There's Only You

There's Only You
CHAPTER 32 - Hit Run

As soon as he parked his car in the parking lot, Alwi's phone rang. He pulled the phone out of his pocket.

"Darling, you go first. I have to pick up the phone first from Mr. Wilson" said Alwi while holding his phone that rang because there was an incoming call from the CEO of their agency.

"Yes, I go first" Aurora nodded with a smile.

"OKAY. Muach" Alwi brought his face closer to Aurora's face and kissed her lips as she opened the car door. The biggest smile she had on her lips.

Aurora let out a sigh of annoyance and looked at her husband sharply, before she opened the door and got out of the car. Leaving Alwi still smiling triumphantly before he raised an incoming call from the CEO of his agency, and was busy with his phone.

Until suddenly he was surprised by the sound of Aurora's screams, accompanied by the sound of the roar of a fast-moving car.

"Ohhh!!"

BRUOK!!

Spontaneous Alwi turned his head to see what was happening. How surprised he was to see his wife who was the victim of a hit-and-run.

"Aurora!!"

With panic and fear of seeing his unconscious wife and part of his body covered in blood, due to a car accident that ran away after hitting him, Alwi immediately took Aurora to the nearest hospital from the supermarket.

Arriving at the hospital, he immediately asked for help from the medical personnel who rushed to take the gurney, and laid Aurora's body on top of the soft gurney.

Then they together push the gurney towards the ICU room, to immediately perform a rescue action against Aurora.

"Sorry sir, please just wait here" One of the female nurses stopped Alwi from entering the ICU room, when Aurora's gurney was pushed in.

"Sus, please save my wife. Please don't let anything bad happen to her. I beg you" Alwi said with a glass. He was really scared if his wife's situation was severe.

"Yes sir, we will try our best. Please pray that we succeed" said the nurse before closing the door and entering, to join other medical experts in dealing with Aurora.

Leaving Alwi with a feeling of raven. He seemed to be pacing in front of the ICU room with mounting anxiety. Waiting for the uncertain condition of his wife who can not make him calm.

Guilt ambushed him. He cursed his own carelessness. Had he not let Aurora get down alone from the car, this might never have happened. What kind of husband is she?! Who can't take care of his own wife!

Maybe he was even more busy with his phone! Hope his wife is okay. Otherwise, perhaps he would never be able to forgive himself!

Suddenly, Alwi heard the phone ringing. The voice sounded very clearly, and came from nearby. But that's not the sound of his phone.

He looked around him. The sound came from inside the Aurora bag that was on a chair in front of the ICU room. I don't know who called his wife at a time like this.

Alwi walked over to the chair where the bag was. He opened the bag, then pulled out Aurora's phone inside. It turns out there was an incoming call from her mother-in-law.

But it was also impossible for him to ignore, let alone revise this call. It feels very disrespectful. Finally Alwi picked it up.

"Hallo, yes Ma" said Alwi hesitantly as soon as he put the phone in his ear.

"Alwis? How did you lift? Where's aura? She's okay, right? Suddenly my mother felt bad. Mama can talk to him, right? Please call Aurora"

The voice of Divia across there sounded anxious. It seemed like his mother-in-law could sense if bad things were happening to his wife. Perhaps this is what is called the inner bond between mother and child that is so strong.

"Sorry Ma, but Aurora...." Alwi said in a stammer. She was so confused as to give what answer to her mother-in-law's question.

"What's Al? Everything's fine, right? Where's Aurora? Mama wanted to talk to him" Divia repeated her words urgently.

"A-aurora.... Mm.... We're in Ma's hospital..."

"Hospital? Who is sick? You two are okay, right?" Excited Divia with a voice that sounded increasingly panicked.

"Aurora's accident Ma..." Alwi lirih.

"What?! The accident?! What happened to her?! Alwi, what happened to Mama's son?"

"Aurora.... Having hit-and-run Ma" Alwi tells her everything about what happened to his wife. Starting from their supermarket after the concert, until Aurora was hit by a car that immediately fled afterwards. He could hear the shocked, panicked and sad tone he felt by the mother of his wife upon hearing his story. Until the call is terminated.

In the next few minutes, Aurora can be moved to the hospital room because of her conscious condition. He only had a tear wound on his head. And has been sewn and given antiseptic drugs and bandaged.

But doctors say if the most fatal wound is in the neck. So for the next few days, Aurora's neck should be installed neck collar.

A few minutes after Aurora was transferred to the VVIP hospital, the family came like Divia, Ghiani and Arifin who came with Mauli, his wife.

"Aurora! You're okay, aren't you, baby? Mama was very worried when she found out that you had an accident. How are you doing now?" As soon as he opened the door and entered the room, Divia immediately walked in half running towards Aurora with panic that was blowing in her chest.

The others seemed to be trailing behind the Divia, entering the spacious and luxurious VVIP room.

"Yes Ma, I'm fine. Mama don't worry yes" replied Aurora with a raucous voice while holding her neck that feels pain and has been attached neck collar white.

"Al, what exactly is going on? How did Aurora get to an accident like this?" Arifin asked Alwi.

"I'm sorry, Pa. It's all my fault. I shouldn't have let Aurora down alone...." Alwi answered softly and face down. Guilt was very noticeable from his expression and tone of voice.

"There's nothing to blame Pa. All this is a disaster. It's not your fault dear" Tukas Aurora who interrupted the conversation of her husband and papa, with a wrinkled face enduring the pain in her neck.

"Aurora's? What was? How come your voice is so raucous like this? Your neck too, it hurts, son?" The Divia asked softly and anxiously looking at her son who looked in pain every time she spoke.

"Yes Ma, my neck hurts a lot" Aurora replied with great difficulty.
