Whiter

Whiter
The Part 11

Jared and Shanon were sitting in one of the Cafe chairs that Shanon had been trying to get to before. Following the long steps of this handsome man is indeed not an easy matter. Suppose he has got the title as his lover then surely Jared will be more attentive by slowing down his steps. Damn because now he was no one but acquaintances, more precisely this man's subordinate.

On the table they had served two glasses of lavender latte as well as a snack of cream puffs and earl grey banana bread. Everything looks tempting. In Shanon's heart, hope that he will not pay for all this, if he pays, hopefully he will only pay for his share.

"Good to enjoy" said Shanon very cheerful before moving quickly to pick up and sip his drink.

Jared displayed a grimacing face in front of Shanon as he enjoyed his drink.

"What's wrong?" his tanyanya was astonished by the plain look.

"Is that how you drink in front of your boss?"

"Is it wrong?"

Jared clucked with a grimacing expression. "You should let your boss eat something first before you start enjoying the dish."

Shanon. "I think it's too much in a personal moment like this."

"What do you mean personal moment?"

Shannon looked to the right and left. "You're not my boss for a while and we're not having a job meeting. There are no company employees here, so the point is this is a private meeting between you and me as ordinary humans."

Jared sipped a little of his drink before replying, "You do need to be retrained."

Shanon rolled his eyeballs because he felt his argument was quite reasonable. "In addition, the way you drink makes others no longer eager to eat anything."

Shanon sneered with eyes polishing full of annoyance. Even though the sentence was spicy, it was still a very pleasant situation. He never expected to sit together with Jared in a relaxed state without tension like this. Just looking at Jared with his casual expression had cooled Shanon's heart. How much he misses moments like this.

"What's the office situation?" Shanon starts again with the intention of hearing the manly sound from Jared continuously. Too bad the response from this man was always not in line with his expectations.

"I'm not interested in answering your question." Jared folded his hands on the table. A faint smile rose on his lips. "Aren't you the one who said that this was a personal meeting between two ordinary humans? Then suppose I don't work for the same company as you." He touched his lips pretending to be aware of something. "Since then you haven't considered me your boss either."

Fooled by Jared's counter-attack, he picked up his banana bread and violently ate it. Shanon's eyes sent a sharp sting towards the man before him. Dammit! This man always turned his sentence in return. It's the counterattack that's left him tick dead. Now what discussion is there to talk about? Impossible to talk about his home life.Must also to talk about the continuation of his plan.

Thenwhat?

Whahuh?

'It's my brain that's a little shallow. Think of. Take advantage of this moment, inner Shannon. Without realizing it his hand moved to pluck the rough banana bread in his hand. I don't know why Jared seems to be focusing on his hand. Slowly Shanon looked in the same direction. He was shocked to the point of being in his own chair. He looked at the dirty table with round eyes and then timidly smiled awkwardly at Jared.

"I'm sorry, I do have a bad habit like this" he said, cleaning the table with his hands.

Jared breathed a long breath. He thrust a tissue box at Shanon.

"Use this."

Shanon stared at the tissue box as he cursed himself. His habit of cleaning the house table if accidentally dirty it is still carried away. "Ah... Yeah." yeah." He took the tissue and removed the scattered bread.

Perhaps innocence is haunting him today. Due to hurry to clean the table, he accidentally nudged his drink until it spilled on his hand. "Damn!" he retreated a little.

Somehow his luck is always followed by bad luck, and vice versa. If Shanon could beg, just once, at least that luck was present alone without bringing his friend, the misfortune. Now his hands were wet and sticky, not to mention the already dirty table was in shambles. Shanon growled pettyly because instead of taking advantage of the moment, he had instead ruined it. A few seconds later, something surprised him. Jared, who during the meeting was being indifferent, cold and annoying, now touched his hand and wiped the rest of the drinks there.

Shannon's body is suddenly stiff while Jared is seen focusing on his work. He foresaw the opportunity by looking at Jared's perfectly handsome face. The firm and firm jaw still has not changed, even now more stunning. Shanon smiled slightly while imagining everything. If time could be stopped then he wanted time to stop right now. He still wanted to see the face of the man he wanted the most with this close distance, but desire was still desire. As soon as it happened, it was all over.

Jared and Shannon looked at him for a moment later as if instinct, Jared let go of Shanon's hand hurriedly. "Clean up before it gets sticky" Jared awkwardly said.

They decided to switch tables. It's still not as comfortable as before. Jared may feel himself overdoing it by cleaning Shanon's hands, while Shanon is too surprised to get such sweet attention from Jared. He smiled faintly considering how Jared had so carefully and gently helped him earlier.

He cleared his throat and looked at Jared, who looked like himself in the office. Damnit damnit! That expression had always been a barrier wall for Shanon to step forward. She doesn't want to be a shy woman. There would be no one to help but himself, so he began to chatter, "It turns out you still have a soft soul. I thought your heart was made of stone."

Jared squinted his eyes. "It turns out you can still be embarrassed."

Shanon's cheeks flushed hearing her response. He couldn't believe Jared could catch his response earlier.  As if unable to bear looking at each other, Shanon turned his eyes and looked for something as the center of attention.

"This morning the investigation report on the arson case has been handed to me" said Jared, who made Shanon look back at him.

His face is back to serious. "Have you seen the contents?"

Jared nodded once. "There are included photos and evidence related to the incident. You've been caught on CCTV walking towards the scene."

Shanon's heart is pounding. Is there manipulation in it? Robert was one of the investigators, could have done something to clear his name and dropped all the blame on Shanon's behalf. Power can make a person more cunning. May the truth open up and save him.

"But after you came out, the man in the hat walked in the same direction. The cctv closest to the room is not working so they find out from the cctv lobby to the closest to the room. The man entered without a hat but walked quickly and lowered his head to the reception desk. He moves like an employee who already knows the ins and outs of the office to escape the attention of security even the receptionist though. After passing through you, he used the hat he carried in the bag. The trail stops right at the last cctv," he explained which makes Shanon even more confused.

"Where can you make a decision when the facts of the field don't fully prove that I'm involved or not?"

Jared nodded in understanding. "They found another fact, which is one of the employees of the marketing department who came out of the company right when the perpetrator came out. It was not enough to prove that he was related so the investigation team conducted an interrogation. The officer declined to comment and said he did not know anything, too bad he couldn't cover it any longer because one of the interns saw him meeting someone with the same posture as the perp on the cctv after work on the same day."

Shanon breathing relieved. "Who is he? I don't remember ever arguing with a marketing clerk."

"You'll know who did it later. He wants to get you out with the intention of making his acquaintance a new receptionist after you've been expelled." Jared clucking. "He was cunning but so stupid and rash."

Shanon raised both eyebrows hearing Jared utter a sentence that was so demeaning to someone. "So I've been proven innocent?" Shannon smiled broadly. "Can I start working tomorrow? I don't want my salary to be thin anymore." Shanon is showing his face.

"You're so synonymous with misfortune, you know that?" jared's comments were so spicy to hear.

"Wrongness always comes along with luck" said Shanon so confident.

"That's a sentence that always comes from a loser."

"What did you say?" shanon said with annoyed intonation.

"Yes, a loser" repeated Jared so blatantly. "A loser always convinces himself by changing sentences to ambiguity. Such a person just wants to avoid but still wants to have hope even if only half."

"Well, you're amazing" said Shanon. "I feel like I'd like to strangle you. You're saying I'm so fucking bad?" Jared chuckled while Shanon tried to stay serious even though he was already very tired of seeing the laughter.

"Live consistently." He showed an attitude like a teacher who was advising his student. "If A then say A. B then B. Never be ambiguous or ambiguous because you will never find balance if you live in such a way. You have to be firm on one thing. If you choose luck, consider yourself always lucky. Even if you are difficult, consider yourself lucky by attracting the positive side of an event. That way you'll always be motivated and keep moving forward."

Shanon could only silently be amazed at that explanation. If previously the rate of his desire to have Jared is 100 percent then it has now increased to 1 million percent. He is the right man for all women. Just look at the way it motivates. Does Jared really care about him?

After a long silence, Shanon finally responded by folding his hands on the table then leaning his body towards Jared in front of him. His smile was so wide as he said, "Well! You are a god-faced hero. Are you sure you're not one of the nation's founding heroes?"

Jared looked at him flatly and then looked out the window. Slowly the corners of her lips formed a small indentation that signified her smiling hearing Shanon's strange comments. Seeing that, Shanon also smiled, feeling that he managed to create a precious moment with Jared.

Just when Shanon wanted to continue his sentence, Jared reached into his suit and pulled his phone. She was seen noticing what was on her phone for a few seconds before finally lifting, "Yes Olivia?"

Shanon's heart beats slowly knowing that Jared's wife is contacting her prince at this time.
