Trying To Be Faithful

Trying To Be Faithful
Weepy

"Tea, tea. Nay's conscious." Unashamed and hesitant, Inggit ran to Hasna in the hospital musholla. He shouted until some people who happened to be there noticed the two of them.

Hasna was speechless, she just stared at Inggit between surprise and happiness.

Still with complete mukena, Hasna ran even without wearing footwear. His face looked happy even though tears were dripping. It felt really bad, and wanted to see her little daughter as soon as possible.

With a breath of excitement, Hasna reached the ICU. He even commemorated guards there to use PPE first. Hasna did too.

There's a medic there who's checking on Nay. Hasna, though eager to see her conscious son, did not dare to approach and disturb the officers. He wanted them to check on his son.

Long wait, they are finally done. Then Hasna dared to go in and ask her doctor.

"The mother's son is conscious, but the name of the person who runs out of coma does not wake up like a person has finished sleeping. It took them several hours or even days to become fully aware. Fortunately the mother's child's vital signs are good enough, maybe in just a matter of hours she can already completely open her eyes."

"Alhamdulillah O Allah ...." Hasna covered her face.

"Thank you, Doctor. Thank you for taking good care of my son during this time" Hasna said next.

"Together, Mom. Then I'm sorry. Maybe tomorrow morning we'll do a few more checks to make sure everything's okay."

"Yes, Doc. Do what's best for my son."

The doctor nodded. "I'll excuse you."

"Yes, Doctor. Thanks again."

Hasna immediately approached Nay after the doctor left. Rare feet that were so fast, now very slow.

With her words always wet, lips quivering, Hasna grabs Nay's little hand. The little girl responded by moving even though her eyes were closed. Hasna's eyes sparkled happily. Now, his daughter is not as silent as yesterday-yesterday when touched.

Nay's breathing seemed suppressed, it seemed like he wanted to say something but couldn't yet. His body is still limp.

"Honey, this is mom, son. Nay denger mom, right?"

Nay moved his weak hand helplessly. Hasna was so happy. He repeatedly thanked her, while kissing and hugging her little girl.

Even at night, Hasna can't wait to tell Zahira to get Puput and Shaki to know that their sister is awake.

Nay's happiness was also conveyed to Raden. Without thinking about anything else, he sent out a chat.

"Nay's conscious, Mom."

Hasna kept her phone back. The focus is on Nay. His lips continued to speak Alhamdulillah while looking at Nay, as if there was nothing but Nay there.

An hour passed, Hasna was still staring at her son. Happy feeling like he lost a child and then he came back, making Nay keep staring as if he did not want Nay to go back. Make sure that his son is okay.

"He's a strong boy."

Hasna turned to the right, where someone had stood. ICU rooms cannot be entered by just anyone. One patient is a waiter, even if the adult patient is given a time limit to be inside. While this guy?

"Sir?" Hasna stood up.

"Sir? How I prefer to be called in the chat."

Hasna frowned. Raden smiled behind the medical mask he was wearing.

"Can we come in? This is the ICU."

"There is no room in this hospital that I cannot enter."

Hasna nodded. He's aware of who Raden is at this hospital.

"Sorry, I was so happy that I sent a chat to some people for news."

"I'm happy, because that means I belong to the list of people you think 'haru' know about your happiness."

Hasna smiled thinly.

"Other times, various sorrows are also okay?"

"It looks like dawn, you go to the mosque just let me take care of it here. Don't you have to thank someone."

"Who?"

Raden pointed upwards.

"Ah, right too. But it's okay if I take Nay first ... Mas."

Raden smiled faintly at Hasna's words. He nodded steadily while patting Hasna's upper arm.

"Go."

Hasna is gone. Out there he met Inggit who was standing like he was waiting for him.

"Where, Tea?"

Hasna hugged her sister tightly.

"Thank God, Git."

Inggit returned his brother's embrace. They dissolve in novelty because Nay finally siuman.

"Good morning, sir."

"Morning, Sir."

The greeting of some servants who happened to cross paths with Raden and Nay, made Nay feel uncomfortable. She felt ashamed for walking with an influential person in the hospital.

Raden invites Hasna to breakfast while Inggit looks after Nay.

"What message do you want?"

"I'm not a laper, Mas. Drink warm sweet tea."

Raden took a deep breath.

"Hasna, you've been looking after Nay for a few days. Okay yesterday you were still thinking about him because he was still in a coma, but now he's dead. What else is a burden on your mind? Look, you look skinny."

Raden rubbed the bottom of Hasna's eyes that looked sunken and tanned. Sontak Hasna was surprised but her body just remained silent without responding.

"I'm sorry if I meddled too much in your affairs, but I asked because I wanted to make sure that this was not the burden you were thinking about."

"What, Mas? What do you want?"

"You think about the cost?"

Hasna laughed a little.

"No, Mas. That's not. If the cost of Alhamdulillah still exists. Yes, even though I have to take from their education savings, but Alhamdulillah it seems like I can pay the hospital bills later."

"I've checked the bill and .. yes ... Hasna, you know for yourself if this hospital is not a public hospital, automatically the cost is a bit above, so ...."

"When a child is dying, how can I think of the cost, Mas. Let alone treasure, I will sell my life to pin Nay."

"I understand, Hasna. It's just ... If I can help, why are you resisting? The cost of your child's education is no less important, right?"

Hasna remained silent.

"That's it. Let me pay Nay's hospital fees, just think of it as debt. You can pay anytime, how much you can because if you owe to the hospital you can't."

"I don't owe this hospital, Mom."

"I knew. You said the money was there but took from the cost of children's education, right? Na, their journey is still long. Puput alone is already big is still far away, he was just in the first rung of his education. That is, if there is a solution to this problem, why not? Not necessarily I can help if there is a cost difficulty in the education of children."

Hasna stirred her warm tea, sipping it slowly while looking at the tree that was starting to get exposed to the morning sun.
