"I should have remembered a hygiene maniac like you. Always itching to see dirty things around" murmured Louis while stroking his cheek that hit Phyllis's slap a few minutes ago.
Phyllis just finished washing the dishes and the glasses. He finished his studies and went to the upper room to sleep. While Merlin and Louve were still chatting on the terrace. There was the sound of their laughter with the vampires.
Louis lay on the bed as Phyllis took off the robe and changed clothes. Just use the knit that Louve brought a few days ago, then get on the bed.
The Vampire Prince immediately hugged his tiny body as soon as Phyllis broke down. The girl did not wince, just stayed in the vampire's arms. Feels warm.
"You talking about something?" fishing rod Louis. Phyllis' head nodded smallly at his chest. Then he let go of his embrace and looked at Phyllis.
"As you guessed. Something's going on. I have no problem with the arrogant teenage werewolf. That's not the case" Phyllis explained as she looked downwards. Even though he said so, but his movements remained agitated.
"But you're actually distracted, right?" guess Louis.
Phyllis did not reply, she did not even know the exact answer for fear of being considered too childish. According to him, a trivial thing like this should not be thought about more.
"They're teenagers. I purposely gave them a chance to be on top and feel in control. Young souls who thirst to pursue something, forget the people around, and just think about the goal. Here we can see if their mentality is not ready" Louis said.
"What do you mean about their mentality?"
"Mental working together. Dare to fight each other for a common goal. For example, when you help a werewolf to catch a vampire. I don't know their attitude is like that only to you or not, but the point is they think superior to you and consider your help a threat" Louis continued, stroking Phyllis' head, trying to give her peace of mind.
"I'm sure sooner or later you'll realize. My training methods used to be cruel in the vampire military, this is just the first step to seeing their true selves."
Phyllis refused to answer. His brain was still busy digesting Louis' explanation. Her boyfriend waited until Phyllis asked the second question.
"I used the sense of smell you suggested. But the smell is so sharp. I can't even tell every smell apart. And you always say that you recognize my scent, Louve, and others" Phyllis continued.
"That's a simple answer. Because I'm used to it. I don't know what the limits of the human sense of smell are. Maybe we can practice?" bargain Louis who again put on a teasing look. Phyllis snorted and covered Louis's mischievous face with her palm.
Louis chuckled and held Phyllis' hand, putting it on her waist. "I'll teach you that. Let's continue the next question," said Louis while staring fixed netra Phyllis.
"On war. Is there going to be a war here?" Questions Louis could have guessed. Her little girl couldn't possibly not be interested in it.
"I wanted you to promise me before. Promise not to get angry" Louis replies while giving her pinky, making pinky a promise. Phyllis did not understand, but she kept promising. He doesn't want to beat around the bush.
Louis got up from his sleep, sat down and leaned against the pillow. Then he went on to explain, "the family was very often troublemaking. One of them waswolf slaughter here. In the end my kingdom and Washington made a deal. Washington was forbidden to come here and in return..."
Louis looked at Phyllis. His hand drew closer to Phyllis' cheek and stroked her slowly. His sharp gaze slowly withered. "I must marry his son, Alice Washington."
Phyllis' eyes turned back. He shook Louis' hand, angry. I can't believe what he heard. That means now Louis is engaged to a cruel vampire princess?!
Phyllis's mind went everywhere. His new peace and security could be threatened. If Louis continues to be here and Alice finds out, that vicious family will slaughter the entire population of this region. War is inevitable.
Phyllis's face became anxious, her blue diamond netra narrowed in fear. Louis could still be this relaxed. But in retrospect, Louis was teaching them to strengthen their resilience. By deploying his elite troops to train together, it seemed like the possibility of war happening was greater.
He knew very little that the Washington Family was a family that did not accept rejection and was impatient. With Louis delaying the marriage, this would trigger suspicion. Louis tells a lot of stories if Alice is younger and looks like a boy. Alice could have done more to speed up their marriage.
But even though the wedding was held, their marriage status would not be legal because Louis was already married to Phyllis— although it is not expected if the ceremony was a traditional vampire wedding ceremony. Alice would have known about Phyllis and could have killed her to marry Louis.
"Phyllis. Just chill. As long as you practice seriously, you will be on par with Alice" Louis said, trying to calm the worried Phyllis. But the girl did not answer. He turned his back on Louis, then got out of his bed. The girl approached the window of the room and opened it.
A breeze blew against his white face. My gaze looked at the stretch of trees beside the house. His ears could clearly hear the vampires and his brother joking. They were enjoying this night cheerfully, unaware that a great danger was threatening.
If this peace continues. Wanting to hope anything, Louis himself already had an estimate of the possibility that Alice would do dangerous ways to bring him back. There was no other way but to face Alice. That was why Louis was trying so hard to train his strength and the werewolves.
Alice will not let Louis go, nor will Louis part with Phyllis. Phyllis wants her vampire prince gone for the safety of the people around her, but her mind refuses and continues to shackle Louis' name in her heart. After all, their marriage was already legal and could not be removed unless one died. And the way Alice would go to get Louis was only one.
"Have you thought about the weight?" louis asked as he wrapped his hands around Phyllis—'s shoulders their height was quite far away and his hands could not hold Phyllis's waist.
Phyllis just looked at it briefly. He did not answer, letting the lover embrace his tiny body. Louis immediately held Phyllis to bed and broke her down, then hugged Phyllis tightly. As if he didn't want to let go of the girl to leave her on the bed.
"Just calm. I'm postponing it until next year. During that time, you should practice hard. Okay?" louis's bargain that Phyllis doesn't respond to anymore. Louis knew the answer. I don't want Phyllis to agree.
"We better get some sleep. I'm going to teach you how to control your sense of smell tomorrow" Louis continued, and then slowly kissed Phyllis.
The girl was silent, then heaved a heavy sigh and began to close her eyes. In his speech, he hoped that what Louis said about Alice and the Washington agreement was just a joke. He is not ready to face chaos in the future.
