Suffering Comes Alternately

  Arriving in Jakarta, Mr. Teddy immediately took Yos to the hospital. Aided by the sisters, Yos was dealt with directly inside the ER room. While Mr. Teddy waited at the door with anxious and worried feelings.

  After waiting for about 15 minutes, a female doctor finally came out from inside the ER room. Mr. Teddy got up from his seat and went straight to him.

  "What's the state of my son's eyes, Doc?" Mr. Teddy was very worried.

  "I'm sorry Sir! Both of my son's eyes are broken!" The answer.

  "Destroyed how Doc?" Ask Mr. Teddy loudly.

  "Both of the eyes of the father's son, the sclera and corneas have been damaged by a very hard object! Can you tell me, what happened before?" Ask the doctor back.

  "My son was kidnapped Doc! As soon as I saw his eyes, it was already the way it was, Doc!" The answer.

  "According to my estimation, both eyes of your son were injured by the kidnapper using a rubber bullet! Because the sclera broke!" Said.

  "Rubber bullet? So both of my kids' eyes were shot Doc?" Ask Mr. Teddy as if he did not believe it.

  "Most likely so sir!" The answer.

  "Can I still be healed Doc?"

  "It can't be sir. Unless someone wants to donate both eyes to your son!"

  "How are you doing now Doc?" Mr. Teddy is very confused.

  "Better son of Father brought home. Before you go home, please finish all the administration first. Yes I lived first Sir." The answer. The doctor also left Mr. Teddy who was still silent with a very chaotic mind. If his body is not strong, he may be unconscious.

  With his shaky steps, Mr. Teddy walked towards the administration section. Finished paying off all of Yos's treatment costs, Mr. Teddy returned to the ER room.

  Feeling deeply guilty, Mr. Teddy slowly opened the door to the ER room. He put his foot into the room.

  When he was in the ER room, Mr. Teddy's body shook violently. The tears that he had been holding back from now on, finally fell flooding his face. Meanwhile, knowing that someone had opened the door and entered the ER room, Yos rushed up to sit on the bed.

  "Who? Doctor huh? How Doc, my eyes are healing, right? I can see again, can't I, Doc?" Ask Yos. Hearing his words, Mr. Teddy could only cry as he pleased. After waiting for a few seconds there was no answer, Yos finally made a sound.

  "Doc! Why don't you answer my question?" Hearing his question, Mr. Teddy immediately ran up to Yos body and hugged him tightly.

  "You who? Why crying?" Ask Yos confused.

  "Jos, forgive Father Yos! It's all my fault! It's all because of me!" Shouted Mr. Teddy hysterically.

  "Sir Teddy! Like I said. It's not all Dad's fault! All is the destiny of God! I can still see again! My eyes can be healed! Is that right, sir?" Josh asked with hope.

  "Both your eyes are broken, Josh! The doctor said it could not be cured! He said it was because of a hard object! The doctor said your eyes could have been hit by a rubber bullet fired by the kidnapper!" Answer a little nervously.

  "O Allah, my Lord! What sins? Why did my ordeal come in alternating? When I was in an accident and still lost my memory, now coupled with my two eyes can no longer see!" Shouted Yos loudly. Her tears fell down her cheeks.

  "One more time I'm sorry to you, Yos! This is all my fault! If it were, I wouldn't have hit you. You will not know me. You won't lose your memory and get involved in this kidnapping! Surely you will not bear this heavy burden, Yos!" Mr. Teddy lamented the fate of Yos.

  "All are written by God! Maybe it's a life ordeal I have to live." Yos lowered his head. Her tears were constantly flowing down her cheeks.

  "Now let's go home Yos!" Her request.

  "Yes sir." Answer Yos flat. Mr. Teddy also helped Yos down from the bed. Then Mr. Teddy led Yos to a parked car in the front parking lot of the hospital lobby. After the two of them had boarded the car, Mr. Teddy rushed to start the engine and stepped on the gas pedal slowly. The car drove slowly away from the hospital. On the way to Mr. Teddy's house, Yos remained silent.

  "What do you want to eat Yos? You haven't eaten in the morning!" Ask Mr. Teddy while driving his car.

  "I'm not hungry sir." Answer's flat.

  "We eat in restaurants usually Yos! You like the roast chicken!" Her speech.

  "You must still be very angry with Father Yos! I understand all of that, Yos! Who doesn't get angry when they know they can't see anymore!" Her speech.

  "I'm sorry Sir! I don't mean that! But I need time to accept this harsh reality." The reply.

  "Yes Yos. You understand how you feel." Said.

  Arriving in front of the house, Mr. Teddy helped Yos down from the car and led him to the front door of the house.

  "Who?" Bi Ginah asked as soon as she heard the sound of knocking on the door.

  "It's Me Bi!" The reply.

  "Shortly Sir!" Bi Ginah walked towards the front door. Vanya followed behind him. Slowly Bi Ginah opened the locked door. When the door opened, he was very surprised to see a man who was to the left of Mr. Teddy.

  "O Allah, O Rabbi!!! Mas Yos, what happened to you? Why is it like this?" Bi Ginah asked hysterically. Hearing his words, Vanya directly advanced to the right side of Bi Ginah.

  "Yes...! Is that you, Mas Yos?" Vanya was stifled when she saw Josh's eyes.

  "Yes it's Me Vanya, Auntie! This is all the kidnappers did! When I was unconscious, they beat me up. They also broke both my eyes. Now I can't see Auntie and Vanya's face anymore." Yos is very sad.

  "Be careful on the road!" Her request.

  "yes Om. Assalamu'alaikum." Vanya also walked quickly to the bicycle parked in front of the house.

  "Wa'alaikumsalam." Replied Bi Ginah and Mr. Teddy together. Yos was silent.

  "Vanya's in a hurry to get home!" It's in the heart.

  "We will eat Yos!" Pinta Mr. Teddy.

  "I ate in the room, sir." The answer.

  "Yes it's okay. Bi, please get me something to eat together to make some warm tea for Yos!" His order.

  "Good Sir." Reply Bi Ginah. Teddy again led Yos to his room.
