CHAPTER 24 - The Return of Arifin

Aurora was not acting like that because she was angry at her mother. But in order to avoid confrontation with the woman he loved very much.

"It's about Alwi Yudhistira"

"What is the problem with Alwi?" Arifin knitted her brows.

Aurora tells him everything about her relationship with Alwi, which she has been in secret for almost two months. And how Divia came to them after knowing everything. Then firmly ask them to end the relationship.

"What's? So you and Alwi have been in a relationship, for almost two months?" Arifin was shocked to hear her daughter's story.

"Yes. I felt in love again, after I broke up from Gibran for his betrayal" Aurora said with a look of laughter.

"Then why, you never told Papa about your relationship?"

"Absolutely.... Papa don't mind our relationship?" Aurora asked doubtfully.

"Seriously dad?" Aurora looked intently at her Papa upon hearing his confession.

"What's Papa kidding for? Papa knew Alwi was a good, responsible, hardworking man. Papa knows his parents well. He is Papa's comrade in arms" said Arifin who then sucked his juice with a straw.

"But the problem.... Mama is against our relationship hard Pa. And ever since Mama asked us to stay away from each other, I've never met Alwi again" Aurora told me with a face down.

"Papa understands. And all of this is the result, of Papa's past mistakes. Papa apologize yes, because of Papa, now you have to bear the impact" Arifin looked at his daughter with a look of regret and guilt.

"It's Pa, I've said many times, right, we don't need to discuss the past. Oh yeah, Papa's coming home from abroad, didn't Papa bring me souvenirs?" Aurora asked in question to divert the conversation.

Alwi is rehearsing in the studio room. His hands were picking at the guitar he was holding slowly. But his gaze looked pensive. It seemed that his heart and mind were elsewhere, not in his training.

"Good afternoon" Suddenly a man greeted him kindly. Makes Alwi jerked until his daydreams scatter instantly.

"Sore" Alwi replied to the greeting listlessly. But when he turned his head and found out that the owner of the voice was Arifin who was walking up to him, he immediately shifted his swivel chair, facing the middle-aged man while trying to show his smile. "Eh Om? How are you Om? When do you come back from Italy?"

"Yesterday night. This afternoon, I met Aurora. Because while there, Om misses him a lot" replied Arifin while laying down his body on the sofa.

"Oh.... That so?" Alwi smiled wryly at the mention of Aurora's name. His longing feelings for the girl were mounting. His envy arises for Arifin, who can freely meet Aurora whenever he wants.

"What's wrong? Do you miss Aurora too? You want to meet him too?" As if understanding the contents of Alwi's mind, Arifin looked at him with a probing gaze.

"Om talkin' good? I don't get it. Why would I want to meet Aurora? I'm not who he is. Besides, I'm also busy preparing for the concert later tonight" Kilah Alwi smiled and turned his face away. He did not want this man to know the feelings he had towards his daughter.

"Have it done, you don't have to dodge it. Aurora told me everything about your relationship. Frankly, Om doesn't mind at all. Even Om is very supportive of your relationship. Because Om has known you and your family for a long time...." Said Arifin with a sparkling face.

"But not with Aunt Divia Om. He even asked me not to get in touch with Aurora anymore" Tukas Alwi said, imagining Divia's rejection of her relationship with Aurora the other day.
