Because the academy was closed, as usual Ren was lazing around by reading a book in the middle room.
Two of his servants were waiting for Ren. If Ren needs something, Maria and Ririka can help him quickly.
Rei, her brother came in a bad mood. Her pretty face now looks gloomy. Ren could guess the reason for his brother being like that. But there was nothing Ren could do because it wasn't his fault.
"Why are you lazing around and not going somewhere?"
"Today the weather is very hot. It sucks if I have to get out of the house."
His sister answered really upset him but he knew that his sister was very fond of the hot sunlight. But something intrigued him, something unusual for Rei.
"Where's Yukari?"
"She just left with her new friend and she'll be back later in the day or afternoon."
Ren continued to focus on his book and answered his brother's questions without looking into his eyes. Rei sighed resignedly. Usually he has to take care of a lot of documents in his office but today he is on leave so he has a lot of free time.
However, he had intended to play with his sister but he only focused on his book. Rei sat on the sofa while thinking about how to spend his free time. But without his sister's notice like he could read his mind well.
"Why not go for a walk with Alson?"
"He was busy teaching the children in the orphanage."
"All right, we're going."
Ren immediately closed the book and kept it on the table. Rei tilted his head in confusion but his sister immediately answered her brother's confusion.
"Aren't you bored? We go for a walk together maybe it'll be fun."
Rei was surprised to not believe it. For the first time she left the book and went with him. For Rei this was an extremely rare thing and would not happen a second time.
Both of them immediately prepared and changed their clothes with more casual ones and went out.
As usual the city was very crowded and filled with a sea of people. A lot of people were passing by, some were shopping, and some were chatting with their friends.
The brothers entered a market that sold various types of goods and tools. Every time the shopkeeper always tried to offer their goods but Ren managed to make the store owner leave by manipulating his brain.
Rei kept staring at the accessories store. Ren who was aware of it immediately approached the store and looked for accessories suitable for his brother.
"Did you prefer a hairpin over a bracelet?"
"Wait? You want to buy a sister?"
"Why not? Or does your sister prefer a necklace?"
Rei was confused by her choice because of the myriad of beautiful and cute accessories yet she was not sure what was suitable for her own. His eyes were fixed on the earrings his sister was wearing. Star-shaped earrings with a deep black color so it is difficult to see their shape from a distance. The earrings he wore were very suitable as if it was depicting his sister, then he saw crescent-shaped earrings in sea blue. It was like a moon formed from a collection of sea water.
"How much is this?"
"Oh! Good choice sir. It was a moon that symbolized calmness, like seawater at night. There was no sound except calm. For the master I will give a promo so that only 2 silver and 6 copper only."
"Then I buy."
Rei was happy, it felt like his sister could read his mind or because they were big sister so that they could hear their inner voices from each other. Regardless of the price Ren paid for it and gave it to Rei.
"You're so nice but why did you choose this?"
"Eitherway. I thought it was a perfect fit for big brother, so I bought it. Maybe you don't like it?"
Rei was surprised to hear Ren's words. Not only is she cute but also she is so kind and considerate of herself. Recalling that a few days ago he had fallen down from the top floor and was fighting against a freak who controlled monsters, he was truly an innocent child.
Since that incident, Rei swore to himself to become stronger and protect his younger brother with all his abilities.
"Sister?"
Rei shed tears so that it soaked his cheeks. Her beautiful face was now wet with tears.
"Did such a brother not like those earrings? Then..."
Ren immediately stopped talking, Rei shook his head then smiled at his sister.
"No, brother's just happy."
Rei immediately wiped away his tears with his hand then smacked his cheek to keep it firm.
"Well, where else should we go?"
Ren did not understand what his brother was thinking but one thing he knew that his brother had returned to cheerful and not moody anymore.
Behind the palace, 15:00
"For a long time we did not gather and enjoy tea while waiting for the sun to set like this."
Currently there are six princesses who are sitting while enjoying tea and some snacks. These six princesses even though they had not met for a long time but they still looked very familiar.
"This is really good." Praise Eleonore, while drinking the tea with pleasure.
"of course. Because it's made of leaves from my kingdom." Ariana.
The tea they ate became the topic of conversation of these princesses but their topic was instantly changed by Luna who opened the conversation.
"What do you think of Noir?"
"Noir?" Luciana's confused. Although this is a chat show between princesses but the discussion about the figure that lately is becoming hot news.
"I can tell you that he's very dangerous." Dorothy.
"Yes, considering the incident six years ago during the red magic incident. I'm pretty sure it was Noir." Almira answered by enjoying the cake in front of her.
The servant standing behind Luna realized her master's cup was empty and she immediately refilled it. Luna immediately continued the conversation that was being discussed by these friends.
"I believe that Noir is not a bad person."
"Why do you think that, more importantly why are we suddenly talking about Noir?" Ariana.
Ariana felt that Luna seemed interested in Noir being discussed but at once the air around felt a bit tense so they all stopped talking and were alert to the surroundings.
Usually the air in the palace always feels cool and pleasant but now the air feels scary. It was as if the air was saying that they were in danger.
