After waiting for about 10 minutes, finally a male doctor came out from inside the ER room. Seeing the doctor, Fera and the others immediately approached him with a feeling of extreme anxiety.
"Dok, how's my Mom doing Doc?" Ask Fera in a loud voice.
"Sorry Mba. Your mother cannot be saved! He died on the way here!" The answer. Hearing the doctor's words, Fera, Fatimah, and her parents, were shocked not playing. Especially Fera. Mother Khulsum's youngest child, immediately screamed hysterically, upon hearing that her mother was dead.
"No way!!! You can't die!!!" He shouted with all his might. Fera ran and broke into the ER room. Fatimah and her parents ran after Fera.
Arriving inside the ER room, Fera saw a person lying on a bed with his entire body covered in a blanket. Fera, who still could not believe that her mother, whom she loved so much, had died, hurriedly asked a nun who was beside the figure covered by the blanket.
"Sus! Where is My Mother??? She's not My Mom is she Sus???"
"This is Mom, Mba. Mba's mother died when she didn't get to the hospital." Answer it kindly.
"No!!! No way!!! It's definitely not my mom!!!" He shouted hysterically. Fera also flashed towards the right side of the figure lying on the bed. Without any hesitation, he quickly opened the blanket that covered his face. When the blanket was successfully opened, Fera immediately remained silent with both eyes glaring.
In the presence of Fera, her younger sister that day saw with her own two eyes that the person lying on the bed in front of her was her own biological mother. Fera immediately shouted out loudly and directly hugged the body of his mother who was still motionless with both eyes closed. Her tears flowed hard. To the extent that the fall soaked the face of the late mother of Khulsum.
"S......!!!"
"Innalilahi wainailaihi roji'un!" Fatimah and her parents said together, as those standing behind Fera saw the face of a woman lying on the bed.
"Patient and stoic, yes Fera!" Bu Asmi tried to calm Fera by rubbing her right shoulder.
"Emak, don't stay with Fera alone!" Fera lamented his departure.
"Take the death of Khulsum's mother, Fera! It is God's destiny!" Pinta Abah's.
"For you to come home and return Mas Hari's engagement ring, Mother is dead!!!" His shouting.
"It's God's destiny, Fera! Rizki, soul mate, and death, it's all written in the far reaches of mahfudz! So, no one can avoid it. No more words came out of Fera's mouth. All that was heard was the sound of her heart-wrenching sobs.
"The Betul that Abah said, Fera! My mother's age is only up to this day! Better get our dead bodies home now, Fera!" Fatimah's Advice.
Not waiting for a long time, the late mother Khulsum was brought back to her residence which was not too far from the hospital in Solo City.
About 20 minutes on the way, the ambulance finally arrived in front of his late mother Khulsum. The sound of siren ambulances that broke the silence of the night, made some of the late neighbors of the mother Khulsum come to the house. One of the residents, some rushed to report that the mother of Khulsum had died, to a modin or Pak Kaum. Pak Kaum also immediately gave an information call through the mosque in the courtyard where the late Emak Khulsum lived.
After learning that Khulsum's mother had died, the citizens returned to the house of the late. Including relatives of his family, Khulsum Mother, who still lives in one village with him. No exception to those living outside the city. Once given the news of the grief, they rushed to his late mother Khulsum's house.
It was a very sad night for Fera. That night, he heard no more the voice of the mouth of the woman who had given birth and raised him. Although Fera was aware, since their return from Jakarta about a month ago, Mother was more alone and silent in her room.
The cool, sunny morning became a gloomy morning for Fera. Moreover, while he was feeling a deep sense of sadness, the figure of his own elder brother was not at his side. Only the cousin and brother of the deceased's sister and her late mother and mother attempted to appease Fera's heart.
After being bathed, pardoned, and prayed, the dead body of the late Emak Khulsum was delivered to his final resting place. Residents flocked to take the deceased to the cemetery on foot.
After being buried and reciting prayers, one by one the residents returned home to each other. But Fera remained silent on the right side of her mother's belly button.
"Let's go home, Fer! My mom is calm in nature! Now it's Fera to always pray for the deceased!" The advice of a woman who stood to the right of Fera.
"Now I have no one! Rama and Mama are gone. But Hari does not know where it is. He may have left this world too. Go leave Fera alone. Letting Fera live a kara." He lamented his unfortunate fate. Her tears were endlessly flowing down both of her cheeks.
"Don't say that, Fera! You still have Miss Lik Shamsiyah, Budhe Maryatun, Mr. Lik Basuki, and the others!" The reply.
"They are busy with their families! Only Rama, Mommy, and Mas Hari are the most meaningful people in my life! But now, they had left this mortal world. My life is now lonely without them. My life now feels meaningless." Fera Say.
"It's not good to talk like that, Fera! Your future is long! You have to be passionate to move on! After all, not necessarily Mas Hari had died. Who knows, one day he'll be back home!" Reply to the woman in black.
"Mba Fatimah why not wait for Mas Hari to come home? Is Mba Fatimah no longer in love with Mas Hari? Did Mba Fatimah not miss the same Mas Hari? Can you wait to get married?" Fera asked as she turned her face towards the woman beside her.
"I still love Mas Hari, Fera! My love never lessened! The longing in my heart towards Mas Hari, will never be finished! But on the other hand, I also can not if I have to wait for Mas Hari to come home, until the time that does not know whether until when!" The answer of the woman is none other than Fatimah.
"Mba Fatimah is not sure Mas Hari is coming home! Same with me, Mba! But as Mas Hari's younger brother, I was sincere when Mba Fatimah married another woman!" She said with her tears dripping back on her cheeks. Hearing Fera's words, Fatimah immediately hugged Fera's body tightly. Her tears flooded her beautiful face. Fera also embraced the body of the woman who wanted to become her brother-in-law, but that hope has now disappeared from the heart of Fera. After quite a long embrace, they slowly walked away from the burial area by hand-in-hand.
