Alarm beeping. Exactly eight in the morning. Bara sits in the living room, holding a cup of coffee while reading an Amsterdam weekend magazine. Next to Bara, there was a suitcase. I will be returning to Indonesia today. Go home, because I got word that Mr. Tio was in the hospital.

Last night, after returning from Blanche, Bara decided to spend the night at his sister's residence. But before deciding to spend the night at the residence Nada which is in the Beethovenstraat area, Bara took the goods he brought while in Amsterdam first, in an apartment southeast of Centrum.

His three best friends are Nada as well. Jeje, Naira, and Una took all their belongings, because Nada told them to stay with him here as long as they were still in Amsterdam.

Bara put his magazine on a glass table, sipped coffee, then got off the couch. Stepping towards the white paint wall where some paintings, photo frames, and some floral decorations were attached, Bara's attention stopped on one picture frame. Bara saw that frame. He knows the people who are in it. That, frame their family photos. Twenty years ago when Nada entered kindergarten.

I stared at the photo. Her sister, little Tone seemed to be smiling happily. There's Miss Ann, Mr. Karso, and Bara smiling too. At that time, they celebrated the first day of Nada's entrance to kindergarten. I remember all those memories. Very plainly. His face was smiling, but still unable to cover the pain of the heart wound he felt at that very moment.

Long before Mr. Karso left, little Bara and Tone were always happy every day. Have a whole family. They exchange love for each other without having to think about difficult days.

And when Mr. Karso left, Bara remembered, their lives were ruined. Falling into the bitter abyss of life. Every day is a hard day.

As the firstborn, Bara often encouraged his sister to be strong and continue to strive to climb the path of the world. Although in the same situation, but Bara will always try to make a little Tone smile.

I closed my eyes, breathing.

Now, little Tone had already become an adult. I know what is happy, what is not. Dare to take action on your own and take responsibility for the risks. But most importantly, still stubborn.

She opened her eyes, laughing.

As a man, Bara's role was not only as a brother in his life Nada. Because after Mr. Karso left, Bara was also required to be a father. Who gave a little Tone of candy while crying. Giving a blanket when a small tone is hit by the wind. And give a bar of chocolate for a small tone to smile cheerfully.

Stopping his gaze at the photo, Bara turned around. Back to the sofa. Sit down, sip coffee once more, lean back.

"Yes..." Tone Voice greeting. Followed by his footsteps leading to Bara.

Put a coffee cup on the table.

"They woke up. I think it's still a kebo." said Bara. Little laugh.

Tone sitting on the sofa. Right next to Bara. Hugged Bara anyway.

The one being hugged even more solidified his smile.

"Yes... You know exactly what you are feeling. You are great, you deserve to live your own life. Mas also happy if you see you happy." replied Bara. Gutted his sister's shoulder.

"Later, if you go to Jakarta, even if you do not stop by the house, you seem to ngabarin Mas, yes. Don't forget." he added.

Nada nods. Take off that hug.

"Morning uda makes mewek aja deh..." Naira joined in. Stepping closer to Nada and Bara.

But, after Naira reached the sofa, the sound of the car and its horn were heard in front of this residence.

"Mas Taxi..." She got off the couch, sipped coffee, and grabbed her suitcase.

"Oh yes, I forgot."

I took something out of my jacket pocket. That's the Sound car key.

"So Mas uda nelfon Bunyi, he said to you. Here's..." Bara gave the car keys to Nada.

"Jude, I'm going, yeah."

Nada nods.

Then they stepped towards the door of the house. Bara carries the suitcase out, Nada and Naira follow behind.

In front of the house, a taxi that will take Bara to Schiphol Airport looks neatly parked. Beside the taxi was also standing upright a young white man who upon seeing Bara's presence, he immediately rushed to step towards the terrace of the house. The taxi driver then helped Bara carry the suitcase into the trunk of the car. He slowly stepped into the taxi.

Tone waved his hand. Following Bara who also waved his hand from inside the taxi.

After the taxi driver got into the car, the taxi was lit up. Slowly walk away from the front of the house. Take Bara to the airport to return to Indonesia.

Tone stopped his gaze at the taxi that was slowly disappearing from sight. He and Naira went back into the house.
