The RoofTop Girl's

The RoofTop Girl's
I need you, you're my half soul

Four hours later...

Doctor Coltrain came out looking for him. The golden-yellow haired man looked extremely tired.

"Sonia still survives." Doctor Coltrain told him. "We'll know the results in eight hours."

The doctor took a deep breath. The man looked at her and spoke softly, "In eight hours, Sonia will wake up ---or not."

He could see the rickshaw directly, on Audrey's side to sit in the long chair of the corridor. While mom was crying in my arms.

Those were the scariest words anyone ever said to her. He knew he was like an undead, staring at the heart surgeon.

Sonia will wake----or not...

Galih put his hand on his shoulder."Don't give up now." Whisper the man.

"I'm going crazy..." He said, "Eight hours..!"

"We can go home first to the apartment, you need a break Dim." Galih.

"Leaving the hospital, now?" ARE YOU CRAZY?!" He could no longer control himself, angry.

"It's only a few minutes, believe me. You can collapse like this."

Galih was right, even he did not know he had eaten or not, he already did not care about it. It looks really messed up right now.

"Go first, rest and clean up, I will tell you every development of Sonia, and no one can enter the room other than me and the team." Doctor Coltrain assured her.

"Doctor's gonna call me if anything changes?" He looked at Doctor Coltrain.

"I promise," Doctor Coltrain agreed.

Subterfuge

An hour later, Dimas fell asleep on the couch in the man's apartment. His appearance was neat, had been bathing and changed into clothes. Eat a little.

It's not fair, he knows, but his best friend was already close to having a heart attack. He dabbed Dimas with scotch whiskey and soda. Because Dimas almost never drank alcohol, the combination of worry, exhaustion, and alcohol immediately made him unconscious, like a light that was turned off.

Six hours later, Dimas woke up. The man blinked, looking around the room.

"Why am I here?" He could see Dimas asking in confusion, Dimas did not remember...

He still made a phone call to Coltrain's doctor when Dimas sat straight on the couch, terrified.

"What time is it now? Have you called the hospital? Sonja... What about Sonia? Dimas Seru.

He held up one hand, nodded, and said, "We'll be there soon." He hung up the phone and smiled.

"Sonia has recovered from the influence of anesthesia, she is conscious."

"Conscious ." Dimas shivering. "He's alive?!"

"Yes. He was still unresponsive, still slightly affected by anesthesia. But the doctors are optimistic. His new heart valve works perfectly."

Dimas stood up and held his head. "Damn! What did you give me just now?"

"Wiski scotch, soda, and some kind of substance that I really shouldn't have or explain because it's a secret." He grins.

"Let's go."

It was like getting back half of his life that was scattered when he heard that Sonia could survive, thanks God.

Like floating, and not setting foot on the floor again, while walking towards the room where the wife was, want to quickly be able to see Sonia.

He was allowed to visit Sonia, but only for a few minutes. Sonia's face looked as pale as paper, but her breathing rhythm was more regular and the sound from the monitor screen sounded quite stable.

He stroked his wife's face gently, down Sonia's cheekbones to the lips with the tips of her fingers.

As if he could feel his presence, Sonia's gray eyes opened and looked at him, with a slightly blank look.

"Darling, everything will be fine" he said softly. "Now, brother will take you home."

Sonia's lips faintly revealed a stiff smile before the girl's eyes closed again and fell asleep.

He touched Sonia's dry lips, and he felt love even when he looked at his wife.

He went out and returned to the waiting room more optimistically. The fear was still there, but he could definitely handle it.

The more days Sonia's condition improves. They woke and trained Sonia to walk the day after the surgery. That horrified him, but Galih insisted this is what must be done to restore Sonia's strength and, more importantly, to avoid respiratory infections as a side effect of surgery.

He led Sonia into the nursery very slowly that morning. He pushed Sonia's infusion pole. And the girl was wriggling in his arms.

They stopped in front of the nursery and the nurse held Fatih so they could see the baby.

"He looks like a big brother."Whisper Sonia, the girl's eyes glazed over when she saw baby Fatih for the first time. "Handsome."

"Like her mother."His whisper. If there wasn't a nurse there, he would have kissed Sonia by now.

Instead of kissing, he slipped his hand into Sonia's grasp. Staring at the girl and their baby was full of meaning.

"Thank you for taking such a huge risk to bring our children into the world."

"Sister gave it to me." Sonia's eyes glowed softly.

"I need you Sonia, you're my half soul."

"I need you too."

He almost forgot to look down to kiss the lips of the wife, if only the fat nurse did not wheeze.

Oh my... Dimaas public area?!"

To be continue...
