elaine fed the porridge to her mouth, then swallowed it slowly while stirring the porridge in her bowl. Mama who saw how excited Elaine was today, smiled and tried to encourage Elaine.

“After breakfast, Mama accompany you to the park huh? Or if Elaine wants to go somewhere else, Mama will accompany.But, spend the breakfast first yes, so that Elaine quickly recovers.” Mama said, giving Elaine some spirit.

Elaine smiled, nodding her head. He hopes to meet Ellio at the park later.

The hospital does have several parks, and the gardens in this back area include rarely visited Elaine, as it is more like a forest with its large trees. Elaine sang small as her finger stroked one of the purple flower petals. He played his index finger on each of the petals of the flower. Elaine was reminded of Ellio.

Ellio, why haven't you been here so long? Don't you know that you're my only friend? I can't talk to Papa and Mama like I talk to you.

Ellio thrust out a bouquet of purple flowers, the exact same flower that Ellio gave in the garden and also the flower whose bushes were in front of Elaine right now. Elaine smiled and greeted the flower, putting it on her lap.

“This flower again.” Whisper Elaine while stroking the flower on her lap, her lips still smiling.

“Yes, I don't know what flowers you like. Yesterday I gave you this flower you look happy, so I framed you this flower. What flowers do you like?” Ask Ellio again.

“From now on, this will be my favorite flower.” Elaine replied as she timidly stared at Ellio. Ellio also smiled looking at Elaine.

“So you said, you stringed it?” Elaine asked again, trying to distract herself from covering her red-hued cheeks. Ellio nodded, but his eyes still looked at Elaine's face.

“Elio!” Elaine exclaimed softly as she held onto her heated cheeks.

“And another one,” continued Ellio again, standing up and then bringing his face closer to Elaine's face, “You're getting sweeter if your cheeks are flushed so.” His whisper.

“Elliooo!” Elaine exclaimed again getting louder as she covered her face with her palm. His face was very hot and his heart was pounding.

Ellio looked up at Elaine who was still covering her face with her hands. He had not returned to his original sitting position, still standing in front of Elaine's wheelchair.

“Come, open your hands.” He said, still teasing Elaine. “I want to see that sweet red face. Come on quickly, open.” Her laugh.

Elaine shook her head while still covering her face with her hands. He hasn't been able to face Ellio now, he's very embarrassed.

Suddenly Ellio placed something on Elaine's lap, then gently held onto both of Elaine's wrists. Slowly Ellio opened Elaine's hand and kept her away from her face.

Elaine stared at the thing that Ellio had placed on her lap. A box that is not too big, enough to provoke the curiosity of Elaine.

“What is this?” He asked, then slowly opened it. His eyes widened when he saw the contents.

“Ellio? This?” Elaine muttered in amazement, tears began to drip down her cheeks. A box full of sunflower powder was in Elaine's hand.

Ellio wiped away the tears on Elaine's cheek. He stared at Elaine.

Elaine nodded her head. Tears continued to pour down her cheeks. Ellio wiped it many times with his hands.

“Give the powder to your papa, yes, so that the doctor can immediately prepare a serum for you.” Ellio said again.

“Thank you, Ellio. Thank you.” Elaine smiled as she wiped her tears with the back of her hand. “Can you help me? Please push my wheelchair to the nursery , we both wait for Papa there.”

Ellio shook his head sadly. “Sorry, Elaine. I'm just here, right? I will accompany you here until your father or mother comes.”

Elaine smiled and nodded her head. Then Ellio sat on the garden chair that was under the tree as well, they were joking and laughing. There was no more sadness on Elaine's face, all the weight lifting from her chest.

Mama Angel finally came. And like papa before, mama was also confused to see the happiness that emanated honestly from Elaine's face.

“Sayang?” Greet Mama Angel. He's still confused but happy to see Elaine's happiness. Elaine looked at him with a radiant face.

“Mama!” He cried, then stretched out his hands, asking for a hug from his mother. Mama hugged him and Elaine hugged him back happily.

“Ma, this is Ellio.” Said Elaine again, Ellio immediately lowered his body slightly towards Mama Angel, and Mama Angel nodded her head.

“See Ma, what Ellio brought for Elaine.” Said Elaine while thrusting a box filled with sunflower powder. Mama Angel's eyes grew up looking at the powder, she immediately grabbed the box with haru.

“Thank you, Son. This is a very precious treasure for Elaine. Thank you very much, Nak.” Mom Angel's Issue. Elaine patted her mother's shoulder to make Mama Angel calmer.
