"When are you planning on leaving?"
"Tomorrow morning, maybe. I just came this afternoon and I'm still tired."
Last afternoon, such was the word spoken from Asahi's mouth when Jasmine asked for her departure. But for some reason, at this time Asahi felt that he would soon deny his own words.
Under a tree that was a little leaf but trunked quite thick, sat a resting Tanaka Asahi while looking at his bracelet. Not that there is no lodging in this Sibas village, but Asahi just wants to save money.
The bracelet, he made some time ago in one of the Fortuna city accessories stores. Silver bracelet that has a small flat round shape as a decoration. In the center of the circle, there is a beautiful engraving of letters reading "Minori" written using kanji. On the other side of the circle, there is also a kanji carving that is read "Neshitoka". The bracelet maker of course found it a little difficult to carve the letters that he thought were strange.
Asahi looked at her bracelet and never once did she kiss her.
"I can't sleep." he murmured with an increasingly restless heart. He looked back at his bracelet before looking at the night sky.
"Why do I feel bad? What's the matter? Not usually like this?"
Then, for some reason he even remembered his quest. He took the quest paper and looked fixedly.
"Here it clearly says Desert Snake, but why did Jasmine and the people say that in the desert there appeared the King Desert?"
Asahi turned her gaze and looked at the vast and endless expanse of desert.
"After all, the village of Sibas and the desert of Salavina was the first time I saw it. As I recall back in the Ring of Chaos, there was no desert called Salavina. Only the Sarbanian desert is where the city of Tarbani is built." Asahi muttered to no one, but her brain thought hard to translate the discomfort in her heart.
"But, all of that should have nothing to do with this unease. After all, this village seemed to be fine, there was no sign of a Desert Snake or King Desert invasion."
Asahi looked at the expanse of the Salavina desert with a look of wonder. The bracelet he held in his right hand was squeezed and placed it on his chest.
"What is this feeling...?"
Asahi put her bracelet back on and tried to sleep. But half an hour later, his body did not sleep at all and just closed its eyes. His feelings are getting uncomfortable.
"Damn it!"
He got up and immediately activated his Bounce Step skill. Fast forward to the endless stretch of Salavina sand.
With that darting skill, Asahi was running in an uncertain direction. Sometimes to the North, sometimes to the South, not infrequently to the East or West. But after an hour, he could not find a single trace of the existence of the Desert Snake or the Desert King.
"Why is it getting more and more disconcerting?" Asahi cursed and slammed her feet.
He stood up irritably in the middle of the desert while walking to his waist. Not until a minute had he stood up like that, his feet feeling a subtle vibration that was out of nowhere.
"What's this?" Asahi focused himself and looked at the bunch of sand he was treading. He could clearly see that the sand was moving slowly.
Reflex he held the sword hilt, putting up a ready position if there were monsters to attack. Because usually Desert Snake will launch his attack from under the sand. This is what always troubles the players because of its unpredictable appearance.
But after a long time standing with the attitude of the horses, Asahi got the fact that there was not a single Desert Snake attacking.
"What is this really about?" Asahi confused herself and tried to bring her ears closer to the desert sand, trying to guess where the small vibration came from.
A few moments later, his eyes widened because he could predict where the small earthquake came from.
"In the North!" he murmured before darting rapidly towards the direction in question.
And sure enough, when traveling towards the North, several times Asahi paused for a moment to make sure the correct direction was not addressed. Every time he stopped, the vibrations in the desert were more pronounced and the movement of the sand in the desert was more visible.
"I'm not wrong, it could be that they're a Fire Demon."
Asahi increased his speed, his Bounce Step skill he put down to the maximum level. As he climbed the small sand dunes, he felt the earthquake more and more uneasy his heart. He quickened his pace and when he got to the top.
BOOOMMERS
"Whatis that? What a terrifying power is this!" he murmured as he occasionally looked towards the bright light coming from.
About ten seconds later, the bright light disappeared, replaced by a thick dust that covered Asahi's view.
Trang-Trang-Trang
Many times Asahi heard a loud voice echoing in the air, but because of the dust, she was unable to see it at all. When there was an explosion for the second time, although not as big as before but quite loud, the wind from the explosion managed to sweep away the thick dust that blocked his view.
"J-Jasmine?"
The thing he saw was terrible. Being able to see it very clearly, more or less a hundred people in dark red uniforms, lying lifeless in the expanse of sand.
Not only humans, there were approximately fifteen carcasses of monstrous snake monsters with four to eight wings. Seeing this Asahi suspected that they were the so-called Desert King.
All around them, there were also many Desert Snake that were no longer shaped. Maybe they are over seventies.
The bodies, Asahi recognized them. From their uniforms, of course, these were the Fire Demon. The force is led by a former female general, Jasmine.
While the woman was fighting fiercely against four monstrous snake-shaped giant monsters that had twelve wings.
"What the fuck? Is it true that a maximum King Desert only has eight wings?" he involuntarily cried out in surprise.
Asahi saw that Jasmine was quite desperate. The wounds on his body were not sure how many and were only ignored by the woman. He steadfastly fought against the four giant snake monsters without the slightest fear.
When Jasmine managed to send a hard kick until it made one of the monsters bounce off for several meters, the monster in her blade opened its mouth wide and moved quickly to devour Jasmine.
Jasmine quickly turned around and her body stiffened instantly when she realized that there was no way to escape.
"Buck!"
SWUSSHH
TRANGS....NGIIIGG'S....
Asahi who saw that had already moved so fast once and immediately pulled out his sword. When he reached behind Jasmine, he immediately activated his Crescent Moon skill and managed to hold the fangs of the giant snake until it gave off a deafening sound.
"Ashi...!!" jasmine was shocked.
"Izanagi!"
SWUSSHH
A reddish-blue aura darted rapidly towards the face of the giant monster. But the heart of Asahi seemed to stop for a while when the monster was nimbly able to avoid it. And Izanagi's slash only scratched a bit of his wings.
"In this close distance he was able to dodge!? What the fuck, it doesn't make sense!" Asahi shouted furiously.
"Calm the pervert adventurer! He was this Desert Emperor, his strength was much stronger than a Desert King!" replied Jasmine who looked around sharply. It turned out that those monsters called Desert Emperor started to lock these two people up.
"Desert Emperor? What else is that!?"
"Not much obscene talk! Better think of your own life!" along with this, Jasmine had already cast her magic and attacked the Desert Emperor before her.
"Don't call me a fucking pervert!"
