The Witch and the Vampire Prince

The Witch and the Vampire Prince
05 — Vampire Trial

"WHAT?!"

The call was predictable for all the vampires and werewolves there. Uncle Gill was speechless. He was on the floor, clutching Phyllis's robe, shocked. And so did Louis. Although this was an opportunity to get away from the kingdom, but with the soft fangs conditions were very unethical for the prince like him.

"My little Phyllis..didn't you learn it?" ask Uncle Gill and get back up. He held onto Phyllis's two shoulders and looked at her fixedly, hopeful.

"I can. But it took a long time," Phyllis replied, but the look on her face was a little hesitant.

"How long?" Uncle Gill then turned to Merlin, to ask for certainty. Because when he saw Phyllis' expression, his hope slightly faded.

Merlin himself shrugged in response, not knowing. Right, it all depends on Phyllis.

"But, I think there's magic for hardeners. But Phyllis needs a matra of removal or cancellation of softener magic. These spells are very different. For the magic of the hardener itself can affect the condition of Louis' fangs later. It can even be very much different than before" continued Merlin.

There was no hope, no other way but to wait for Phyllis to learn it. Certainly while studying, Phyllis needed an experiment. It will definitely go through trial and error, where Phyllis needs something to practice.

Quickly Uncle Gill turned into a big wolf and roared. Giving orders. The whole werewolf is directly besieging the vampires in the front yard.

The sound of rapid footsteps and large numbers was clearly heard from within the forest. The other werewolves have arrived. With a fierce and sinister look, they surrounded the vampires and Phyllis' house.

"P-uncle Gill— what are you doing?!" merlin was worried.

Uncle Gill changed back and approached Phyllis. He led the little girl down the porch stairs and found the besieged vampires. The worried Merlin followed him. Louis was surrounded by wolves.

"Consideration! We have heard about the current condition. The vampire prince has been bewitched by my dearest Phyllis. In order to return it, he must learn a magic that he somehow managed to learn."

The man looked at the creatures around him with a stern look. No one interrupts.

"You blood nations want to bring your prince back and we want the safety of our witches. But under these conditions, it cannot happen. That way, we have to work together. I know this is unacceptable, but it's for the sake of mutual desire."

"Then from then on the werewolves will be around here to protect witches and vampires to be Phyllis' guinea pigs!"

Hearing that, the vampires shouted in disbelief. They protest. But the werewolves with more numbers made them squeak. Even so, their faces were not happy.

"I know you won't. But look at the current state. The victim of Phyllis' magic is a vampire. He needs to try his magic with another vampire. We werewolves won't harm you as long as you don't touch our Phyllis and Merlin!"

Although still not accepted, but the vampires can not do anything. They were just obedient and sitting in the courtyard of the house as the werewolves prepared for the security around.

There are a lot of werewolves. They can alternate to keep and move. It was fortunate for Phyllis to know Uncle Gill who turned out to be the head of the werewolf group here.

Aunt Gill and her daughter came to the log house after hearing from other mothers. Where Aunt Gill rushed Phyllis in to check on her condition. Don't forget he brought drugs just in case.

Louve, the daughter of the Gilbert family, approaches Merlin who is watching the vampires. The girl looked nervous. Although he had known for a long time, but the awkwardness was still difficult he threw when he met Merlin.

Uncle Gill who knew his son wanted to talk to Merlin then decided to step aside, citing watching the group of vampires more closely.

"Mmm, Linlin," call Louve slowly. Merlin turned his head and smiled amiably.

"What's up, Veve?"

Louve. Both of his cheeks blushed as Merlin called out his little name. Veve and Linlin were both affectionate calls when they were kids. Although it was commonly called Veve, but Merlin rarely called his name. Only in certain moments.

"W-what...is everything okay?"

"certain. Uncle Gill has always been as great as ever" replied Merlin proudly. He then stroked Louve's head, leaving the werewolf very embarrassed and panicked.

"You just calm down. The other uncles are protecting, really. Veve was always worried, yeah," said Merlin, continuing to rub Louve's brown hair.

Before long he lowered his hand because he saw Louve not wrinkled. Merlin could already think the girl blushed. Though a werewolf, but his nature is timid like a cat. Merlin laughed at Louve's behavior.

Then Merlin tells Louve to go in while he's back dealing with the vampires.

The werewolf uncles had already made a small hut as a cage for vampires from the scorching sun. Although they were mortal enemies, but for the sake of Phyllis, they would be a little kind. Although the vampires were nagging because of the conditions of a less decent place. It was very different from a vampire castle.

"Uncle, Phyllis can start practice tomorrow morning. Today, he will read a book first. For vampire food, I'll give them milk" explained Merlin after closing in on Uncle Gill.

The vampires who heard it did not accept it. Many demos want to drink blood. But then again, the wolf's growl made their guts growl. Inevitably they had to chug glasses of milk every day.

"Oh yes, Merlin. Don't bother preparing food for other uncles. You focus on teaching Phyllis."

"No, Uncle Gill. We've been very troublesome—"

"Merlin, it's okay. Just relax. We do have to protect anyone in our territory, "cut Uncle Gill while patting Merlin on the shoulder.

The young witch smiled, blushing. "Then when we cook later, do not refuse, yes," continued Merlin answered a steady nod and loud laughter from the werewolves.

The two then enter the house after finishing the preparations in the vampire sometimes. They approached the mini library. Phyllis was reciting the mantras there. There was a lot he had to learn before he got to the cancellation stage.

Louis, sitting across from Phyllis, looked at the little girl. Aunt Gill had been watching him for too long, while Louve was busy in the kitchen making dinner. When he arrived earlier, Aunt Gill also brought cooking ingredients for the next few days.

"Darling, can you keep an eye on this vampire prince? My eyes are a little tired. Maybe I'm too old" Aunt Gill said, holding her cheek anxiously. Uncle Gill slowly kissed his forehead and smiled.

"Rest, let me take care of him." Aunt Gill nodded and walked up to Louve in the kitchen.

Meanwhile Merlin turned into a cat because he had been wearing his human body for too long. It's Charlie's turn. Uncle Gill sat down next to Louis, followed by Charlie who was on his lap. The old man's hand stroked his soft feathers, making Charlie snore comfortably.

The two looked at Phyllis who was focused with every word in her spell book and staff. Swinging slowly. There are some magic that require special movements, some only need to say a spell.

"Hey, vampire prince," call Uncle Gill. The vampire looked stiff.

"Why did you come to Cayenne's house?" uncle Gill continued with a look of intimidation. Remembering a vampire suddenly barging into a little witch's house made her emotional. Vampires are the enemy of their people.

Louis stroked his neck, confused and frightened. "I escaped from an engagement to another noble vampire. I don't like him and run. I don't know where to go, which is clear I want to be away from royal territory first" Louis replied hesitantly.

Uncle Gill snorted. "Do you know that after the vampire territory is werewolf territory?" uncle Gill asked to confirm, as well as test how far the knowledge of this vampire prince. Of course vampires have a very distant age from him and all vampire nations already know about division of territory, let alone a member of the royal family.

Louis' head nodded small. "I knew. The vampire territory was in the middle of the werewolf territory. I also know the vampire and werewolf pact. The werewolves surrounded us to provide a barrier so as not to get too close to human territory."

Louis's answer was highly expected of Uncle Gill. That way he doesn't have to explain more. That means Louis already knew the risks he would accept.

It was a great fortune for him to choose to come to Phyllis' house. If Louis had been hanging in the middle of the werewolf territory yesterday, no matter how good he was as a vampire, he would have died in the middle of the forest because he was beaten by a herd of werewolves.
