Like Grasping a Bara

"I'm sorry, sir, this is a clean and tidy grandpa. Monggo was immediately punished," said the assistant mother midwife while handing the tiny baby who had been neatly wedged in front of Hariz.

Hariz received and held his little baby in his lap.

"Monggo, sir, immediately be punished first," said mbak adisten again reminded.

Hariz replied with a smile, saying, "Sorry, Ma'am, until now I have not found out if there is any advice to treat a newborn. As far as I know the call to prayer is only a call when I want to perform prayer only," explained Hariz at length.

Hearing Hariz Mbak's answer, the assistants could only look at each other with the midwife who happened to be cleaning up some of the equipment that was still scattered in the room.

"But usually who have given birth here all average child, you know, sir. There was even a husband who was an ustaz also he continued to persecute his son," between midwives later.

"Excite, Mom, I'm ngertos. Someone else mboten nopo-nopo if you want to do it. Maybe he found his advice. As for me until now I have never known and have not heard the proposition sohihnya. So yeah, I don't practice it."

The midwife and the assistant were astonished by Hariz's attitude, which was different from most people. Of the patients who have given birth in his clinic almost all fathers or families or guardians must be sacrificing newborn babies.

After coming out of the maternity room his assistant asked the midwife.

"Mom, couldn't you do it this time, could you?"

"But, when I was about to perform Maghrib prayers in the musala I saw him, who is the azan," replied the midwife.

"Yes, I also just found a parent who refused when told to hold the baby," continued Bu u midwife later.

Hariz, who overheard the chatter of two women who had helped his wife, just passed by to the exit to look for the wife's ordered ijo bean porridge.

According to Hariz it's up to what people say about him. He only intends to try as much as possible to practice what he already knows and understands so far. Because in a hadith it has been explained.

Rasulullah shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam,

...يَأْتِي عَلَى النَّاسِ زَمَانٌ القَابِضُ عَلَى دِيْنِهِ كَالْقَابِضِ عَلَى الْجَمْر...

“Will come to man an age, one who clings to his religion like one who holds embers.”

Although he gets gossip and ridicule every time there is a different attitude from others, he does not want to care about it anymore.

The best judgment is only the judgment of God that is most important. While the assessment of humans or others is not too expected. Because everyone's perception is different. The man only intends to practice the Shari'a in accordance with the guidelines and not half in his practice in accordance with the verse in the Qur'an which reads:

Allah Ta’ala says,

... يَأَيُّهَا الَّذِيْنَ آمَنُوْا ادْخُلُوْا فِي الْسِّلْمِ...

“O you who believe, enter into Islam as a whole.” (Al-Baqara: 208)

Almost ten o'clock late last night Hariz just returned to the maternity room while carrying a black swipe filled with orders and other snacks for Dhena.

"Here, Dek, eat the porridge first" Hariz ordered as he poured the ijo bean porridge into an empty bowl.

"Where did the porridge come from? Are these nights still selling?" ask Dhena.

"Tadi Mas muter-muter to the square of the district. Thank God there's still something missing."

Dhena who from earlier began to feel hungry after draining her energy so greedily enjoyed the porridge bribed by her husband with full attention. In fact, this afternoon the clinic has brought and prepared a special dinner for patients who will give birth with a full menu.

However, Dhena had no appetite to eat it due to the overwhelming effect of the pain she felt when the contractions inside the stomach had already started to come without pause.

Let alone to be able to spend rice one plate, just to drink one sip of Dhena felt unable to do it. But after going through the process of giving birth that has put some of his life then the woman of small stature began to feel her stomach rumbling.

It was almost midnight that Hariz and Dhena could not close their eyes. Dhena who was still lying on the patient's couch was uncomfortable with her condition which still continued to bleed non-stop. Sometimes she asked her husband to change the rags that were still dry and clean. With care and attention Hariz serves every need of his woman whenever requested and needed.

Hariz, who had just laid a mat on the floor, was about to move on to his dreamland, when he was startled by the shrill crying sound of his baby sleeping in a crate.

"Mas, his grandpa was crying, how is it, I can't get up to hold him," said Dhena because his body felt unable to move even if only to turn around. His entire bones and joints seemed to be all dislodged. Limply.

Hariz was no less confused faced with such circumstances. Her heart was eager to reach out and help her baby who was crying even harder. But, he did not know how to be able to take it directly the baby who was lying in the box. He was worried that he slipped or something unexpected happened because he was not experienced in carrying a newborn baby like this.

The two married couples were only able to look at each other without being able to do anything, while the cry of the baby increasingly hoped to be given help immediately.

"Style up, ma'am assistant, a minute, yes, who knows, who can help" Hariz said as he left the room.

After several times knocking on the door of the room which happened to be side by side with the maternity room, out one of the assistant and immediately invited to the room where Dhena and her baby were crying.

With a look Mbak adisten it grabbed and held a tiny baby who turned out to be soaking wet because of the toothless. Then pack diapers and bedongs with ones that are still dry.

"Thank you, yes, Ma'am, sorry to interrupt and bother you," Hariz said, feeling unwell because it had disturbed the sleep of others.

"Yes, sir, it's okay, it's part of my job, really, helping patients who have just given birth," said the girl in white uniform smiling kindly.

At 8 am after cleaning up and breakfast Dhena is allowed to go home. Because it is seen the condition of the mother and the baby are all healthy.

Bude Wati, who is still a relative of Hariz, accidentally picked him up using four wheels that had been parked in the clinic yard.

Dhena is limping while being led by Hariz to the car. While the baby was carried by Bude Wati and sat in the car.

Just now Dhena was about to go in and sit on the car bench her heart was stingy astonished to see on the forehead of her tiny baby looks like there is a small white object.

Encouraged by high curiosity, Dhena asked, "That's what's on Dedek's forehead, Bude?" ask Dhena carefully.

"Owh, it's garlic."

"Lho, kok, garlic, for what?" Dhena was curious.

"Yes, this is right, want to travel a bit far, let the grandpa survive no one is stuck and follow, so there must be an antidote." Bude Wati gave an explanation even though Dhena's little heart couldn't accept her baby in such a manner. According to him, who provides salvation and protection only God alone does not have to go through objects especially garlic which is just an ordinary kitchen spice.

"It's okay, Bude, don't need to be taped to it," said Dhena trying to resist the treatment of Bude Wati.

"Hush! you're Dhena, young man knows nothing. Your son's turn later why-napa even berabe. Take care of everything," bude Wati said.

Dhena and Hariz looked at each other without being able to do much. But in her little heart she refused with the sight before her eyes. Because what he did was clearly contrary to Islamic law.
