Elaine and Ellio

Present-day.

 

Elaine.

A sweet girl who is friendly and cheerful. He lives with his father and mother in a quiet and beautiful residential neighborhood. She was a friendly girl, the people around her loved her.

The disaster came when she was six years old, when an unexpected event took her freedom. Elaine had an accident during a field trip with her school friends. The accident left part of her brain cells damaged by the shock, and her body became dependent on pure oxygen and sunflower powder. Pure oxygen and sunflower powder, which contain large amounts of essential oils and certain minerals, helps the body form new brain cells. Without these new brain cells, Elaine would often suddenly fall unconscious, unable to breathe, and suffer severe headaches.

The disaster made for a full year Elaine can not travel anywhere, she underwent treatment and complete rest at home. Even if forced, Elaine only went to the hospital if her body condition worsened. While at home, Elaine can attend school online or use a private teacher, but her weak body condition makes Elaine unable to stay active for long. Most of the time it is used to rest.

Elaine's condition makes both her parents sad. They always try to get the drugs Elaine needs for her recovery, but it's not easy. In addition to sunflower powder, the amount they get is always too little. Therefore Elaine is not always able to receive treatment in time. This affects the length of time Eline needs to recover.

His physical condition did not make Elaine turn into a child of shy and loner. He remains a sweet and cheerful boy. He always comforted his parents and others who loved him but felt sorry for him. Elaine never showed her sadness, her clear and moving eyes full of vigor and her smile that always adorned her lips always completed her days, giving a little happiness and hope especially to her parents. But at night when his parents did not know it, often Elaine cried because of the pain she suffered, especially when her headache came.

Two years later, Eline's condition began to stabilize but he has not fully recovered. He had to go to the hospital to get treatment for his illness. On one of his visits to the hospital, he met a boy who was almost his age. The boy was named Ellio.

 

Elliott

A mysterious boy. His first appearance as an eight-year-old child in a hospital did not attract the attention of the surrounding environment. He is often seen playing among the plants kept in the hospital garden. He loved the flowers that were planted in the garden. Sometimes it can also appear around the fish pond that is also in the hospital. In this hospital, there is a garden and fish pond that is quite spacious, as a place to walk for patients and their families.

No one noticed Ellio in this area of the hospital. Medical personnel and patients and their families often think that Ellio is just playing in the park while waiting for his family who is also treated at this hospital. Some think that Ellio only accompanies his parents who are swiping patients, and Ellio is unable to enter the patient care area because of his young age. This makes Ellio more free in the area of the park and fish pond.

Ellio was looking at a corner of the park, a little girl sitting in a wheelchair. His eyes were staring at the swarm of red roses, but it was clear that this child was actually daydreaming. His long hair was left unraveled, his skin pale white, on the back of his hand was stuck an infusion needle and his wrist was adorned with a patient label.

Ellio had often seen the girl in this garden or sometimes by the pool.  Not every day, but several times in the last few months.  Ellio also only took a quick look at it, he did not greet her. The girl was also silent, she did not turn her head or move her eyes even though Ellio passed by her side.

Ellio wanted to say hello to the girl, but the girl's often sad-looking face made him doubtful. What if he gets rejected? Will the girl be indifferent to him or will she scream at him? Ellio was worried about this possibility, so he refrained from coming to the girl.

Suddenly an adult man came up to the girl, touched her shoulder, and sat down in the garden chair beside the wheelchair. The girl turned her head, then smiled at the man.

“Elaine.” Say that man. Ellio could hear his words.

Your name's Elaine? Mumbled Ellio again.

“Papa.” The girl clasped the man's hand with a smile. Papa also smiled after seeing Elaine's smile.

“Doctors have made the serum extract. Tomorrow it is ready and can already be injected into your body.” Papa Elaine replied.

“Wah, the powder is enough huh, Pa? So happy! Finally the serum is ready after six months huh, Pa.” Elaine's smile didn't fade.

Papa nodded. “Pardon Papa yes, Darling, Papa can't provide your medicine in time. You actually need that serum every month, honey, but it's hard for Papa to get the raw material.” Papa spoke while lowering his face, he felt sad and a little desperate.

Elaine turned her stool chair to face her papa, then stretched out her hands and held her papa cheek.

“Papa has tried hard.” Elaine. “Don't be sad, Pa. Six months is enough. Elaine is what. Elaine is already much better, thanks to Papa.” Add it while still smiling.

 

Ellio observed the interaction of the father and son from where he sat. He could clearly hear their conversation.

So he needs a rare special serum, Ellio murmured.

The girl kept talking to her dad. Her sweet smile never disappeared while with her father, very different from when the girl was alone. Is he just pretending to be happy, asked Ellio again in his mind.

Finally the adult man, whom Ellio knew as Papa Elaine, stood up. He pushes Elaine's wheelchair out of the park to the hospital room derailment. As the wheelchair passed by Ellio who was sitting by the pool, Elaine slightly rolled her eyes. As Elaine's eyes met Ellio's, Elaine raised a slight corner of her lips and passed.

Ellio pensively looked at Elaine's eyes. Round eyes that are so clean and plain. Ellio was very fond of Elaine's gaze, let alone combined with her smile.

Ellio promised to greet Elaine at their next meeting. Hopefully his worries are not proven and Elaine can respond kindly to his greeting.
