Phyllis finished her glass of milk. Simultaneously, Merlin and Louve came. The two followed into the kitchen and ate a sandwich Louis made. They chatted a little before moving on to the point.
"So..What is the relationship between vampires and witches?" ask Phyllis after finishing her meal. Louis who was waiting finally opened his voice.
Long ago, thousands of years ago. Humans and vampires live separately. However, their access to meet is not as difficult as it is now. In the past, the entire kingdom in every country was led by a vampire family.
Vampires have magical powers. Every vampire has it. To be strong and not depends on how they sharpen it.
As vampires, there are good and bad. Same with humans. Humans are too. Not a few humans who try to overthrow vampires because they feel themselves the holiest. Given how vampires seek food makes humans ticklish and afraid.
For some who have the intention to destroy the order of the vampire family, they begin to practice magical powers. Although clashing with the government, but there are some vampires who help alias betray the kingdom.
There was a group of vampires who taught the humans about magical powers. Where the humans who managed to master it were referred to as witches as they are today.
Time after time, they managed to forcibly take down the vampire family as the leader of the territory and encourage them to leave. To prevent vampires and witches from meeting, the two races make a new creation. It's a werewolf.
But a cunning witch makes a werewolf an enemy of vampires. Cornered, the vampires eventually seclude themselves.
As the years go by, they begin to forget the origins of witches and werewolves. For thousands of years they have not learned where they actually came from. Until finally until now. But the similarities between them still exist.
It is the effect on the full moon that occurs in vampires and werewolves. Where this greatly affected their strength. But for werewolves themselves it is quite limited as they are an artificial race.
Another commonality between vampires and witches is marriage. The way their couple's deal is the same as Phyllis and Louis did a year ago. It's just that witches don't take that as a wedding vow and think of it as a magic couple. Where witches can add or subtract partners at will.
In a vampire book, a vampire can only have one partner. With reinforced bite marking, their relationship would be considered permanent and could only be lost when one died.
So Louis considered the first covenant to be a marriage agreement. Although their concept is different, but in the world of vampires, Phyllis is still considered as Louis's partner and no one can disturb him. That's why Louis can't marry Alice, his fiancee.
"It turns out vampires are loyal creatures, yes," Merlin muttered as he squeezed his sandwich.
Louis nodded, then turned to Phyllis who had been silent since. "But there are a lot of vampires. They did marry one vampire, but her concubine was infinite. Like my father now," explains Louis straighten out.
Louve, who had been silent, finally raised her hand. "So indirectly, vampires are our great-grandchildren?" his question was answered a steady nod by Louis.
Louve's two hands fused, feeling indecisive. "Ask what you want to ask" Louis said when he knew Louve's movements.
"Mmm, about the werewolf massacre a few years ago, my father was a witness to the cruelty of vampires. Do you know why they did that? My father won't answer me" said the werewolf girl in fear. He was afraid that Louis would be angry for asking this heinous question, because it might be a disgrace to him.
Phyllis herself listened, looking at Louis as if inquisitively. Uncle Gill always warns against vampires because they are sadistic. But after living with Louis, Phyllis had a different judgment. Is it possible that it was a vampire from another group?
Louis was a little oh, as if he knew what Louve meant. Beard's head.
"We vampires have a kingdom of their own. Just like humans. In every region, we must be there. Maybe it happened about forty years ago, yeah."
"At that time there were several other vampire nations coming to my kingdom to come to the meeting. Our vampire territory is surrounded by werewolf territory. But we have our own path so that werewolves don't attack or meet guests."
Louis turned to Louve and looked at her.
"But there's one nation of crazy vampires. Where they don't like the rules and go the other way. They meet a werewolf and begin to kill him. Hearing the reports from the werewolves who survived, we immediately came and brought him home. Even so, the incident left a deep trauma. Our apologies cannot cover that many werewolves died because of our guests."
Louve looks shaken. The girl just kept quiet, then docked to Merlin. Merlin's hand immediately grabbed him and held him in a hug to calm his heart.
Louis is now moving to Phyllis. He looked at the little girl who was now his soulmate.
"You said you've heard from the werewolves who survived, can werewolves enter your territory without fear of being attacked?" ask Phyllis.
"To be honest, the nation of my kingdom is not that bad. We used to be open with werewolves around. My people studied the whole history of vampires and knew all the events that happened. We are a learned nation, really."
"But after the massacre, we were branded bad and ended up shutting ourselves down. My father pulled out all the scattered vampire history books and burned them, he forced us to forget the original history because we felt devastated and ashamed."
Hearing that explanation, Louve calmed down a little. This is just a misunderstanding between them. But to misunderstand or know the truth, the pain suffered by his father will not disappear. The trauma that has shackled his heart for decades is not going to go away easily.
Of course as an eyewitness to the massacre, especially at a young age. Uncle Gill saw how the cruel vampires sucked the blood of their parents until they were gone. Right in front of his eyes.
Uncle Gill's shoulder was almost bitten. But then Louis' royal side came and dragged them away. That fear binds Uncle Gill a few years down the line. Leaving wounds and grudges in his heart. Thanks to that incident also Uncle Gill tried to become the strongest werewolf and eventually lead his territory to this day.
