Hospital

Nara breathed a sigh of relief as they reached the hospital. The traffic jam on the road turned out to be quite long, Nara to be restless because it still takes a long time to arrive.

Fifteen minutes after that the streets were no longer jammed and half an hour later they had arrived. Nevan's body temperature is still hot, Nara sees that her son is asleep.

Fahmi gets out of the car and opens the back door, he picks up Nevan and takes her into a sling. Nessa follows them from behind, one of her hands in Nara's truss. The little girl had been silent since then, she was also worried about her sister's situation.

Some nurses helped Fahmi by showing him the way, they were so shocked when they heard Fahmi's screaming voice. It's as if Nevan's situation is critical.

Nara and Nessa are taken into custody by one of the nurses and told them to fill out a form. Nara's heart is in turmoil right now, but she complies with the nurse's request. Nara hurriedly filled it, she wanted to catch up with Fahmi soon.

Even her tears kept coming out. The last signature, Nara again took Nessa and they ran after Fahmi. Until his eyes accidentally saw Fahmi who was sitting in the front waiting chair of a room whose door was tightly closed.

His breathing was breathless, and so was Nessa. This time Nessa felt that her mother did not feel sorry for her at all, Nessa felt that if Nara treated herself like an adult, Nara's running speed was very difficult.

"Bun... Mother, why was Nessa not just a carrying Mother. No pity what Nessa, told to run around the hospital. Nessa's gonna be tired."

Still trying to catch her breath, Nessa held onto her knees while crouching down. Mother is cruel, she thought who was crying in her heart.

Ignoring Nessa's words, Nara walked slowly toward Fahmi. He sat down next to Fahmi. Nara is still breathing, she is tired just like Nessa. Counting sports, her inner self.

"Sister, how's Nevan?"

Fahmi raises his head to hear Nara's voice, he daydreams until he does not realize that Nara is sitting next to him. He saw that Nara was leaning against the wall while covering her eyes with her hands.

"Nevan is still in the doctor's office. I hope he's okay."

Until his eyes looked towards Nessa who was walking closer. The little girl was not as chatty as usual, but Nessa looked exhausted.

"Why you?" fahmi asked as Nessa was already sitting on the floor under her feet.

"The bad mother, Om. Mother pulled Nessa's hand to run. Mother's time forgot that I was a child, I'd be tired." Sungly, his pouting face held in annoyance.

"Mother was panicking, so forget that you can't run on a date." Nara tried to defend herself, her position was still the same as before.

Nara tried to hold back her tears from coming out, actually also feeling guilty because her panic made Nessa become angry at him. She was supposed to be holding Nessa, but now she's gone.

Seeing that Fahmi tried to hold back laughter, Nessa's behavior turned out to be entertaining. Nessa did nothing, but somehow it felt funny to her.

No more talking between them, everyone was silent. Nessa has moved to the seat next to Fahmi. Sometimes Nessa counts the number of people who pass in front of them, until finally she feels bored.

Long enough to wait, almost half an hour. And finally the door of the room opened, the doctor came out of the place. Closing back the door that Nevan was wearing.

"So, how's my son doing?"

"Mother's son is currently fine, he is asleep due to the infusion we put in. And we diagnosed that your child has Acute myeloblastic leukemia (AML) or acute myeloblastic leukemia. But we still need to check further as well as do blood tests and bone marrow aspiration. According to the symptoms your child feels, that's what she's going through."

"Taa... But how could he suddenly have a disease like this, Doc?" his body trembled, his wish that Nevan wanted only a mild pain was now dashed already.

His body felt weak, as much as possible Nara tried to survive so as not to fall. He still wanted further explanation, hoping that the doctor in front of him had misdiagnosed.

"Leukemia is common in children and adults, the cause of why can have this disease is also many, it could be because one of your family members has had leukemia. Or suffer from a genetic disorder, such as Down Syndrome. Suffering from blood disorders, such as myelodysplasia syndrome"

"Or your child has had cancer treatment with chemotherapy or radiotherapy. There are many more reasons to have leukemia." The man's doctor said at length.

"Then can my child recover?" The long words of the doctor did not understand Nara at all. The most important thing right now was the recovery of his son. That's all Nara wanted.

"Of course, there are many ways you can do it. Chemotherapy, which is a method of treatment using drugs to kill cancer cells, for example chlorambucil. The drug can take the form of tablets or intravenous injections. Immune therapy or immunotherapy, which is the administration of drugs to boost the immune system and help the body fight cancer cells."

"It could also be with target therapy, namely the use of drugs to inhibit the production of proteins that cancer cells use to develop.

Radiotherapy is a treatment method to destroy and stop the growth of cancer cells by using high-power radiation beams. Or if you want to eliminate this cancer can also be a bone marrow transplant, which is a procedure to replace damaged bone marrow with healthy bone marrow."

"Please take the right decision and also so that we can treat the mother's child quickly so as not to get worse. Then excuse me first," said the doctor then stepped away leaving Nara and Fahmi who were digesting the doctor's explanation just now.

After the departure of the doctor, Nara's body fell limp. He was sitting on a cold floor. Her tears flowed with a stifled voice. Nara hit her chest that felt tight. Why is this suddenly?

Fahmi sits down, hugs Nara and tries to calm her down. Her tears flowed along, feeling as fragile as Nara.

Unconcerned by the compassionate gazes of those passing by nearby, Nara continued to cry in Fahmi's arms. Even Fahmi's shirt was wet from tears that had come out.

Nessa approached, she who was a child did not understand the words of the doctor. But when she saw her mother crying, Nessa knew it wasn't good news.

"Mother... "
