Chapters 4. Onyx

“Wanara... I am coming!!” Rama shouted with great excitement.

“If so please return to sit Mr. Rama” pinta Julia to Rama.

Rama who could not control his spirit seemed to blush in shame at Julia's words. Rama walked back to the chair he had been given. To control himself, Rama drank tea and ate snacks that had been served before.

“I will continue the conversation that was delayed. Please Mr. Rama to listen well until I finish explaining so as not to have any more unnecessary misunderstandings.” Julia restarted the conversation.

“Good Julia...” Answer Rama briefly.

Then Julia explained everything Rama needed to know when joining Project Wanara.

“As I explained earlier that Mr. Rama does not have to worry about shelter and food as long as you are part of this Wanara Projact. We will also provide an allowance every month for you. That's the first thing you need to know.”

“In addition to Project Wanara, simultaneously Pandawa Group also runs 5 other projects where all projects have the same goal. If Mr Rama noticed the room along the hallway, there are several doors with different name labels, right? These rooms are the registration places for each project that is being run by Pandawa Group.”

“Although these six projects have the same goal, they still have different priority levels. The best project with the highest priority is Dasamuka, followed by Anantareja in second place, Dewabrata in third place, then Punakawan in fourth place, Brahma in fifth and Wanara in sixth.”

“So far does anyone want Mr Rama to ask?” Julia stopped her explanation and allowed Rama to ask.

“Ya Julia... I am still curious why I can still join the women's project even though I am not the original owner of this invitation?” Rama again asked with polite and friendly grammar.

“Actually we ourselves do not really know anyone who gets an invitation. This was decided by the Pandavas. Instructions given to us are only to treat anyone who brings the invitation well according to the procedure.” Julia answered calmly.

“Para Pandawa? Who's that?” ask Rama about the astonishment.

“Of course the Pandawa Group executives. Great people who built this company.” Julia said.

“This invitation seems like something very valuable until the leader of Pandawa Group itself decides who is entitled to receive the invitation” thought Rama.

“Then Julia... Project Wanara is at the last priority, why is that? and what advantages do other projects get that are more prioritized?” Rama asked Julia a question.

“It will take a little time if I have to answer the question, so it would be better if Mr Rama continues the next registration procedure. Over time, you will increasingly understand the differences between each project” Julia replied straightforwardly.

“What the fuck with that answer.. I think I have a lot of time here..” thought Rama.

“Well if that is so. What's the next procedure?” ask Rama.

“Please wait a minute Mr. Rama.” Julia said.

Julia stood up and opened the closet in the right corner of the room. Julia looked carefully at taking a box from inside. After that, Julia went back to Rama and sat in his place and gave the box to Rama.

“Please Mr Rama open. It was a sign that Mr. Rama had joined Project Wanara.” Julia gave an explanation.

Rama took the box and opened it slowly.

“What…? A Ring…? He's not proposing to me, is he?” rama thought at the time.

“It is Onyx Ring. Please use it Mr Rama” said Julia.

“Of course this is not a proposal, you idiot. Ha ha ha.” thought Rama.

“So after I use this ring, I officially joined Project Wanara?” ask Rama.

“Iya exactly Mr.” Reply Julia Briefly.

Onyx ring is a symbol of the existence of someone in Project Wanara made with modern technology so that it can help its users to unlock their potential. Onyx rings are black in color which comes from the main raw material of manufacture, namely Black Onyx Stone and has a bright white carving.

When he wanted to wear the ring, doubts came back to Rama.

A flash flashed through Rama's mind about the amount of money he had promised to receive each month.

“What else should I worry about? Ha ha ha ha.” Think Rama.

Rama immediately took out a ring inside the box and wore it on his thumb.

“It looks like this ring is too small Julia.” Rama spoke to Julia.

“If so try the host on another finger that is appropriate.” Julia answered with a slight annoyance.

“Looks like I mispronounced, just this time Julia looks annoyed.” Rama thought with a little worry.

Then Rama tried to use the ring on his little finger. Sure enough, the size of the Onyx Ring fits perfectly with Rama's little finger. Rama raised his hand up to see if the ring fit on his finger. Not long after…

“Aarghhhh..” Rama screamed in pain.

The Onyx ring makes a strange vibration and feels smaller and narrower than the previous size. It made Rama feel very sick. The ring seems to be getting smaller.

Rama kept screaming and saw the ring on his little finger…

“What is this Julia….? Are you setting me up.??!!” Rama screamed and rebuked Julia.

“The ring is an object made by the Pandavas themselves. Specially designed with nano cutting technology made by Pandawa Group. By being triggered by the heat of the human body, the Onyx Ring nanoparticles can fuse with their owners sometime after use.” Julia tried to explain.

“Particles nano constituent ring will be absorbed into your body sir. That is why this ring looks smaller. This is the first stage to awaken the potential you have. It will hurt a little, but you have to go through this stage.” added Julia.

“Aarghhhh..” Rama continued to scream in pain and did not respond to Julia's words in the slightest.

After a while, all the particles of the Onyx Ring were absorbed into Rama's body and were completely invisible to Rama's little finger. However, Rama's screams did not immediately stop. Instead, Rama screamed louder than ever. Slowly from the pinky finger where the Onyx Ring was installed, a burn scar appears and continues to spread to the area of Rama's hand. Julia and Darma are shocked and confused by the events they are witnessing. They've never seen this happen before. Based on their experience, after the Onyx Ring is attached, the pain suffered is only a few seconds, which is when the Onyx Ring is absorbed and united with the wearer of the ring.

“Julia.. What happened to this?” Darma screamed in panic and asked Julia.

“Entahlah Darma, I don't know either. It's unprecedented” Julia answered with worry.

“What should we do now?” ask Darma.

“There is nothing we can do. We can only wait for Rama to make it through. I myself do not know how long this will last.” Answer Julia.

Darma and Julia could only see Rama screaming in pain. Burn scars continue to spread throughout Rama's body. Most of Rama's body is like getting a blackish-red tattoo. Rama's screams became increasingly tight as the burn scars spread to the face. When the burn scars reached the forehead, Rama screamed so much that he lost consciousness.

“What is this done?” ask Darma.

“Entahlah..” replied Julia briefly.

But the strange thing did not stop there, the scar of blackish-red burns like the tattoo that filled most of Rama's body slowly disappeared and did not leave any traces. Along with the loss of burn marks on Rama's body, he slowly began to regain consciousness.

“Are you okay Mr Rama?” ask Julia.

“Am I in heaven? Am I looking at angels now?” Rama muttered involuntarily upon seeing Julia.

Julia was surprised and blushed embarrassed by Rama's words, whereas Darma could only sigh deeply.
