Wanara Project
Chaptre 58. Convictions

The battle between Yuna and Rama ended in a draw. Both have amazing abilities.

Dirga, Galih and Ayu are still amazed by what Rama and Yuna are showing. They feel a little inferior with the difference in ability, but not in the least they show it. The only expression they showed was admiration. They were also convinced that one day they could be as strong as Rama and Yuna.

Dirga, Galih and Ayu enter the arena of the match. Now it's their turn to show off their teeth. Dirga had taken out his kerambit, Galih had worn a harness and held a sword while Ayu had displayed the beauty of his wings.

As usual, Dirga carried out an attack initiative. He disappeared from sight and quickly appeared behind Galih to then make an attack. Although Galih knew the pattern of attacks that Dirga was going to make, he still failed to anticipate it. Dirga's attack hit Galih's back and caused considerable damage to his armor.

Ayu could not do much because she did not expect that Dirga would carry out such an attack at all.

After attacking Galih, Dirga disappeared again and appeared right behind Ayu who was flying. Without further ado, Dirga slashed the two wings of Ayu who had yet to notice her presence. Galih's flank slash inflicted severe damage to Ayu's wings, causing him to fall. Thankfully Ayu was still able to control her shattered wings for a moment before hitting the ground and spared a fatal wound. Galih and Ayu did not dwell in front of Dirga at all.

“Check, are you okay?”

“One time just slashed Kak Dirga managed to destroy my wings. Even though the wings were merely a manifestation of energy, it still gave off tremendous pain. But why did Brother Dirga reach me?”

“Now, Dirga is great. But if the two of us cannot defeat him, how could we possibly catch up to Rama and Yuna.”

“Then what should we do, Brother? We can't set a trap like Brother Yuna. The movement of Kak Dirga absolutely cannot stop us. Both long-range and close-range attacks, Brother Dirga can definitely sense them very easily. Are we trying to survive?”

“That would be a waste, he could make a punch that resonates his energy with the energy we have. Instead of defending, the blow will make the energy we have actually adversely affect ourselves.”

“So absolutely no chance?”

“To what extent can you control the wind?”

“I can make a big wind vortex and combine it with energy feathers resulting in a deadly fatal attack.”

“Besides?”

“I can also make a wind dome to survive. But not only to survive, the wind dome can also destroy any object that touches it.”

“Great. Can you flap your wings to produce a wind attack with a wide range?”

“I've never tried it.”

“Alright, it's worth a try.”

Then Galih explained the plan he had made to deal with the abilities Dirga had. Ayu understood the plan well and they prepared to counterattack.

“Have finished the discussion?” Ask Dirga.

“Thank you for giving us a little time. Prepare.”

Ayu took out her wings that had re-spread beautifully. It flew quite high and flapped its two wings quite strongly. A great wind was created from the flapping of those wings.

Dirga found it a little difficult to survive such a strong wind flow. But with his speed, he disappeared and lunged at that stream of wind. Dirga appeared right beside Galih and shook off the two kerambit he was holding. But Galih realized that and managed to stop Dirga's attack using his sword.

This time Galih tried to take over the attack. He slashed his sword very brutally yet on target. Every swing of the sword that Galih did precisely led to a point that was extremely difficult for Dirga to avoid. Dirga disappeared again to avoid fatal injuries. Ayu stopped the flapping of her wings as Dirga stepped back.

“Your combination of strengths is great. Ayu created a very strong wind flow that forced me to move at a higher speed and of course spent more energy. Unfortunately again, even though I had moved very quickly, the wind flow showed the direction of my movement so that Galih could anticipate the attack I was doing. You guys are so clever. But the fight will be over soon.”

“You have always been confident.” Galih.

Ayu did not return to flapping her wings. Dirga again disappeared from view and did a hard blow to Ayu's heart. Not stopping there, Dirga returned to shake his kerambit very quickly until Ayu's wings were destroyed and no longer usable. He fell to the ground so quickly. Galih is very surprised by Dirga's sudden attack and runs as fast as possible to help Ayu. It was just that the distance between Galih and Ayu was quite far. But luckily Dirga was able to move faster. Dirga managed to help Ayu who almost hit the ground.

After Dirga helped Ayu, he again disappeared and carried out attacks against Galih. Galih did not have the opportunity to take out his shield and only survived using his armor. His armor was indeed very strong, but no matter how strong the armor was, if it were to get such an intense and powerful attack like this, it would certainly be destroyed as well. Sure enough, it didn't take long for Dirga to smash the armor and lash out a punch to finish the match. Dirga's fist stopped right in front of Galih's flabbergasted face and did not twitch at all.

“No need to be disappointed. You guys are great.” Dirga.

“What's great?! You don't even look like trouble at all.” Answer Galih coldly and step away leaving Dirga and Ayu who are still in the arena of the match. Dirga was a little surprised by the reaction shown by his friend. But Dirga remains convinced that Galih will rise again and become the person he knew before.

“Check, sorry if I overdone it. Are your wounds severe enough?”

“No need to apologize, brother. Brother is not wrong, but indeed we are too weak.” Reply Ayu who also left Dirga and followed Galih down the arena match.

He was disappointed in his two friends. Especially to Galih who looks the most mature in comparison

other team members. He did not expect that the defeat would have a bad impact on the mental condition of both of them. Dirga went down the arena with a gloomy face.

“What-what are you two?! What kind of attitude is that?!” Shouted Rama.

Dirga, Galih and Ayu were shocked by the shout.

“You became crybaby like a baby just because you were defeated by one person. I'm disappointed.” Reciprocity.

“Don't be brash. You who from the beginning are already very strong will never know what we are currently feeling!” Galih returned Rama's scream.

“Article…! What nonsense is it...?!” Rama's screams became louder.

“Have you ever lived on the streets? Do you ever worry about being caught by security guards and rotting in jail? Have you ever been afraid of starving to death? You can talk like that.”

Galih and Ayu fell silent.

“If you feel weak, blame yourself for not trying to be strong. You think Dirga gained that power instantly? Do you feel you have tried harder than Dirga so that you have the right to demand greater results? Efforts will never betray results. If you lose now, it means your efforts are no greater than Dirga. Don't just complain and whine like a baby. Keep fighting to get to the top. I know the journey to the top is not easy, that's what friends are for. Even though we go through a steep and winding road, there will always be friends who help. But you're acting like that to your own friends. Pathetic...!”

“Already Rama, no need to be too hard. Looks like they already understand.” Darma.

“I'm sorry.” Galih.

“Allow me to do a rematch against Dirga.” Reciprocity.

“Of course. I'm anyone anytime.” Dirga said with a smile.

“Are you sure you can beat Dirga?” Rama asked who suddenly appeared right in front of Galih.

“I'm not sure, but I want to try it again.” Answer Galih.

“The first thing you should change is that mindset. No matter how strong your opponent is, the confidence to win must remain. Because that belief will turn into a motivation that can be a trigger to exceed the limits of your own abilities.” Rama.

“As long as that belief has not been imprinted in your heart, no matter how many times you challenge Dirga, you will never be able to defeat him.” Reciprocity.

“I understand. Thank you Rama. I promise I will train harder and become stronger.”

“I also.” Sahut Ayu's.

Galih and Ayu regained confidence. Dirga and Darma smiled proudly at what Rama had just said. While Julia and Yuna looked more amazed by the figure of Rama.
