Chapter 27: The Summer Festival.
Day after day had passed, it had been two days since we had gone to Mount Prau. My vacation time is also staying soon. I am in the kitchen and preparing breakfast for me.
There was a lot going on at Mount Prau, but at least I was able to relax while I was there. Rina and Kirana also looked surprised when they saw that I was alone with Miyuki when they just woke up from their sleep. They almost misunderstood our relationship, and fortunately I was able to clear up the misunderstanding.
“It looks like it's enough.”
I also picked up the eggs and sausages I had just cooked for breakfast.
I went straight to the living room with my breakfast and ate there. Every now and then I look at my phone to check the latest news on my social media account.

My phone rang and there was a call coming in. At first I thought that the one who called me was Riki. But when I saw her name again, it was Rina. I was so shocked to see Rina calling me this early in the morning.
I also received that call.
“Halo Assalamualaikum Ar? You now have no free time?”
“Waalaikumussalam, what is it?”
I think I want to be invited to go somewhere by him.
“I want to take you to Miyuki's school. He said at his school he was having a summer festival.”
“Festifal summer yes?”
It seems interesting, I also want to go there. But I'm so lazy if I have to go alone with Rina.
“Is it just the two of us?”
“So I've invited Riki and Maul.”
“What's their answer?”
“They will come.”
I've guessed it.
“Alright, I'll come with you.”
“Then we make an appointment at the busway stop at nine o'clock ya.”

Rina closed her call and I looked directly at the wall clock in the living room.
Hmmmm... There's still two hours to go before nine. Looks like lazing around first is no problem.
After finishing breakfast I lay down for a while on the sofa in the living room while playing my phone.
Two hours had passed, I was already on my way to the TransJakarta stop. I've got a message from Rina that she and Riki and Maul have arrived there.
When I got there, I saw Rina and the others sitting waiting for me.
“Hei Mar, you were a long time ago.”
Maul can't wait to go to Miyuki's school.
“Sorry.. Excuse me... I have to clean the house first before going.”
I'm not making this up, that's what I'm doing.
“Truely too, I forgot about it.”
“Do you know where Miyuki's school is?”
I asked Rina who was looking at her phone from earlier.
“...Oh if the problem is Miyuki already sent her location to me?”
Rina showed us her phone screen.
“Festifal summer huh? I can't wait what it's like.”
Riki was very excited to go there.
“I have attended such an event once when it was held in Block M. The event was very lively, a lot of shows, food, and goods sold there.”

Riki and I are excited about it.
The food!! I can't wait to taste the food there. Wait for... Do I have to use Miyuki to buy me a meal there?
“I just can't wait to see what a special school looks like for Japanese people.”
I saw Maul who was thinking about something. It seems like she still hasn't given up on getting a boyfriend.
“Oi Rik, you didn't take Kirana?”
“I asked him earlier, he can't come. Actually he really wants to come, but there is an OSIS task that he has to complete. Will soon be entering a new school year.”
That's what I'm lazy to do if I have to join OSIS. Your vacation doesn't feel like a vacation.
Finally the bus we were waiting for arrived, we immediately boarded the bus.

We were already in front of Miyuki's school. The school has a different form of architecture with most schools in Jakarta. The shape of the building is similar to a Korean school located near my home.

I saw her enthusiastic Riki suddenly go up.
From the front of the school, there were a lot of people entering the school. On the gate there is a very large gate with Japanese writing on it.

I guess Maul knows what it is, because I think Maul likes cartoons from Japan a little.
“Hei Mar, I am sure there are a lot of very beautiful female students in there. I'm sure that, Miyuki alone is as beautiful as that, there must be many others.”
Maul approached and whispered to me. I saw Maul's face was very happy. I think that's what he thinks about when he's at the busway stop.
“I feel sorry for Riki for having to be loyal to Kirana there.”
Maul tries to taunt Riki who can't be free to approach any woman.

Riki tried to taunt Maul back.
I just looked inside the school and hoped that nothing would happen. You know, this school is a Takeshi school. If Miyuki were here, she would be here too.
Soon after, Miyuki appeared from the school towards us. Right next to him were two friends.

“Not really, we just arrived here.”
Maul approached and embraced me.
“See that Mar, Miyuki's friends are pretty decent too. I'll try to approach one of them.”

“All of you, introduce these to my two friends. You may not be strangers anymore, because they were at that time also joined the Thousand Islands.”
Miyuki introduced the two of them to us.
“My name is Kichida Fuyumi, you can call me Kichida, greetings know.”
Kichida is seen as a quiet girl, her attitude she also looks very cold.
“My name is Yoshida Akane, you can call me Yoshida, greetings know everyone.”
The other friend looks more cheerful than Kichida.
This sound... It seems I've heard this voice before, but where is it.
I also looked closely at Yoshida. I felt like I remembered it and talked to him once. Yoshida was embarrassed to be seen by me, and she hid behind Miyuki's body.
“Come everyone, I will take you around my school while enjoying this festival.”
We went to school and enjoyed the festival. When I entered the school, I felt a different air than before. I felt like I was in a different country.
While we were going around the festival, I saw a lot of food and beverage stands there, and all of them served Japanese food that I never ate at all. Don't eat it, just hear the name I never. Maybe it's just takoyaki name that I've heard because there was a merchant who sold it in my SD.
The school also has a large field, and right in the middle of the field there is a stage that presents music from Japan. When I heard the song I was playing, I tried to understand and capture a few words of the song, but there was not a single word I understood.
If the Japanese word I understand is only ikkeh ikkeh kimochi, but I do not know the meaning of that word. It's just that my friends often say that when we're talking about Japan. Actually the time together with Miyuki I once wanted to ask about the meaning of the word, but it doesn't seem like it's anything good.

Maul told me to look at someone in a costume like a cartoon character.

We continued our journey to tour the festival. Riki from earlier did not say anything at all, he looked more silent and calmer, it seemed like he was trying to hold back his loyalty to Kirana.

Miyuki told him to all of us.
“Hanabi?”
We were all confused to hear that word. Because none of us understand what the word hanabi means.
“That's a loh, fireworks!”

Miyuki took us to one of the food stands there. Even Miyuki bought each one of us food.

“This is okonomiyaki.”

“How much is Miyuki?”
Lina took her purse and planned to pay for the food.

We were all surprised to hear that from Miyuki.

“Already Rin, let's just say this is my thanks because you have invited me to climb to Mount Prau.”
“You ever climbed Myucchi mountain?”
Yoshida asked Miyuki very curiously.
Myucchis? The call was strange.

Miyuki looked very happy when she explained that.
We also ate the okonomiyaki that Miyuki had just bought.
When I started eating the okonomiyaki, I tasted a new food the first time I tried it. Flour, eggs, and some vegetables blend in perfectly. In addition, there are some octopus that has been cut into small pieces to make the taste richer, but what makes okonomiyaki is delicious is a brown sauce, mayonnaise, and, and this fish shavings that make okonomiyaki more delicious.
*The chocolate sauce that Amar means is a special sauce commonly used in takoyaki or okonomiyaki. While the fish shavings are katsuobushi derived from the fish shavings skipjack.
“Enak once!”
Lina seemed to like the food.
“Iya, this is delicious.”
“Yes... That's pretty.”
So did Riki and Maul.
I think when I get home I'll try to make it at home.
After finishing our meal, we continued to tour the festival. At that time I parted with Miyuki and the others, I was accompanied only by Yoshida, whereas at the time of the split I told him to go around with the others, but somehow he forced me to come with him.
Actually my intention was to part with them for wanting to taste the food without being bothered by them, but since Yoshida was here my plan became a failure, but Yoshida's presence had no effect on me at all, because he just kept quiet and followed me. I don't know what she's going to do with me, it seems more fun to go with Miyuki and the others.
I was also a little curious about Miyuki's attitude earlier. Tumben once he didn't force to come with me either, instead he tried to separate Rina from me. It's quaint...
I tasted almost all the food there. Fortunately my parents didn't cut my pocket money even though I was on vacation, so I have a lot of money to spend right now. Considering that I have a monthly allowance soon, I should at least enjoy the money that I have been collecting.
But I'm grateful that Yoshida is here, because there are some booths whose sellers are Japanese and do not speak Indonesian fluently. So I told Yoshida to order some food for me. Although not all of them, occasionally Yoshida also ordered food with me.
I just realized it earlier, when Miyuki became acquainted with me she did not tell me to call her Kotobuki, whereas her first name was Kotobuki. Kichida and Yoshida told me to call
they have his first name. Does it also belong to their culture in greeting as well?
I didn't realize the afternoon had arrived. After the Ashar prayer, I also planned to gather with Miyuki and the others, but again Yoshida invited me to go somewhere. Me too

I was a little surprised to remember that. It was fitting that I felt no stranger to him, because it was quite dark and our lighting was just a campfire, so I could not see his face clearly.

While waiting for the hanabi event, we enjoyed the musical performances presented there. Many bands perform and sing Japanese songs there. Of course, because it's a Japanese festival.
The more the night the more people gathered on the main stage to watch the hanabi event. Just before the event hanabi performed a DJ that made the entire audience cheer crowded and excited.
At that time I was just silent in the crowd of people who were jumping up and down with excitement. The crowd made my head a little dizzy. I'm not used to seeing people like this. My chest trembled slightly due to the pressure from the extremely loud bass sound.
I saw Riki and Maul who really enjoyed the show.
Finally the long-awaited event arrived, the host began to take to the stage to take over the show.
“Alright Mina-san, now is the time for the long-awaited event.”
The mina-san?

Cheers of many spectators who were there. Even Maul and Riki also cheered with excitement.
“Now let's count down... Ten.”
The host did a countdown that was followed by all the spectators.

I looked around there, everyone was already on the assemble. Even the merchants who were previously in their booth also gathered in the field.
“Eight..”.
Lina looked very happy.
“Seven..”
And Miyuki too.
“Six..”
Maul and Riki shouted very loudly.
“Five..”
Do I have to do the same with them?
“Four..”.
I don't think so, I don't fit in with things like that.
“Three..”.
All the lights started to turn off, whether it was in the school or on the stage.
“Two..”.
The entire audience grew more excited as the count dwindled.

Fireworks were burning brightly in the sky. For more than five minutes, we watched the sky filled with fireworks with varying colors, even shapes and ways of exploding were also different. In addition, the DJ who had filled the show earlier, began to play the song back to make the entire audience more excited.
I smiled a little when I saw my current position.
I didn't expect to be in this condition. Is this what people call youth? It's a hassle, but it doesn't seem to hurt to try it.
