Jared thought hard about how he could meet with Shanon. She is beautiful, and looks young too. She had a face that could charm other men but why should she be the one she was aiming for? Doesn't the news always express opinions about his wife and children? He must know that but why would he still act like that? Jared shakes. He must stop the thoughts that lead to Shannon. From the beginning he should not have started thinking about the woman.
Finally Jared decided to get rid of the food that Shanon had given him to the trash. He refused to enter the woman's game. Without burden he rose from his seat of greatness. Suddenly he has an appetite. Italian Food.
Shanon stood behind the reception desk on an empty stomach. He thought too much about Jared to miss his own lunch. The breakfast was filled with warm milk. What a fool! His mind returned to the moment where Jared contacted him. Everything went as he wanted except for stomach problems. His stomach will recur especially after missing this lunch. Now his stomach began to grumble to the point that Lowy could hear and look strangely at him.
“Don't say you missed lunch,” Lowy comments with a lazy look.
Shanon nodded with a scowled face. His stomach was shaking in there.
“Wy, I have to go to the toilet immediately.”
Without waiting for a reply he immediately ran away from his place.
His face paled after twice going in and out of the toilet. Shanon touched his sweaty face. It sucks! He should have eaten something before taking care of that handsome director. He grimaced his stomach. He should still work anyway. Lowy couldn't keep watch and take care of everything alone at the front desk. Shannon's great determination makes her stomach problems forgotten, at least for a moment. When he returned, a scene he did not want to see appeared there. Shanon took a deep breath and walked over. Mr. Robert was standing there with his waist. He knew he was in big trouble.
Shanon bowed in respect. “Good day, sir.”
The manager's gaze showed no signs of kindness at all. Damn it!
“Every time I check, you're always not in place, Shanon.”
“Sorry sir, I'm in poor health, so I went to the toilet.”
Robert's forehead shriveled. “Many employees say that you often roam upstairs during work hours.”
“They misunderstood, sir. I have never left this table for no reason let alone in business hours.” Bela Shanon over her. How could there be rumors circulating without his knowledge? Did Fira reveal everything?
“Do you still bother Mr Director?” ask Robert firmly.
“I won't dare sir,” replied Shanon followed by a reassuring trouser.
“Remember Shanon, you've got your first warning. You'll get the next warning easily if your behavior is still like this. Avoid mistakes and focus on working,” Robert's orders before moving on from there haughtily.
Shanon exhaled a long breath feeling a little relieved.
“Are you okay?” elus Lowy was right on his back. “You look a little pale.”
Shanon rubbed his cold face while shaking his head, “I’m okay.”
He lifted his head and looked directly at Jared who had just entered the office. Since when did he come out? What was he doing in the toilet? Spontaneously Shanon and Lowy bowed respectfully.
“Good day, Mr. Jared,” greet them in unison.
Shanon raised his head and was surprised to see Jared still standing with an uncomfortable look there. The director made him even more surprised as he walked closer to him. If his physical condition is fit then he will be happy to face this situation, but now his stomach is not friendly. Shannon has no power to play around.
“There's something I can help you with, Mr. Jared?” shanon asked as loud as possible with suddenly limp feet.
Jared approached with a frown. “You think this company is so irresponsible that it still hires sick employees?”
Shanon took a deep breath and turned towards Lowy who was staring worriedly at him. Maybe his face was back as pale as before. He lowered his head, not out of shame but because his eyes were starting to cloud.
“I'm sorry Mr. Jared.”
“It should be an incompetent employee like you has been expelled for a long time,” furious the director full of power. “Bring him to the dugout,” his orders are sharp.
“Good sir,” Lowy replied as quickly as possible while touching Shanon's arm.
Shanon could hear the knocking of Jared's shoes moving away, indicating he was gone. That's when he became himself. He was no longer strong enough to hold his body weight until he moved curly towards Lowy. His friend was holding back.
“Shany, you are very pale,” Lowy said frantically making his vision blurr.“Shanon!” the scream was the last he heard before he lost consciousness.
The soft pillow underneath felt so foreign. His eyes moved uncomfortably before finally opening. A white atmosphere greeted him. He knew this wasn't an office break room. He cringed and then sat down slowly. Shannon looked at the entire side of the room and realized where she was. Clinics.
The door opened and displayed Lowy with his worried expression.
“I've improved.” Shanon stared at the room. “How can I be here?”
“You fainted.” Lowy thrust the drinking water that Shanon immediately gulped.
“You're carrying me?” ask her with raised eyebrows. Lowy smiled slightly making Shanon understand. “Oh, Jimmy. I'll thank him later.”
Lowy shook his head with a smile that continued to crack on his lips. “You remember the moment where Mr. Jared scolded you for still working even when sick?”
Shannon stroked her own head. He remembered how Jared felt uncomfortable seeing the situation.
“Yes. It's a bitch, isn't it? He's aggravating my condition.”
Lowy clasped his hands while laughing. “Shanon, it wasn't Jimmy who brought you here.”
He glares.
“Not?”
“Not,” reply Lowy getting excited.
Shanon swallowed with difficulty. Don't tell me he took her. Not likely. Jared was immune to all his temptations. How could he possibly do that?
“Mr. Jared was so deft to lift and bring you here,” Lowy continued with eyes full of admiration.
Shanon took a surprised breath. “Mr. Jared?”
Lowy nodded. “He saw you who fell so weakly towards me. I screamed until he came back. You know what, Shany? He said nothing but his face showed concern. This is the first time I saw that handsome face turn worried.”
Shanon. “It turns out he's a good director,” his comments in order to restore the atmosphere to normal.
“Will he do the same if I was in your position?” lowy said.
“Of course,” replied Shanon quickly.
Lowy tightened his grip.
“You are very lucky.”
Shanon rolled his eyeballs in response to the babbling of his co-worker. “What other employees saw the embarrassing incident earlier?”
“What's a shame? It was the most special incident so many karywan who witnessed it.”
“Ah embarrassing once.” Shannon covered her face.
“I'll be back to work.” Lowy stood up from his seat.
As fast as lightning, Shanon also moved about to get down from the bed.
“I also have to go back.”
Not yet able to move, Lowy pressed his body until he lay back down.
“Mr. Jared forbid you to come back now. Make sure you heal before you go back to work. Eat your medicine and if it is healthy, go back to work tomorrow.”
“You sure?”
Lowy nodded then left him dumbstruck. Jared helped him so deftly? A faint smile rose on his lips. It seemed like his recklessness today brought him closer to that goal. Jared could not continue to ignore him. One day he will hold Jared in his arms again.
In a hurry, Shanon retrieves his phone and unhesitatingly calls the number. He waited for a while but received no reply. He grins. His prince was probably nervous and confused by his spontaneous behavior today. Getting the green light certainly makes Shanon increasingly intend to approach. Without a second thought he sent a short message.
Thank you for your help today. I'm fine now. It's nice to know you care. If there is time, let's meet. I'll treat you.
After successfully sending the message, Shanon grinned. Jared will definitely turn down this meeting but he won't stop. He'll see how far Jared will react when he's injured.
