Ulong Dagger

Ulong Dagger
Breaking through the Enemy's Flank

After dawn Awang led the group waiting in the bushes. By the side of the road, southeast of where they've been hiding this week.

In this place Mat Kecik made a promise to meet Madan, the son of Ruslan's cousin, Awang Warrior members.

Earlier this morning, Madan met with Mat Kecik who was undercover to observe the situation at the local market.

At that time Madan was really shocked to meet Mat Kecik, so happy he met Awang's confidant.

He told me about how many stories of their struggle were circulating among the locals.

After listening to Madan express his admiration, Mat Kecik also told me that they currently need help to pass the company guard, in order to return to hiding.

Madan excitedly said she would help Awang and the group out of their hiding place, just tell her what to do. Madan also told me that now he works as a salt deliveryman from Belawan to Medan, and that it is likely that he can help them.

Just like most teenagers of his age, since childhood Madan greatly admired the fighters who opposed the company.

It became even more amazing for him after hearing Awang and his troops ravaged the company post from Singung to Klambir Lima.

At the age of fourteen, Madan asked his uncle Ruslan to allow him to join the army.

It's just that Awang as the leader of the army forbids, because Awang does not want the child to leave his mother who lives alone.

After hearing from Mat Kecik about their meeting, this afternoon it was with great pleasure that Awang ordered Mat Kecik to come back to Madan and tell them their plans.

And then Mat Kecik came back to meet Madan. As they expected, Madan was willing to follow the plan.

Now, as previously agreed, then Madan on his way to pick up salt in Belawan after dawn will wait for them on one of the street corners.

They waited for the time after dawn because at that time the guard was not too tight, where most of the company's troops were resting.

Before long they waited at a glance, there were bells ringing in the distance. A small bell that is usually hung on the cow's neck.

Then following the sound of bells, seen three pedati carrying goods walked slowly on the pull of three cows, walking the public road from Medan to Belawan.

Seen in each of the pedati there is a coachman on it. On each pedati on the left corner on the torch as a signal agreed by Madan with Mat Kecik, as a sign that the situation is safe.

Near the place where Awang and his group hid Madan gave a sign with a loud cough three times.

"That's the sign", whispered Mat Kecik.

Mat Kecik immediately came out of hiding and approached.

Seeing the presence of Mat Kecik, Madan and his two friends immediately came down from the pedati. Madan and her two friends were all about the same age, teenagers about seven dozen.

"How's it?" ask Mat Kecik.

"Aman Pakcik", replied Madan, then grabbed Mat Kecik's hand and kissed the hand.

The two friends also eagerly scramble to greet and kiss Mat Kecik's hand.

Mat Kecik laughed softly at their behavior.

After that he waved a hand gesturing to his friends.

Crew and friends came out from hiding approaching.

Madan headed straight for Awang, politely greeting and kissing her hands.

Awang pat Madan on the shoulder, "how's my son?" tanyakanya.

"Alhamdulillah healthy Pakcik", he replied.

He stared at the people who were with Awang, "which one is Pakcik Ulong and Makcik Laksmi?" tanyanya whispers.

Awang laughed and turned to the group, "Long, Laksmi, there are your fans" he said.

Ulong and Laksmi walked over with a smile.

"Sir, Uncle, Uncle", said Madan bowed respectfully.

Ulong and Laksmi smiled, in their hearts feeling too old with the call. If with Awang, Mat Kecik, or Arman may Madan call him Pakcik, because they are in their thirties. As for him and Laksmi, they were both twenty-five years old just yet.

Awang chuckled "Hey they are not suitable for you to call Uncle and Aunt" he said.

Madan was embarrassed and scratched his head.

Madan's friends seem very excited to meet the laskar who some time is a byword in their village.

They whispered while staring at Mat Kecik.

"Which Pakcik Ulong, and Makcik Laksmi", he said.

Mat Kecik pointed at Ulong and Laksmi who were talking to Madan.

"That elong on her waist was a lot tucked in a dagger, while the most beautiful Laksmi, standing next to Ulong".

Hearing Mat Kecik's words the teenagers rushed over.

"This is Uncle Ulong?" asked someone from them and rushed to greet Ulong and kissed Ulong's hand with reverence.

Ulong chuckled at the behavior of these teenagers.

After greeting Awang, Ulong, and Laksmi they approached the rest of the group and experienced it.

When approaching the son, Mardiani and Salhah, who are not much different in age from them these three young people are clearly seen staring with admiration.

There is envy in their hearts because at such a young age the Son and these two girls have become warriors and become such famous followers of Awang.

The son smiled broadly at them, while the two girls greeted them while blushing.

After the brief friendship Madan asked his two friends to follow the son to take their horses hidden not far from there.

Soon they reappeared with horses.

Other than the two horses they rode there were nine more horses they had brought in behind.

The plan is they will hide the horses in the forest, not far from the village.

The two friends nodded and said goodbye to Awang and friends, after which they rode eastward, out of the street.

The band of warriors immediately climbed the three pedati.

One pedati in front of the rider is Madan.

While the other two swords were walking behind in the drive of Ulong and Putra, while the rest were hiding in a cart covered with straw and on top of it was placed a cloth.

The three swords began to slowly walk away from the meeting place.

The road they traced was a fairly wide dirt road, can be passed by five swords at once.

Lucky it has been almost a month there is no rain so the road is not muddled and does not hamper travel.

After almost half an hour they drove in the silence of the night, in front of the company guard post.

After getting close enough they saw three people standing there in front of the post by the roadside, while a few meters behind them were two tents. Looks like the resting place of the extra troops.

"They are really exerting their power to hunt us down" Ulong thought.

A soldier of the indigenous company stands in the middle of the road stopping the pedati.

He recognized Madan who once a week delivered salt.

"Why are there up to three swords that you've brought Dan?" ask the guard.

"Yes Pakcik, there is additional salt that we are told to bring" he said.

Two more company soldiers on guard came, they looked at Ulong and Putra.

"Who is your friend?" tanyakanya.

"They are Pakcik's new employees" Madan replied while laughing to melt the atmosphere.

Ulong and Putra smiled and nodded at them.

"What's your name?" ask a company soldier.

"I'm Master", replied Ulong.

"I am the son of the master", answered the Son, the name of the son is so much here that he does not have to worry about mentioning his real name. After all, his name is not the name that is included in the main search list of companies.

They watched for a while but did not check the contents of the cart because they were not too suspicious, they had known Madan for quite a while, this teenager was very polite and had never been in trouble.

Inside the wagon, Laksmi, Mardiani and Salhah were already preparing with bows and arrows.

While Awang and the others have prepared with spears and machetes.

They waited tensely.

A company soldier who was looking around the back of the pedati cart gestured to his friend in front.

After that the soldiers in front ordered them to walk again.

And the three swords began to walk slowly leaving the post.

There were no other obstacles after that, Awang and the group left Madan and two other pedati about one kilometer from the salt collection location.

"Thank you very much Dan, greetings to your mother" Awang said before leaving.

"Yes Uncle, equally, I'm also happy to finally be able to help the fighters" he replied.

"Later to say Uncle's greeting to mother, he must be very happy" said Madan smiling.

After that Awang and the group walked down the coconut grove on the right of the road to the west for several kilometers and entered the forest.

Awang and the troupe arrive at their small hiding village when the sun has fully risen.

And find something surprising.

Their little hideout village has been ravaged as in lunge*****pacute.

The whole building was destroyed, hollow and the wood was broken. The roof of Rumbia was scattered nearby.

There are traces of fighting here and there and the bodies of irregulars are scattered.

All in the state of the body shattered, torn and torn apart.

Eight people were killed, including Ruslan.

Arman and Mat Kecik ran checking around like crazy.

"Aaargggggh..Barbarians!!!" mat Kecik. He went berserk and took a bench near him, and slammed it with all his might into the ground to smash it into pieces.

Awang looked at the place with teary eyes, there were fifteen members there before and now everything was lost, only these corpses were left.

There was not a corpse of an enemy in sight.

He took a hard look at Ruslan's body and after seeing his wound, he said furiously, "Ki Bayu".

Arman approached Awang, he saw Ruslan's hand clutching a straw doll covered in blood.

He grabbed the straw doll and sizzled softly, "Nilam".

Awang and Mat Kecik heard it staring towards the grass puppet with furious expressions.

Ulong and the others just stood staring with pity without being able to say anything.

Suddenly Ulong and Laksmi heard the sound of a bushes pressing on his right and a feeling of being watched.

"Enemies to the south, everybody down!!!" shout Ulong.

"outside..Duars..Duar..!!!"

Rows of gunfire rained down on them, rumbling through the silence of the morning.
