Chapter 7

“Then now what are we going to do, Re? Everything's been ruined. You gave your heart to a foolish man.” Surya bowed. Seeing the princess who was still silent a thousand languages, made her even more confused.

“Quiet, Pi, we—”

“Quiet how, Mi?” Surya stared intently at his wife. “For love, because of that stupid man, we must bear shame! Wanna put where papi's face is, Mi?”

“All papi business associates have been invited Regina. Without permission!” Surya. “Dan, now they're all waiting for us. Waiting for a wedding that was even ruined before it started!”

Hadi and Kevin were still at the door of the hotel room. They saw something new this time. A woman is left alone before marriage. Kevin's eyes never moved from Regina's. He looked at the poor woman's face with a look of pity. It was better to vent his anger like Surya, saying all the anger in his heart. Not with Regina. The woman remained silent, looking at the wall blankly. Kevin's heart said something, that he had to step foot in to get into the room.

“Master, sorry, I want to talk.”

Everyone in the room turned, except Regina.

“Sorry, maybe what I'm saying this sounds very disrespectful and seems to interfere. But, I feel like I should say it.” Kevin spoke politely.

“Iya, say.” Solar responded.

Kevin looked at the clock on his wrist. “Now it's 10 o'clock. The guests are still waiting. And as you said earlier, that all business associates and family have come to watch your daughter's wedding.”

Surya and Ira looked at Kevin intently, looking for answers to what the man standing before them was saying.

“Sorry, I want to replace the groom at pelaminan.”

Suddenly, everyone was stunned as soon as they heard the words from Kevin. Except Regina. His ears did hear, but he did not care about anything.

Everyone asks themselves. Hadi gawked as soon as he heard it. What did Kevin talk about? Is he serious?

“You mean?” Surya asked.

“Sorry, Sir, I am indeed presumptuous. But your daughter ...,”

“Once again I apologize, Sir. I swear, I have no bad intentions. I just tried—”

“Stand Regina, quickly go to pelaminan and marry her.” Solar cut off Kevin's speech.

“Papi?” Ira wanted an explanation from her husband. How is it possible to give up her only daughter to marry a man they have only met once. Coupled with the reality that Regina had just received.

Surya's approaching Kevin. “You are serious with your words and intentions?”

Kevin nodded for sure. His heart felt sorry to see Regina. “Honestly, Sir, I'm sorry to see your daughter. He did not show any reaction after reading the letter. Look, she just kept quiet when I volunteered to replace the groom.”

Yes, Surya certainly also felt pity. He was afraid that his daughter was reckless, whatever it was.

“Let me bring Regina as wife, Sir, for the next ... I will hand it over to Regina.” Kevin.

Surya nodded in understanding. “Good. Please take care of my only daughter, Kevin. I know, you won't let her down.”

“Hadi, please get me my suit.” Kevin gave the order as he walked out of the room towards the ballroom.

Hadi railed various questions to his superiors. And the answer that Hadi got really showed that his boss was not playing games.

Finished the wedding drama that was held by the WO with the poor bride who was left by the groom. All the invitations have gone home. And now Kevin will take Regina home to his parents. Kevin thought, it is not good if they stay at the hotel, especially in the bridal room. Regina's gonna get hurt more.
