Yesterday, Shanon managed to get into Jared's car with no plans at all. Although he actually lost his wallet but the end of the incident was sweet for him. Shannon had seen Jared's shocked face clearly when he did something that was actually inappropriate for the company's leadership. Instead of regretting, Shanon was even proud of being able to do things that others might not be able to do.
Today it came early to launch the action. Shannon knows Jared always comes early. Either because he is too diligent as a leader or because he is not happy to linger in the house or maybe also because he wants to avoid the attention of employees. In essence, he had prepared for the action by asking Jimmy not to open the door for Jared. Shanon begged Jimmy to understand. He explained that it was his new assignment as a sign of apology. Jimmy understood but also had to stand beside him when he did that.
Now Shanon was already standing behind the door with a big smile on his lips. The car he was waiting for finally arrived.
"You sure about this?" jimmy asked a little doubt.
Shanon just nodded enthusiastically. "At least he'll appreciate my good intentions, won't he?"
Jimmy frowned. "So Mr. Jared doesn't know you're gonna do this?"
Shanon shook his head and caught Jimmy's shocked expression. He knew this was going to happen. Jimmy must have been afraid of the director's chatty response but Shanon was already very confident. Jimmy didn't have to be afraid because he knew what to do.
Jared got out of his car in a suit and a white shirt inside. Shanon's eyes immediately shone brightly when he saw how charming Jared was this morning. He grins. This is the time for him to act. In the heart of Shannon count down.
Three...
Two...
One.
Shannon pulled the door right as Jared was in front of her.
"Good morning Mr. Jared," he said excitedly. Jared's footsteps stopped. He looked directly at Shanon. His frowning forehead looked at Shanon and Jimmy in turn.
"Good morning Mr. Jared," said Jimmy again with a worried expression.
Jared just stared at Shanon for so long as he knew that this was all his wits. He nodded in disagreement. Even so, Shanon grinned at the feeling of winning. Jared exhaled a long breath then passed leaving them without a word.
"Oh yes!" shanon shouted while clapping his hands. "I'm great, right? You see, Jim? Mr. Jared's not mad."
Jimmy could only roll the eyeballs and then go out of the building. Shannon was shaking her lips. Jimmy wasn't as fun as he thought. Oh let it be, the important thing is that the original plan has gone according to his wishes. Then he will wait for lunch to arrive.
Shanon stood behind the reception desk. An erratic smile continued to cling to his lips. Somehow because he was too excited he did not even realize that Lowy had been standing next to him.
"Shanon, are you okay?" lowy's question made Shanon take a surprised breath. His eyes were perfectly rounded with his hands holding his chest.
"God!" screaming horror. "When have you been standing there?"
His friend could only take a deep breath while tidying up his hair.
"It seems you should learn more about sensitivity, Shany."
With pride Lowy tidied himself full of pride. Shanon can only smile a little and then return to his job. Everyone has a way of pleasing themselves, right? Lowy may be happy with just make-up and he enjoys playing around with the company leadership. How else would you like? Maybe that's the difference between humans.
Finally the moment he was waiting for arrived, lunch hour. He brought lunch as quickly as he could when the break began. He knew Jared really liked spaghetti. It might not be healthy for lunch so he also bought steak.
Shanon looked at the numbers in the elevator that would soon lead him to Jared.
15...16...17...18
Ding
Hurriedly he came out with a package of food that was still tightly grasped by him.
"Hey, Mr. Jared's inside?" ask him to Fira.
Fira showed an expression of disbelief. "You're coming again?" he stared at the package in Shanon's hand. "This time what are you going to do, Shanon? You better stay up ahead."
Shannon shrugged her shoulders. "Didn't you know? It's lunch hour. I brought food for Mr. Jared's." With a chin, Shanon hinted into the room. "Just tell me, is the director on the inside?"
Fira shakes. "Mrs. Jared is busy. He can't be bothered now."
Eye of Shannon squealing. "Did he keep me from coming in?"
"Thank God if you're conscious of yourself."
Shanon tightened his lips. A coward!
"Alright," said Shanon as if there was no problem. He placed the food on Fira's table. "Can I borrow a pen?"
Fira frowned making Shanon roll his eyeballs. He extended his hand. "Pena," he said again.
He gave the pen to Shanon. Without further ado he drew a piece of paper there and wrote. A slanted smile rose on her lips when she finished with her writing. Shannon rolled up the paper and put it in her lunch bag. Shanon thrusts it at Fira.
"Give this lunch to Mr. Jared's. I put a piece of paper in it. Tell me the letter's important, okay? Thanks."
He left without waiting for a reply from Fira.
If he is lucky, the food will reach the person he is going to.
"Yes?" answer's short.
"Good day Mr. Jared's. I'm holding lunch for you. Shanon from the reception that delivered it. Are you..."
"Dispose," said Jared firmly almost hang up the phone.
"But Mr. Jared, he put a letter in it. He said it was important. Don't you want to read it?"
Jared rolled his eyeballs. Since the morning the woman showed a lot of strange behavior. Just because he gave me a ride last night doesn't mean his relationship with that woman is very close. He breathed a long breath.
"Bring here." Jared hung up.
He is again busy with paper piling up on his desk when Fira enters. Jared didn't even look. He only heard his secretary's obedient greeting before the package of food was placed almost on the edge of his grand table.
"Good lunch, Mr. Jared," said Fira, which made him wonder why his secretary thought he would eat food from the stranger?
Jared was just a little curious about what the woman wrote for him. What else is he going to show this time?
He sighed, pulling the package right as Fira left the room. Jared pulled out the food box that contained the steak. He frowned, put the box down then pulled out another box he opened and it turned out to contain spaghetti, his favorite food. How could it be so coincidental?
Jared reached into the package. Finally he found what he was looking for. He opened the paper and began to read.
Good day Mr. Jared, jared,
I'll have lunch for you.
Oh yeah, you barred me from entering, I get it, but isn't that the most intrepid act of a company leader against an employee who's apologizing?
No problem but you're a little disappointing.
If you want to answer this, call me. You have my number.
Shannon
The scream on Jared's forehead went deeper. First, this woman was already being disrespectful towards him with that informal phrase. Secondly, he had already blatantly said that he, the director of the company, was a coward. He thinks who he is! How dare such a woman organize what is appropriate and inappropriate for her to do. Even his wife never did anything like this.
Jared growled, opened the drawer and found the woman's mobile number. Shannon. This woman had a pretty name but her behavior did not reflect something as beautiful as that name. Jared cursed himself. Why did he get too much into that woman's trap?
Quickly he dialed Shanon's number with his backup phone. On the second ring, Shanon replied.
"Hello? Who's there with?" ask her in a soft voice. Jared gnashed his teeth almost unable to dampen his arrogance over Shanon's behavior.
"You want to get in trouble with me?" his jolt with his hands clenched.
"Oh, Mr. Jared?" shanon's voice sounded calm and even joyful. For a moment Jared felt ridiculous. This is what the woman wanted. Shanon wants him to do everything he wants and foolishly he is trapped again.
"You don't have a job?" cynical growling. "You want me to fire you right now?"
There was a tired sigh from Shanon there. "If you wanted to do that then you would have done it on my first or second mistake, Mr. Jared," said Shanon so calmly.
"I've got your attention."
Jared growling. "You shouldn't be too confident, Shanon."
"Should I be afraid?" Serious feigned tone was so obvious in his voice. "You need me, Mr. Jared's. Admit it, because I need you too."
"Are you crazy?!" jared shouted in amazement.
Shanon laughing. "I'm crazy because of you."
"Stop your bullshit before you regret it" he threatened to grow increasingly annoyed with Shanon's deceit. He almost closed the connection when he heard a soft sentence from her.
"A sweet kiss between us wouldn't be a piece of crap, Jared Walter. I waited for that moment to arrive. Enjoy your lunch." The connection ended up leaving Jared with a million questions in his mind.
What's wrong with this woman?
What's so special about him?
Within a few days he had ruined his days. Jared is at least happy if his job is interrupted but why if this woman is the one doing it then she can't do anything?
Jared was eager to fire him. In seconds she can make the woman lift foot from her company but why does it feel so difficult? He was a little worried. Has the behavior beyond the limits of Shanon inadvertently given a new color in his daily life? Is it true that Shanon's mischief has comforted him?
Jared pinched his forehead.
Who is that woman really?
Why does he always make her curious?
