Chapters 12.

Maura bent both legs, her heart completely shattered after receiving a call from her father. His tears continued to flow until his sobs were heard to the ears of Dion and Miko who were still sitting not far from his place fell down languidly.

The two handsome men were shocked, the gazes of the two meeting each other. Miko moved her head, Dion shrugged her shoulders. None of them knew what was going on with Maura at the moment.

"Sir Maura, Brother why?" miko asked, she stepped over to Maura and sat down before the girl.

Maura did not say anything, her face was covered by her knees which she still tightly closed. That certainly makes Miko confused.

Miko turned her head towards Dion who was still silent in her seat. His shriveled forehead beckoned for Dion to come towards Maura.

As Dion's eyes grew bigger, he shook his head rejecting Miko's unreasonable request. How could he possibly approach that girl who was still afraid of him.

"Sister Maura, what happened to Brother? Talk to me! If it's like this I'll be confused." said Miko while scratching her head that does not itch at all.

Slowly, Maura raised her head. Her eyes were puffy, her gaze was heart-wrenching which made Miko feel pity. The young man ventured to bring Maura into his arms.

Intentions wanted to help reduce the sadness in Maura's heart, but the girl's cry became even more in her arms. That certainly makes Miko distraught.

From another angle, Dion gritted his teeth. His jaw tightened strongly watching the sight. His hands even clenched tightly with the look of eyes that looked so sharp.

It was very desirable for him to barge in between the two of them, but the intention was back he paused considering that the man was his own foster brother. In the end, he chose to leave that place.

Not long after, Maura's cries began to subside. He felt very relieved after getting a place to lean.

Late at night, Miko and Maura decide to go home to her grandmother. But when he wanted to say goodbye to Dion, suddenly Miko was stunned to find an empty bench behind him.

"Where is he?" miko looked around her.

Not seeing Dion everywhere, the two finally returned home without saying goodbye to Dion.

The footsteps of Miko and Maura sounded further and further away in Dion's ears, he came out from behind a large tree and stared at the backs of the two with an unusual gaze.

In the morning, all Dion's essentials were neatly arranged in the trunk of the car. He looked at the old house softly before finally driving his car towards Nek Ida's house.

Arriving in front of the house, Dion came down with a look that looked so cold. His face looked flat, not a single smile emanated from the look on his face. He did not even look towards Maura at all.

"Good morning, Mother!" greet Dion to Nek Ida and Bik An who have been waiting on the porch of the house.

Dion shook Nek Ida's hand, then kissed the back of her hand as a form of respect. The same thing he did to Bik An who was none other than Miko's mother.

While Dion was saying goodbye to everyone, Miko rushed to transport her luggage and arrange it in the trunk of a car that still looked roomy.

After everything is done, Miko returns to the porch of the house following Dion and says goodbye to everything. No exception with Maura who he had considered like his own brother.

Unlike Dion, he did not even look at Maura's face. It made Miko who was watching him, feel strange with her brother's attitude.

Dion and Miko step towards the still-lit car in front of Nek Ida's house. It made all eyes start crying to take off both of them.

Instantly, Dion who was about to get into the car was immediately stunned to hear Maura say her name. For some reason his chest suddenly thumped so hard that he turned to look at the girl.

"Daaaaaah...,"

Maura waved her hand, which made Dion finally smile at the girl's pretty face. It was very desirable for him to come closer and hug Maura at this moment. But what the power of his hands will not be able to do all that. He could only reply to Maura's hand from a distance.

After a few minutes, the car disappeared from everyone's sight. Nek Ida and Bik An then wiped their already wet faces.

After the departure of Miko and Dion, Maura's face looked slightly moody. The atmosphere that was previously crowded, now felt so quiet that he had no friends in this place anymore.

Today he is also lazy to go to the garden with his grandmother, he chose to stay at home enjoying the remnants of his time here.

Inside the room, Maura began to look at every photo of her mother neatly lined up on the wall. Not feeling his tears coming back, his heart was really fragile considering his father's decision that he could not fight.

"If only Mother were here, surely Father wouldn't be this cruel to Maura." isak Maura as hiccupped.

On the road to the city, Dion was focusing on driving his car. But his heart started to get upset thinking about the incident this morning. She did not expect it at all, Maura finally mentioned her name for the first time.

Without him noticing, the smile on his face began to float. Even his heart was racing again which made him no longer focus on the streets.

Dion stepped on the brake pedal abruptly, almost hitting a cow passing in the middle of the road. It makes Miko's head hit hard on the car glass on the side.

"Au, s-h-i-t..," moaned Miko, then cursed.

Miko stroked her head slowly. The moment he looked like a stupefied person, his eyes began to twitch and blur. He also gritted his teeth.

"Sister Dion, do you want to kill me?" ketus Miko with a high tone.

Dion smiled slantingly, wanting her to laugh at Miko who was so cute at the moment, but she swallowed her laughter back.

Dion's face instantly reddened like a boiled shrimp. How cleverly he hid his thoughts, the boy could always guess.
