In her room, Fara had her chin propped up on a pillow that was on her lap. Looks full of his face. Every now and then Fara looked at her phone screen, like she was waiting for something.
Long time just with the position and the phone screen that turns on but nothing makes Fara clucked. Own upset.
Chequek!! The door of the room opened from the outside distracting Fara. There was Rika, her smiling mother knot in the doorway. Slowly Rika approached her only child who was sitting on a mattress.
Rika's hand grabbed the child's hair that slightly covered her daughter's face. He also smiled gently at his daughter. Fara rolled her eyes puffed.
My mom smiled, right?
Fara didn't care about that smile. For a long time the girl did not get the attention of her parents until once noticed, the girl did not respond to anything. Just happy not.
"Come, we're going down." Rika nodded her head, taking Fara downstairs. "Papa, Grandpa, Grandma's waiting for dinner. Comeon?"
Fara sighed. He lyrics once on his phone screen. It seems like he is better off getting off than observing his phone which he had been waiting for. What was waiting for that girl.
The arrival of Rika and Fara took the attention of the three people who had been at the dining table. Fara chose to sit near her mother who was beside her father.
"Why don't you come down after isya', Fara?" Grandma voice. Stop the hand of Fara who was taking the rice.
Fara hates to be asked. It's better to eat an apple than to be asked this. It sucks! However, Fara will answer to her grandmother, really!
"I met with my old friend online, Grandma." Fara again took the rice, and continued with enough side dishes.
Observing Fara's changes made Grandma not want to ask more. After a super short conversation between Fara and Grandma, they solemnly dined. Quiet there.
"Ndra, papa would like to ask you." Grandpa put down his fork spoon. Candra nodded, assuring. "During Singapore, have you been paying attention to Fara's religious education?"
Sensitive!
A very sensitive question in Fara's hearing, he immediately put his fork spoon and drank a glass of water. But, for Candra and Rika, what about them as parents?
"Indra, respond!" Long wait makes grandma impatient. He urged his son. Is such a simple question unanswered?
"Why did Papa Mama ask that? Any issues?" Candra asked back. Really he did not realize if grandparents feel uncomfortable seeing the attitude and style of Fara.
Surprised not playing!
Grandma and grandfather never thought that such an answer would come out of their daughter-in-law, Rika. Really, beyond a doubt. Banning meddling? Children and daughters-in-law reluctant parents remind their mistakes?
"Pa, Ma .. We will bear the consequences. We will also arrange it. One thing Papa Mama needs to know, Fara is comfortable with her life now." Rika continued speaking.
Grandpa was silent for quite a while, and so was Grandma. After that, Grandpa spoke up.
"Papa and Mama as parents are just a reminder. You guys want to hear it or not, that's up." Grandpa doesn't want to happen anything unwanted. For example, the hatred of sons and daughters-in-law to their parents for interfering too much in their lives. Naudzubillah...
"I'm sorry grandparents, huh, Fara?" Grandpa looked at his granddaughter who was enjoying the pudding. Fara has stopped eating since. Eneg it feels like it.
Fara nodded. He stood up from his seat a second later. "BUT I BEG YOU, DON'T INTERFERE WITH MY LIFE, PLEASE... I'M SCARED OF GRANDPARENTS LIKE THIS."
Checkmate!
No one spoke anymore, they were all silent. Grandfather just nodded.
After speaking not too long but very cold, Fara chose to leave the dining table. Rika wanted to prevent Fara from speeding up her pace, her intentions were locked in.
Fara sat on her bedside. He lowered his head, his hands clutching the edge of the bed, his lips tightly clenched. Before long Fara inched to the floor, she hugged her two knees and drowned her face there.
