Trapped on Zombie Island

Chapter 22

Although the rooftop is safe, but Rachel still wants to continue holding Cindy. He was sitting on the chair that was on the rooftop there because it was so exhausted.

Rachel is very worried about Diego, she hopes Diego can catch them to the rooftop.

So did Ana, she kept rubbing Adel's back to calm him down, Adel must be very frightened by all the events on this island and trying to encourage Mira who had lost Nino.

On the emergency stairs, Tio felt something strange on his body, his body was in a lot of pain and heat. He realized he had been bitten by a zombie, he thought he wouldn't be infected because his bite wound was so small.

"Run fast!" Tio tells Diego to run away from him. "Let me fight them." Tio said it with a breath so heavy. He slashed back the neck of the zombie that attacked him with a machete.

Diego strongly objected to Tio's request, but did not have time to answer his words because he had to fight the zombies that attacked him.

"Zombies will be more and more, the better you run fast." Tio kept telling Diego to leave him.

"Can't, we have to run together."

Victor descended down, helping to attack the zombies that kept running up the stairs. Dave brought a table that was in the corridor there. He placed the table on the stairs to slow the zombies down after them.

Diego, Dave, Victor, and Tio quickly run up the stairs to the rooftop, the zombies chasing them even though it was a bit late because it was blocked by the table.

They make it to the rooftop, but they are surprised by Tio, suddenly Tio closes the rooftop door and locks it from the inside. Tio purposely did so because they would not be able to possibly leave himself alone.

Diego and Dave don't understand why Tio did that. They were banging on the door.

Victor stopped them, "He's infected. He did it to protect us." Victor knew it when he noticed Tio's face and his eyes.

Tio ran quickly down the stairs, lest any zombies know they are hiding in the rooftop, let alone to attack the emergency exit.

Therefore he had to beat them back as much as possible even though he had to endure the pain because there were some zombies that managed to bite him.

Tio opened the exit door, luring the zombies to follow him, he ran into the corridor, he groaned in pain let alone his body was very hot. "Agrrhhh..."

"Sir Tio!" Rangga recognized the voice of his teacher. He asked Marsell to open the door, "Hurry to open the door, there's Mr. Tio outside."

But Marsell instead told Rangga to shut up, "Stttt..."

Marsell heard a rumbling sound in the corridor there. It seemed like countless zombies were running around entering the corridor chasing Tio.

"Agghhkkrp...Aghhkkr..."

Those who were inside the apartment were goosebumps to hear it, the sound of the moans of zombies once rumbled, there must be a great number of zombies chasing after Tio in that corridor.

Tio kicked a glass wall and immediately jumped plunged down. Letting himself die like that before he became a zombie.

Even many zombies scattered, jumped from the top chasing him, many zombies fell from the top, and, automatically many of them will not live again because of the condition of their heads are injured even broken and of course suffered fractures, including Tio.

Those who were on top of the rooftop there, immediately looked down when they heard the sound of broken glass, apparently Tio jumped from the apartment, followed by either tens or hundreds of zombies that dove in until they overlapped each other below. There are some zombies who died and some who can still stand back.

They were deeply saddened by what Tio had done to protect them, including Nino's sacrifice as well.

Ana and Mira hug each other, "Ana, Nino An..." Mira could not continue her words.

Dave was the same, he looked down to notice the many zombies that lurked there. His eyes glazed over having lost his best friend, in addition to the sacrifice of his new acquaintance, Tio.

Victor held Adel, he knew Adel was so scared that he wanted to calm him down.

"Aadel didn't see Grandma, where was Adel's grandmother?" lirih Adel's.

Victor switched Adel's conversation. "Look up there, there's a lot of stars" Victor said.

Adel turned up. He was astonished to see the beauty of the stars scattered in the sky.

"It's beautiful, isn't it?" ask Victor.

"Yes om, it's beautiful." cried Adel with a big smile.

Diego approaches Rachel who is still trying to calm Cindy who must be very frightened by today's events.

Diego sits next to Rachel and Cindy, "Do you want another sling?" ask Diego to Cindy.

Cindy was so excited to see Diego again, "Papa!"

Diego brought Cindy to sit on his lap.

"After coming here, I promise I won't leave my mom and Cindy, I'll stay with us." Cindy said it while crying.

Diego and Rachel just looked at each other. They become misbehaved, Diego wants to answer yes but he's afraid Rachel objected. And she was also afraid that she could not keep her promise to Cindy, she was afraid that she would not be able to return home with them.

While inside the apartment, Marsell, Rere, Alan, and Rangga could not calm down because they heard the roar of a horde of zombies in the corridor there. They must not make a sound, they are afraid that a very large number of them can break into the door of the apartment. Because there are still many zombies that do not jump down there.
