Chapter :26 – Oasis

Exactly what Albert and Asahi thought. They suspect that their chairman, Hikaru Kento, is dead and may not have returned.

That was indeed the reality because Kento as the head of the Dragon Republic alliance had died while running S quest.

He seems to have forgotten that there has been a huge difference between the game world and the real world, so Kento did not consider the mission he was about to take.

The mission is to eradicate giant worm animals that often appear in the East of the city of Fortuna. Because it is very close to the city, then created this quest that wants someone to eradicate it for the safety of the city of Fortuna.

Coincidentally the one who took the mission was Kento. And when he arrived at the place where the giant worm appeared, he was surprised by the existence of several equally large worms. After death, something surprising happened. Kento lives again in the middle of a vast desert that seems to have no end. As far as the eye can see, there are only expanses and wide sand dunes that are bright brown with very hot air.

It was fortunate that Kento had such a long coat that he used it to cover his body and head from sun exposure.

Kento paused for a moment after walking for a few minutes. Behind him, it was clearly imprinted his trailing footsteps like a snake. Today, Kento stands on the highest mountain of sand.

"Where should I go? What desert is this anyway? Is this place adjacent to the city of Tarbani?" he muttered slowly while looking around with his eyes narrowed.

Tarbani is a desert city located in the middle of a vast sea of sand. It is a little far from Fortuna.

Around the city, there were stone mountains in a semicircular shape surrounding the entire city. The city of Tarbani is very big, but the mountains are even bigger. So that it should be within tens or hundreds of kilos of meters, people will already be able to see it.

Kento does not see any rock at this time. There are only hills and mountains of sand that do not go where the end is.

He began to get frustrated as his eyes involuntarily looked at something interesting.

Seen in the distance there, a mirage that made the air above the desert as if it was surging. But behind the mirage, Kento can see clearly the cluster of green trees and a lake that is wide enough in the middle.

Then he immediately exclaimed in excitement, "That's..oasis!!"

Oasis is a fertile place located in a remote place in the desert. Somehow the formation of the oasis is not many people who want to know, but something in the oasis that always attracts the attention of people.

How not, if the word oasis is called, what people first think of is a lake in the middle of the desert. Of course this is good news considering in the desert the water supply is very minimal.

Kento got off the hill and ran to it. His face was as radiant as it had just discovered a treasure trove of ancient figures' heritage.

Once there, Kento immediately approached the lake and took out three bottles of water. He filled the three bottles with lake water.

After it was filled, he picked up one of the bottles and drank it.

"Huah.freshly.." he cried with his eyes closed while looking up at the sky.

Suddenly, his face that had previously revealed an expression of relief turned serious when he heard something from the front not far from him.

The voice was like the voice of a woman who was bathing while humming. Due to the extreme thirst, Kento was unaware of it once he reached the oasis. Conversely, because it was too busy humming while rubbing the body, the woman seemed to not know if someone else was coming.

"Hehe..." Kento revealed a strange smile and his eyes began to display sharp eye rays. A second later, both of his legs had already stepped closer to the place.

Kento hides behind shrubs and trees. When he got there, there was a stifled cry from his mouth and his eyes bulged wide.

"Well, it turns out just washing clothes. I was hoping for too much."

Yes, the woman was washing clothes in the oasis lake. The gurgling sound of water like a bath person came from the lake water that was thrown into the body of the shirt to then rub using a brush on a flat wooden board.

When Kento wanted to turn around and leave from there, he unconsciously stepped on a dry stalk that managed to make a loud noise and make the woman aware of her condition.

"Wahhh!! Depraved man, what do you want!!" he snapped while throwing the flat board.

It hurt enough when Kento's left cheek hit a piece of wood board. But he tried to remain patient by telling the true events. Of course he lied a little because if he said that before he thought the gurgling sound was the sound of people bathing, then of course this time either still intact or not his body.

But Kento didn't tell me why he was in the desert. He simply said that this time was lost and thirsty, then came to this oasis and there was a misunderstanding.

"Oh so it's like that." said the woman already understood the state of Kento.

"Yes, and I'm considered a depraved man. It hurts so much." said Kento, squeezing his chest and left cheek.

While the girl just laughed a little while covering her face with one of her hands.

"Include me, my name is Luna" said the girl as she thrust her right hand to invite Kento's greeting.

"Hikaru Kento." he replied briefly while shaking Luna's hand.

"Surely strange name..." Luna chuckled before continuing, "After I finish my laundry, I'll take you to the nearest town from here. There you can find information or a map to get back to where you came from."

Kento just nodded his ass. He actually did not know Luna was a bad or good person, but there was no choice but to believe her. After all if the girl attacked, what could she do? While he alone was a powerful player in the Ring of Chaos.

As promised, after finishing her laundry, Luna immediately invited Kento to return to the nearest town.

Actually Kento was a little surprised. Because isn't the entire four winds just a desert? Where is there a city? So he thought wondering.

Then he tried to ask Luna, "Luna, is there a city? From yesterday I kept walking and found absolutely no sign of the existence of the city or life. And to be honest, I still doubt if you're a real human or just a mirage?"

"Hihi. It's just that I'm a girl and you're a boy."

"On that I already know just by looking at the shape of the body–I mean, your face." said Kento somewhat stuttered in the last sentence because he got a piercing gaze from Luna.

Shortly after, no more conversations were heard. Both are just focused walking. Actually the focus is only Luna because Kento only tailed it.

"We're up."

Suddenly Luna stopped her steps and said something that made Kento almost crazy. He said he was going to take her to the city and that line still resonated all over his ears. Yet what he saw at the moment, was completely far from the word city.

"A..here?"

"Right, right here. Right in front of us."

"Haah.you must not deceive me!! Are you the ant that makes a home in the sand? Where there is a city, it is just sand. It's no different from the previous view!" kento exclaimed in annoyance that Luna had taken him to an empty place consisting only of desert sand.

"I know this region better than you. Don't act sober!" reply Luna tightly while removing a grain of iron like a coin, but on the coin there is a carving of his face.

"Cling!"

There was a bright light as Luna raised her hand forward and made the ring shine. After that, the siniar that came from the ring moved elongated and hit something in front.

"Ding–Ding!"

The sound of the bang was heard and gradually revealed a bluish portal but from where Kento was standing at this time, it was clearly visible behind the portal.

"What's this?"
