Tonight the moon is shining brightly even though it is not yet full. The sky was clear without clouds, showing off millions of stars.
Some members of the lascars moved towards the direction of the Silver Overlay (place name) by avoiding the public streets.
They had just done the destruction on the Railway line from Medan - Aceh in the vicinity of the lalang (also the name of the place).
The number of the group was eleven.
They managed to dismantle several pieces of iron, part of the railway crossing after about three hours of trying.
They hid some of the iron tracks in the bushes far enough away from the railway track, so that the company could not find them.
While one piece with a size of about one meter they carry it by carrying it alternately.
After walking about two kilometers to the southeast, the leader of the army invited his members to rest.
"We rested for a while, there seems to be no sign of his company people following".
"Hopefully they also do not realize that there is a section of the crossing rail that we take" said Awang, the leader of the small group.
"Let their train overturn when it passes there" he continued and chuckled.
They stopped at a place surrounded by grass quite high.
"Actually we can move faster if we do not bring this rail bar" said one of the members.
"I think we can use it in blacksmiths, this is very strong steel, can be used as a machete or knife" said Awang.
"I'm just saying we can move faster if we don't bring this piece of rail, it doesn't mean I don't agree we're taking it" replied the Awang member, chuckling.
"Yes steel of this size in blacksmiths can be used as a lot of useful equipment" said another member.
Warriors do prefer to use traditional weapons, machete, sword, spear or bow. More useful and does not cause noise in guerrilla warfare like this.
"About three more kilos we take these pieces of steel to Ncik Dolah's house, you can still do it?", asked Awang while biting the grass that had just been in the map.
Its members only laughed softly at the degrading Awang speech. They have known their leader for a long time who likes to joke.
"We do not need to rush, and we can take turns to carry it" Awang continued.
After a short rest they continued their journey.
An hour later they arrived at the house of Ncik Dolah the blacksmith. The house was very far from other settlements, remote.
That's because Ncik Dolah does not want the noise of his work to disturb the neighbors.
And most importantly, that way he's safe working for lascars.
They entered the courtyard of the house. Around the house there were still many large trees and weeds. The courtyard of the house in the morning with a wood yam plant.
The house has a working room, on the side. The room was quite large, and it seemed that the fire was still burning in the furnace, bright to the courtyard, but there was no sound of hammer knocking or anything heard.
Because they are quite familiar, Awang came and just went inside the workshop room.
"Gosh" he said as soon as he looked into the room. In a disheveled room, Ncik Dolah was found lifeless, lying on the floor.
His face was shattered like being bitten by a wild beast. His body was full of wounds, torn to shreds.
Left hand, leg, missing part.
Blood everywhere.
On the walls of the room there are also visible traces of blood in the form of scratches, such as the scars of wild animals.
The others came in to look and were shocked.
It seems that Ncik Dolah had time to put up a fight because in his hand he was holding a machete. Although there was no sign of the machete had hit something.
"Growing out, find out who knows there are other survivors, Ncik Dolah lives with his wife and a granddaughter. And be careful who knows the attacking creatures are still around here" said Awang.
The Awang people immediately spread out, it was not difficult to search this not-so-large house.
They found Ncik Dolah's wife lying lifeless beside the well behind the house, there were many wounds also found on the middle-aged woman's body, the largest wound on her nape, and the largest wound on her neck, he was probably in the back. Some parts of the body were also missing.
A member of Awang immediately ran over and reported. "The only wife we found, she's dead too".
The crew walked out into the courtyard and saw some of its people searching.
"Did anyone find anything?" ask Awang. They're shaken.
"Hamid, is there something?" ask Awang.
Awang asked like that because he saw Hamid standing stunned like he was staring at something.
Hamid did not reply, he looked towards the collection of banana trees beside the house, the dark part was not exposed to light.
Everything in the courtyard turned towards Hamid, Awang smelled bad and pulled the cleaver from the waist, preparing.
Hamid retreated slowly followed by a monstrous figure who stepped forward, the creature was only a few steps away before him.
The figure was in the shape of a black wolf, with yellow eyes.
What was terrifying was that this wolf was as big as an ox.
The wolf approached Hamid while growling to show off its pointed teeth.
"Hamid, don't move suddenly, just retreat slowly" Awang said, while speaking like that he gestured to his friend who was holding a spear to hand the spear to him.
The spear was already in his grasp, Awang threw as much as his spear power at the wolf which was about five meters in front of him.
"Because" said some Awang members who watched.
It seems like the spear that Awang threw was right hitting the head of the creature.
"Kretk.krtk.the sound of a broken twig beside Awang. From behind the fence of the yam plant another figure moved quickly and a scratch hit his left shoulder. Affected by a sudden attack Awang was thrown and immediately rolled over.
Everything in the courtyard was startled, and immediately unsheathed the weapon.
They stared at the Awang attacker, who was no less terrible than the giant wolf.
"Damn it, what is this thing?" batin Awang while holding his bleeding left shoulder.
The entire army was already gathered in the courtyard.
A member of the Laskar appeared with a six-year-old girl who he found hiding in a chicken coop.
The little girl immediately screamed at the creatures, she recognized the creature that killed her grandparents.
The little girl's screams were greeted by the howls of other wolves, they turned towards the howls coming from the roof of the house.
One more wolf is also black, similar to the one that just injured Awang.
"Hahahaha, is that the only ability of the champions of this country?" said a voice.
From the dark place where the appearance of the giant wolf came from, came an old man wearing a white tiger skin coat.
"Who are you, instead of introducing yourself to attack directly" said Awang.
"Oh yes forgive my disrespect, my name is Ki Bayu Ireng, the one who will end your miserable life" the old man said with a sigh.
"Basically savage, why did you attack us and also kill innocent people?" awang.
"I'm innocent you say? You mean the one who died in there?" replied the old man while throwing away the two beds he was holding.
The bedil fell in front of Awang.
"Are the dead not part of your army?" continued.
Awang gritted his teeth, resisting the pain of the wound and growled, it was the weapon he put on Ncik Dolah.
" Basic traitor, judging by your age you should have repented instead of selling yourself to the invaders and fighting the nation itself" said Awang's men who were holding the girl.
The boy had already stopped screaming, he stood up in fear hugging the waist of the person with him.
"The nation itself you say? It's obvious I'm not from your kingdom, even I'm from a different island to yours" replied the old man coldly.
"Aah.aah.." and Hamid cried out, the giant wolf that was so close to him could no longer hold his taste. As soon as he saw Hamid off guard he pounced forward biting his neck.
Hamid's reflex thrust his machete blindly into the wolf, many times the machete hit the wolf's body, but there was no blood or scars.
The soldiers were shocked, they also just realized the spear that was thrown Awang had not hit the target and was stuck on the ground.
The incident was so fast, those present had no time to do anything, Hamid's body drooped after giving as much resistance as possible.
The wolf from the roof pounced on another Awang member, knocking him down and tearing his back.
Some of the other soldiers immediately moved to attack the wolf so-genesis jumped from the roof to help his friend. Many times the slashes and stabs of the weapons hit the wolves but none inflicted any injuries.
Precisely those who attack the slammed and injured hit the sharp claws of wolves so-called events.
Ki banyu Ireng laughed proudly looking at that.
"In this case, it would be futile to fight back, the irregulars would be killed in vain" Awang thought.
"Retreat.back off.." cried Awang.
The Awang members moved backwards hesitantly, the other wolf that had attacked Awang was now moving about to pounce on the person who was with the little girl.
The man was flabbergasted and could do nothing.
But all of a sudden the creature stopped, there was a piece of railroad track they were carrying just now blocking its steps, the creature retreated.
"Run, save the boy, you run, save yourself" Awang said.
The members who were with the boy stuttered, unable to say anything, in his carry the boy then left the location.
The other soldiers, although initially looked reluctant but soon followed his friend who brought the girl.
Stay Awang along with three others, they tried to fight.
"Why don't you guys go? Do not waste your lives here" said Awang while whimpering to withstand the pain of the wound on the left shoulder.
"This fight is not yours, you're the one who left, the soldiers still need you" said Pakcik Leman, a rather old member of Awang, in his fifties.
"None of you will leave, you will all die here" said Ki Bayu.
"After that we will pursue and slaughter those who flee".
He attacked with a dagger that was pulled from his waist. What he was aiming for was Leman, but Leman managed to deflect the old man's keris attack with his left hand, then replied with his right hand he stuck a machete into the attacker's neck.
Ki Bayu Ireng dodged by jumping back, "good, your attack is good" he chuckled.
The wolf that had retreated because it did not dare to step over the rail now attacked Leman, its long claws reaching out to hit. Leman fended it off with his left hand.
Awang and the other members of the Warrior held their breaths as Leman repelled the attack by hand.
"Tring.." sounded the claw clap into Leman's hand.
Awang and the others were shocked, he did not expect Uncle Leman to have such an ability.
"Already, go you, here you are just incriminating me" said Leman angrily.
The two remaining lascars pulled Awang back.
"I told you no one left this place" Ki Bayu said furiously.
He kicked forward stabbing a dagger in his hand into Awang's chest.
Seeing that movement Awang kicked with his right foot to the chest of Ki Bayu, the range of Awang kick was further than the hand of Ki Bayu who held a keris. His feet first arrived, Ki Bayu bounced backwards.
From the side, Mat Kecik Awang members slashed a machete right into Ki Bayu's neck. The plug stuck on Ki Bayu's neck.
"Successful" thought Awang. Although these wolves cannot be killed, but if the owner dies it will be easier to deal with, his mind.
Ki Bayu moved backwards. His wife and friends were shocked.
Miraculously, there were no scars there, when clearly they both saw the machete slamming into his neck.
